A more active HCS on the forum would create a more active playerbase.

This should eventually result in a more real view on who pvps, and comes with new pvp token gear as well... but so far, nothing.
New ideas on GvG were promised as well .. still nothing.
Arena fixes were promised, nothing.
There was a long n productive talk about crystalline gear and UB, with a strong suggestion on a change of sorts, still nothing.
They have started to look into how silly the bonuses on elite n champ sets are, but they're far from home on that one as well.
They have started to add new loyalty pots, but the long n productive talks on what to add, have been ignored or forgotten (they were not in the thread mentioned by Hoof though.. thread seems to have vanished).
They have looked into the xp distribution at EOC, and thank 'em for that.
Excuse for all the above not happening? "We're working on the new world map thing" ... which I still have a real hard time seeing what has to do with any of it!
Sorry for being harsh, but it is simply not good enough for the moo moos to rarely show up on forums to discuss things, and when they finally do - they apparently have no system to enhance their memories (tried taking notes and bring to the meetings?) - so stuff usually results in.. nothing, and eventually the players stop complaining and/or commenting - which seems to please the moo moos just fine, despite the dropping player base.
No one can deny that we changed this game and influenced it in such a way that NO ONE could compete with us.. so much so that they changed the rules. ~Abhorrence, chosen founder of Cerulean Sins

...like the PvP Revision v7...
is this the suggested revision that came with a poll where the winning vote, 44% of players, voted neutral?
representitive, perhaps, of a new disorder which i've named
"Update Fatigue Syndrome"
caused by the constant changes - under the guise of "improving the game"
some updates make everyone happy, but have you noticed how in most updates - one minority says "great job, cows" while another minority says "bad update, you've just killed the game, cows" - sometimes resulting in more updates to the updates
meanwhile, there is the 44% that roll their eyes, sigh and say "oh, whatever"
i believe those most vocal in the forum are the ones most likely to roll with the changes - it's the quiet 44% most affected by UFS
Ask your doctor about the new drug Cow-agra to help treat Update Fatigue Syndrome (though i suspect they're just restless leg syndrome pills with a C on it)
an example of someone suffering from UFS:

I think it's general frustration combined with a sense of 'HCS has promised a lot, let's wait and see if they do it'. I know I'm only posting on certain topics as other stuff gets buried or ignored.
A more active HCS on the forum would create a more active playerbase.
BINGO. I am still waiting on the GvG fix, since it has killed that area of the game for many. Also, they need new medals or should be coming up with some. Also, why not medals beyond crystal?
In addition, the Opt-In system should be removed. It would give life to the BB and would force people to buy PvP protection if they didn't want to be apart of it. No reason to auto protect everyone from PvP.
In essence, most players are busy playing the game OR they have given up on HCS fixing the game. Most fixes are WEAK at best and don't address the larger issues. Plus, they don't look for a consensus anymore.

We're also going to be releasing an update on the alpha server within the next week or so to test out the latest version of the new map system.
With Zorg now helping on the development side, we're hoping to get the other parts of the game that need improvement completed much faster

We'll be posting the new revision thread of the PvP changes soon.

I hope Zorg has undergone the basic training I suggested in the welcome thread
Still, will be great iif he can work on the bug fixes and smaller updates whilst the big things are being worked on in a separate stream. A lot of time has been spent waiting for the hopefully great map system to be finished, but to the detriment of the little things in life.

Update fatigue Syndrome has got the rules of the game constantly changing, heck it is hard just to keep up with them. Which, has also led to many players retiring. It would be nice to see the actual changes take place that were promised.
I mean, how long does it take to implement these changes...? I know HTML and it shouldn't take 8 months for any of these suggested updates. I think maybe somebody is playing too many video games in the break room or drinking too many ales at the pub next door.
..but then again, maybe too much time is being focused on the new game. Which by the way does look pretty cool (also behind schedule).

im pretty sure that the new game is part of the problem, but its just a part of the whole. im guessing that its just the fact that they have TOO MANY ongoing tasks. if the cows wouldnt try to load themselves down with fixes and updates and this and that, and players would let the cows work on ONE improvement at a time then it might not be so bad. i think the cows are just trying too hard, though im sure the players would disagree LOL.

Actions speak louder then words!...'HCS has promised a lot...
A more active HCS on the forum would create a more active playerbase.

But words are louder than inaction
Honestly, I know what you mean - but engaging with players is essentially free goodwill and could lead to lots of productive discussion!

Players can only get their opinions picked apart and belittled so many times before they say "screw it, i dont need this crap". It's no wonder the active participation on this forum keeps going down.
We've never belittled anyone's ideas and if we have picked an idea apart, it is only to work out the good and not so good parts of it.

No they haven't. Ignoring posts, even ones that pick up pages upon pages of replies. There used to be a different tone to the forum. Devs would make a stand. Now it is oblivious what they want to do.I wasn't referring to you guys. We don't ignore posts either. We do our best to reply, but sometimes we do miss threads - was there any thread in particular you feel we've missed and needs looked at?

1) Guild RP packs, they are out dated and need a complete overhaul
2) Mercenaries - remove any below level 500 and just double or even triple the cost of searching for them. If people want lower level mercs, just hire 1 lvl 500 merc instead of 3 useless lvl 25 - 500 mercs.
In response to this thread -
I think the forums might be quiet because too many people start arguments over stupid things and don't just put their thoughts forward. Too much flaming goes on so players stay away.

You and the others used to put your foot down and say this is the way it will be. Maybe we'd get an explanation, which is always nice. As players we moved on. Now there is discussion, multiple threads, and even a in-game poll sometimes. Then you disappear from the topic. I'm not only speaking of Sealed. GvG, the Ladder I know are "being worked on" but any real change takes what seems like forever and when they do get a "fix" more problems arise within months. It appears maintenance requirements are different for certain aspects of the game. Some aspects, like Arena, don't get it often enough. I don't play Arena because of it and the other aspects are the same. Please, can you allocate resources more evenly to keep the whole game running?
