Idea - Reward for leveling up.

Well, those of you who play SS2, you get 1 free *Bound* Flux Crystal for every level you make.


I'd really like if that was to be added to Fallensword.

There would be many plus sides to it:

- It would create a more exciting element to leveling. Most people I know find leveling boring :P
- It would encourage more people to level up.
- It would encourage new players to progress through levels.
- The fsps rewarded are bound :D

If they did wouldn't that mean an over-flow in the market place and a big loss on the cows? it's a good idea, don't get me wrong ... I just think it's a little late to implement it...

Well I already was level 43 on SS2 when I found out about them, and I got 43 free FCs.

Maybe there could be a maximum 100 bound fsps, and they stop after you reach level 100 ?

On top of that you can't give away FSP because that would give multi accounters the chance to gain lots of fsp fast the first levels. So it should be coins or gear

... if you give 100 times the level coins, than it still isn't much and what is 100k for a lvl 1000 player: nothing. And if you give more it would create a chance for multi accounter (illegal btw) to gain lots of cash or it could mess up the market up so that FSP become even more expensive because there is an overflow on cash.

... if you give gear than you could mess up the auction house a lot because they get the gear that they need, so that not meny items are left to sell on the AH.

... If you give potions, well that messes up the buff sellers (about 60% of the peeps sell buff and it is a nice extra income of money).

I see no good way of implementing this system at this stage of the game, only thing you could do is give extra stamina or bagspaces, but this will influence the income of THC and thats why this wont happen.


So I have to say NO to this idea unless u see a good way to bring this in game.

First of all, HCS are trying to SINK the amount of GOLD entering the game, that is why I chose Fsps.

Second, it wont encourage multis because the Fsps are BOUND, and therefore cannot be sent to the main account.

I doubt anyone would want gear as a reward anyway. If it was Legendary, it would screw up the market and if it was common/rare gear, nobody would want it.



And I said stop at level 100, so the amount of fsps in the game would not become too high.



One more suggestion:

For every 5 levels, you could earn a bound fsp or two.

In ss2 the crystals they give are bound. The only thing you can use them on are character upgrades. I think this would be a nice addition to fs to help keep players around who have a hard time upgrading their characters.

I guess I forgot to mention they can only be used on upgrades.

So basicly you want something like the loyalty program, but for levelers. I realy don't like the idea of stopping at level 100. It just doesn't fit with your idea of making leveling up more exciting.

Don't think they will give away extra FSP because it is a direct stab for their income.

Let us just think in numbers here ... let us say 1 fsp for every level up until level 101 ... thats 100 FSP/person ... thats little less than 20$ each person ... there are over 15000 people 100+. Thats is a total of 300000$ less possible earnings (people wont buy more than they need/want).

You probably don't know, but MANY players here do not donate money to HCS. I do donate as much as I can. I don't know how many low level players I've seen begging for fsps to upgrade their character, because they cannot buy fsps and/or cannot complete point rewards.

It is very hard for a low level player (i.e. under level 100), to earn enough fsps to upgrade their character, so this is a way to help them upgrade their character.

And bringing more gear into the game is not a good idea (especially for lower levels). There are by far enough sets around level 4-200.

True ... I can not donate much neither (student life aint cheap ... beer costs a lot).

I still think that it should go further than level 100. It just doesn't fit in your idea to motivate leveling up. I don't say they should add gear it is just a possibility on which they could use there points on. People could use those points on enchant buffs for example.

(btw: arent the skills the rewards for leveling up?)

Keep it simple and do the same as their other game/idea. 1 bound fsp per level period no cap as people are always upgrading their character. In the long run this would keep more people around and gather more donations. I was really pleased to see this in sigma I just did not like the game lol.

I was going to start playing Sigma again when I saw this implemened, but then I saw that HCS would not be updating the game anymore, so it's a no-go for me lol.

FS isn't as desperate as SS2, at least not yet. It was a last ditch effort to keep that game going and it failed. I DON'T want to see it here in FS! There are already enough rewards for leveling, two level up points and 5 skill points. If anything needs to be better rewarded it is for PvPing.

All those tokens to make "free" gear to sell to levellers for copious amounts of dots. I find it amusing that you're so vehemently opposed to ANYTHING that doesn't fit YOUR definition of a perfect game :).

*chuckles* - touch a nerve there did I ? - You want the cows to concentrate on your favourite aspect of the game and others want them to concentrate on theirs. As for original idea, I think you'll find I've posted quite a few - including the current in-game poll one.
