Yes, though it is nice that some items get an overhaul, I have also had completely unfamiliar items in MB, till i scroll over and find out what they are.

There again, I still haven't got used to all the buff-icons, again they are nice, but as they're drawn on big images, where the meaning can be inferred from the drawing, reduced to icon-size they're not as clear as the old ones were .

How hard can it be to inform which items are being changed?

The effort they're putting in towards updating old images is praiseworthy, but not announcing it is a big blunder

It's funny you bring this up. The artists must have plenty of extra time on their hands. I'm still trying to figure out what buff goes with what icon. But it's not the end of the world... at least it's forward progress, I think. I don't dabble with reborn gear ever, and whatever else it was they updated, but they could have at least made an announcement even without a "list" of gear that was changed.

And this has nothing to do with all the new buffs for higher levels?

Yes, it has nothing to do with 1200 skills. As far as "hunting" is concerned you play a small fraction of the game by your accomplishments and start date. There are many more buffs that have had their icons changed than the ones used to level. You should try using them! That might take some more memorizing however...

The graphic changes finally made it to my backpack it seems........ I don't dare say my backpack is close to the size of yours but reading comprehension alone let me know what items were there.

Don't think because I started this game early and that I am only 442, (have been away a while) that I know few about the buffs that are out there. I do not use only basic buffs for hunting.

I recognise most of the buffs ... and if I don't I hold the cursor over it.

How about that? Me recognising the buffs and you don't

I could care less about your level compared to your start date. I only made a note of it, and you for that matter, because of a lack of accomplishing anything whatsoever in all that time and the fact that you have attempted to insult me. Your ability to recognize skills, new and old, doesn't amaze me as much as you posting more stupidity.

Besides replying to the trolling, all I've stated in this thread is that I agree with Hades that a simple announcement that images, skill icons AND gear, would have been appreciated. I stand by my statement that you play a small portion of the game. Your bio is my evidence.

Now bugger off troll!

I don't like the way you talk ... first you call me a noob, than when I react to that you start insulting me even more because it has some sarcasm in it. And you calling me a troll, I can not aprove such language. It is just uncalled for and unnecesary.

And the idea of the hunted cows post a message every time they change minor things ... thats just unwise. Because they do not change images all at once, it will just give a spam of message to let you know which images have changed. They could post them onforum tough.

Always need to have the last smug comment?

Actually they do change images in batches. Changing a bunch around the same time as a major LE event causes confusion for players.

Now troll go back to your bridge and stop trying to derail the thread. Hades has a valid reason for making the post, and it's clear he isn't the only one who has been caught out by this. Because you are 'special' and it hasn't impacted you, doesn't mean that hades doesn't have a valid thread.

Please stop trolling about me!!!! and go on with the topic????

So you think that you will be less confused when they say it also on the main page?
How would it even be possible, if they do it in batches to show it on the game news? It would just be a huge list with pictures and names that no-one will read or even remember because its to much at once... post it on forum? nobody reads the forums.
Why isn't holding your cursor on the item to see his name enough? The first thing you should do when u see a strange new item in your bagpack is looking at his name.

Like it is now, u see a new item in your BP look at it and remember were it stands for and u won't be overloaded with a lot of changes at the same time, because u dont notice them all at once.

Altough in general they should post all of their updates somewhere (most times they use the forums for that), even the small updates. So that you can easely folow the progresss of the game.

Kid, you've a lot to learn about trolling. I am not doing such a thing in this thread.

Now to answer your inane rambling:
The cows simply need to post an announcement in game
"Our artists have updated the graphics on gear in the xx-xx range, be sure to check out the improvements and let us know what you think!"
or
"Our artists have updated the graphics on the following sets: xxx yyy zzz, let us know what you think of the updates!"

That is by no means confusing and it at least warns people who drop anything that doesn't look like the item they want to keep, especially when it's an LE event and very tight time constraints.

Finally, @hades: Sorry the thread has gone somewhat to the dogs. Hopefully the cows still take note and read past the white noise.
