I have a brother playing this game and never once had he read the description of Creatures, I don't know about you but that makes me feel sad :( there are 1.2k + creatures in fallensword but we rarely get to see the time and effort artist has put onto them.

here is my suggestion: give random creatures a spot light on the front page/home page. I know its going to be difficult seeing both is already crowded with "useful" information(haha I kid).

any thoughts?

Clan Skuggi Warrior!!! YAY!! :mrgreen:

The Clan Skuggii are savage mercenaries from the cold lands of Scree who hire themselves out to the highest bidder. They are currently under the employ of the evil Magus Zozortor and protect the coast around his bastion.

now just update it daily and maybe have it moved to off topic of the creatures area.

It could be done on the world screen also.

Right now with quick kill you never even see the picture or description other than the first time you check the creatures stats. I personally always take a look at the artwork, although I must admit I never read the description.

I would not mind if the picture and description of a random creature on the current map showed up on the world screen.

Frost Quagga
Posted Image
Description
The Frost Quagga are ancient magical horses that live upon the glacier and are bound to cold areas as guardians. These beasts have long been associated with the Sagas of the area and it is said that Great Freeze, the father of all Frost Quaggas held a position upon the mystical horse Sleipners court in the time of legends.

On topic - this would be a great idea, though probably on the world map somehow like tangtop mentioned. I try and look at the description and art for the creatures, but 90% of the time I forget :(

How about when you hover over the eye a pop up menu shows up of all creature info. So its quicker.

Got milk? :mrgreen:

Atrum Zombie Milkmaid

The Atrum Zombie Milkmaids are unsual for a zombie as they are, for some reason, compelled to keep milking their charges! The reasons for this are unknown though the zombies here abouts certainly seem to be moving with purpose! One thing is sure. That's not normal milk in their buckets!

Skar Orc Maniac

"The Skar Orc Maniacs are an opponent to be feared for their relentless attacks with their flails. It is said that these unhinged Orcs take herbs before combat that drive them into a frenzy and make them immune to pain but many just think they are naturally nuts."

He's on the herb 8)

This is my all time favourite. Whoever designed this one was having a good day. So-called because of it's amazing length, i present you with.....

Fucanglong Dragon

Description

Fucanglong Dragons live deep in the hard to access caverns of Hirosue. They are greedy and hoard great amounts of Gold that they protect with their lives. A Fucanglong is so obsessed with its hoard of treasure that even if beaten in combat it will attempt to destroy it in its death throes with magical fire so that if it can't have it no one will. Much to the disappointment of someone who attempts to slay such a beast.

Honestly, this is not the issue. Hunting should require skill. The way it is now, all you need to do is have very high damage (so easy with Smashing Hammer now) and some attack and a DC225 pot.

The way I wish hunting was:

Creatures stats are not always distributed with 80% in armor and HP.

Picture hunting when you need to change gear for every new creature. Sometimes needing a lot of attack to make ur hit, or a lot of defense to kill it in 10 hits etc... make hunting as challenging as PVP and make the creatures give more XP and DO MAKE HIGHER LEVEL DOUBLERS so hunting does not take forever.

Try fighting a laser cannon with a sword. :shock:
I guess such a creature would have a 100% First Strike in FS. :wink:

Pirate Bomber

Posted Image

Pirate Bombers are mad individuals that are experts in explosives. At sea they often man the cannons but on land they use specialy designed bombs and ceramic grenades as weapons.

~~~~~~~~~``
how can you not love a creature with 95-100% first strike? :shock:
lol, I remember this guy, of all the creatures we were faced with he was the only one I subleveled intentionally. Stupid first strike.
If I remember correctly, he has no armor or defense? just sits there throwing grenades while you walk up to him with a sword :)
