Hi all,

We are making great progress with the re-design of the outer interface and we're hoping to update the game with it next week.

Once the interface is updated we'll be focusing on a lot of smaller (but important) game updates that players have been requesting on the forum (including improvements to PvP and the Arena - we'll be posting up the next PvP revision thread soon.).

After that, we're planning to release the new map so you can enable it in your preferences, then we're going to focus on improving other aspects of the game, such as Guild Conflicts.

It makes the game look a lot fresher and also should improve the page rendering speed in your browser :)

Definitely looking forward to some improvements to the arena - it's the same 16-20 people in just about every event. Some moves are pretty much obsolete and could be removed (ie, block). Some of the arena items have a very poor spawning (?) rate (for example, fire stone of bothild) and it would be nice to see greater numbers of events with those prize items. Even though there is still strategy involved with the current moves, it would nice to see something that would bring back some life to the arena and get more people involved so we don't have wait up to 3 days to get one event completed. Thanks for looking into this much-needed change cows =)

The GvG changes and improvements should come first above the PvP changes. The GvG system has been busted for over a year, PvP has not. It keeps getting fixed. I am tired of GvG getting ignored.

That would only cause hunts to become boring & tedious. I mean, what kind of challenge would it pose for the new players who would just sit there and mass kill all this creatures & gain levels like crazy? It'd make things uneven & awkward. At least that's my opinion. Another thing to think of would be the people with a high level Animal Mag potion just sitting in place, mass killing for easy levels. It poses no challenge. It would end up ruining a few profitable jobs around FS as well, such as farming. They could just get quick resources & anyone could do it in a mere hour. Sorry for the ramble. :P
I mean, I wish it was easier. But, they did add the keystrokes for that exact reason.

One problem with GvG's is the number of guilds that have gone inactive and are sitting on untouchable rating. This shouldn't be so. There are some in the top 10 that nobody can initiate against.

Some possible suggestions...

1. Make GvG rating reset similar to PvP ladder, therefore forcing GvG guilds to start all over freeing up this rating.

2. If a guild and all its members go inactive, implement a system that will degrade their rating. In essence eventually dropping these guilds to the bottom of the ladder.

3. Implement a system to where all guild must stay active in GvG to maintain rating. If no GvG activity then rating should degrade; as similar to suggestion #2.

This is one area that needs fixed. Also, how about the suggestion back in March I think, about new items/components that can be bought with RP for the top 10 rated guilds?

No the current system is fine. Pvp system is bad so why would HCS make gvg the same.

A decay system is however needed.

No if one person wants to gvg thats his/hers responsability. Doing this would force a guild into Gvg

New Items are needed

Gvg system is more or less fine. Just the price has killed of everyone. Decay system is needed if a guild isnt currently creating conflicts.

I have more or less quit the game and i know many others who have quit i played this game for arena and friends but the arena is a total joke at the moment the decay system was put in place to take out def and armor packers now all u need to do is pack ur moves with poison and fire blast when u pack any of those 2 and u get the win most of the time those moves are a joke and a severe lack of judgement on hcs part and the same items and components have been in the arena for such a long time its about time new items and components were introduced for new sets etc get some excitement back into it and then dont just leave it for another year or so to go stale again.

GVG i dont do anymore waste of time now to be honest it needs some fresh things to spend rp on also.

the caves should have some new SE introduced to them also

Great News!

Would the image pack be needing an update?

and, if i can ask, just yes or no, regardless of how i have installed/botched installing the image pack, if i do it right this time in firefox, will it override/ignoremypreviousstuffups and work or not?

Thanks!

A decay system in GvG is a good idea, but only for inactive guilds. Also, you should gain 1 rating, at least, For any and every conflict. Take my guild, KOTFW for an example. It has been so long since we gained any rating at all yet at any point in time any guild could take a lot of rating from us. It almost feels like we are being punished for being number one.

Also, it cost to dang much to start conflicts for us. Again, feel likes a punishment. I understand why you have made the cost how it is, but we can not efficiently start conflicts. It cost 500k gold and one FSP, no matter who the guild is for us. We are stuck in defense mode. If a decay system was put in place, we would suffer.

I still wonder what happened to that "Completely new GvG system!!" we heard about once and never again.

+1
I went to bed last night, and when i woke up and read this thread, i thought wu-hoo, i have finally mastered time travel and landed back in February, when we were told that GvG changes were imminent, those that have rendered any guild near the top of the tree helpless to do anything but lose points and be unable to initiate back against those who roll the dice and hope to get a lucky random win.....

We're planning to update the alpha server next week with the new interface. This will let everyone test it out and report any issues with it etc.

After we're happy that it is bug free, we'll then release it on the live game servers.

Note we are also planning to release an update for the new map system on the alpha next week as well :)
