To the players calling for the pvp gained equipment to be bound, one question what happens when they have worked for and got the said bound equipment ? Do you think they will keep putting the effort in to gain equipment that they all ready have ?

Edit the reason why these type of rewards should not be.

Potions, Potions! We want potions too, Bound..

This, and there's always the dominance. And why would we be there if it wouldn't be fun, ffs?

Yussssss, lots of possibilities for potions aimed at leveling OR pvp OR both. Would be useful for gvg too ( until the system is changed)

potions are something we've all agreed are a good reward. (perhaps the new wither450 would've made a great reward).

I agree maeh...I stomp, gold hit,and BH for fun...I do all these and play ladder...why not be rewarded for participating in ALL aspects of PvP.

If HCS includes potions as well... as has been mentioned TIME AN TIME AND TIME again.. let's say a Thievery potion or a Master Thievery potions... that PvPers have been asking for for as long as I have played .. then they would continue to compete for it. Also making the gear crystalline... and stepping up to make the changes that will not allow crystalline to be fully protected by UB... then the gear will need replacing. Savy?

+100 i got ya :D they sound a hell of a lot more useful that equipment!

The reward is secondary ( hence i suggested bound), its having an actual leader board which shows who is the most active in pvp in their respective brackets, that I would like to see.

I agree again maeh...bound is only way to go with these items. especially potions...forces people who want them to actually earn them.

Like the Rage potion I have been crying for!!

This is getting kind of out of hand. People are saying others are crying when said person has cried time and time again, even about being pvped wich said person is trying to defend.

We all have opinions and it is looking that the changes are being heavily voted for. That is how this game is and always has been.

You have a few of us who are having the most fun when we are being delvled, you have the hunters who just wanna hunt, and blah blah blah.

As long as these new changes still allow people to opt in/out and still allow pvp protection, we will just adapted, like always.

People like Maeh, spider, abhor, myself and the like who have always pvp'ed always adapt to the changes. Lets stop getting personal (insert name here)

As long as there is still the opt out possibility Im happy with this:)

In the first PvP Improvements thread, which has since been deleted I think, Rod sais the PvP opt in/out would be removed...

+1 they wont,,they wont have much reason to put any effort into the game anymore

I consider gold hitting, deleveling to support my guild, and bounty hunting fun. I'll still do it regardless of ladder rewards or not ;) and i know MANY others who would too.

i pvp regularly...........havent played the ladder since december........yeah it will still hapen

That's a great example you have of the PvP and Bounty system you plan on implementing into FS.

Personally, I like the idea, but then again, it sounds like people will just smack you silly from a lower level and get a lot of PvP Rating points. It's like this:

Say the PvP Ladder that is demonstrating is the level range 100-149. A person that is level 125 can hit anyone between 100 and 149. However, a person that is 101 and on the ladder can only attack someone between 100 and 126. Basically, it's like making fewer targets for someone just because that person is a higher/lower level. Speaking as a player, but not a PvP Ladder player, I believe that the PvP Ladder should be based off gear advantages and disadvantages. An Attack equivalent to a Defense of another player, basically saying. That way, people will not just attack the same person over and over to get PvP Ladder points just because that person has less Defense and Armor compared to the attacker's Attack and Damage. We need something that will give us variety. :D I ran out of ideas.

Another thing: I believe that the multiplier is insane for the higher level killing.

You did not read the idea correctly.

The brackets are used for ranking but you have +-25 level range. Go read again.

Question to HCS, with all the feedback ( majority of it VERY positive) on the thread I made ( kudos to many friends and foes for helping tweak the idea)

Why make so many changes to what was ideally seen to be a great idea?

+1

I'm provoked that they present this as an idea sprung out from yours, as they clearly didnt get the point.

Haven't read all this, but after making a lengthy post on the last topic and the topic getting removed minutes after I can't be bothered going to effort, but...

I really don't think removing the opt-in option is a good idea, if you are at lower level this is literally hundreds of people who can be constantly attacking them, you can say they can buy protection, but if you are a poor player who just makes enough on a hunt to buy potions for the next one, they can't afford to do that, and this is the sort of stuff that drives players from the game

And I don't understand the 25 level thing, if they are in your level band, you should be able to hit the whole level band.

You dont need buffs when you are a low level you barely need armour, i struggle to level with the best armour and the level 175 potions. They also have 25 levels/PVP Protection to get used to the game, then when they seem comfortable they attack someone. Also, most newbies either quit or join a guild which kits them out with armor and buffs.

And I don't understand the 25 level thing, if they are in your level band, you should be able to hit the whole level band.So if you are level 50 you have to compete with level 99's with Nolands, Bothilds, Choker & Mino's Maybe Javelin, Ogalith, Iwoas, Kardic with Mighty Vigor :| Seems a bit unfair. KEEP 10 +/-

I voted "NO". Sure this would get pvp and the bounty board jumping, for a little while at least. But is it going to be good for the game as a whole? I dont think so. Is it going to get more players interested in pvp? maybe for a short period. Will it help bring more players into the game and help retain the ones we have? I doubt it. What I see happening is the "pvpers" will be hitting everyone in their range as hard as they can, and as often as they can. The easy targets are going to get pummeled hardest, and they're likely the ones that have little interest in pvp. The well established, well geared players with lots of fsp and exp to throw around are going to dominate. Kind of like they do now in some bands. But at least it will make them all have to put in an effort for their rewards. This update as it laid out right now would do nothing much more than harm to the community.

No, he's asking for feedback on us liking the idea or not. I voted, and gave feedback on why my vote went the way it did. If he wants to hear more from me he know how to get ahold of me.
