No High Def is not hard to get round really...

But my point was that having to use the Rune from the quest to kill it, which isn't part of a set would make such buffs like Co-Ord attack no use and would make it hard if not impossible to then get 33k attack to be able to solo it.

I would love to see Davos 33k attack set that he solo'd it with???

First thing that comes to mind is:
Chul set, Fat Man set, Celestial set, Shuito weapon (with EW1500) (or any random weapon with loads of attack) and some high attack amulet (I don't know the stats on the rune yet, so I just assume it's without any attack).
Solo the creature with SSI, CA175, a Distilled KE200 pot and a Distilled DC225 pot.

I'm not entirely sure and don't have the time right now to do all the math, but I think it should get you there. :wink:

Try it and see what you get ;)

11,376 attack from just the items. They were mostly unforged and random crafted (except the Celestial set which is perf/exc and FF). For the Amulet I used the Amulet of Tolake (1700 attack and 660 defense), simply because I found it in my BP and it has a lot of attack (though the defense will be pretty useless with this setup).
I didn't include any relic bonuses.

An EW1500 pot would increase the attack of the Shuito Axe (poor craft and no forge: 1,818 attack) with 2,727 to a total of 14,103.
Distilled KE200 pot would raise the attack by 63%, so that would become 22,988 attack.
CA175 will raise the attack by another 43.75%, which means an attack of 33,046.
The Distilled DC225 pot would decrease the Elite's defense (60,548) by 47.4% to 31,849.

He's definitely hitable.


Though my damage (from items and level up points) is only 8,548.

So Bers350, Fury175/350, DD and SH would perhaps be fun to have.
A level 1130 could have 2200+ points in damage (around what I have), so Fury175 + Bers350 would raise the damage by 1925 points to 10,473 damage.
Add the EW1500 (409 * 150% = 614) and SH175 bonus (8,548 * 26.25% = 2244) and we have a total of 13,331.
DD and CA175 will add another 63.75% and it will come to a total of 21,830.

A 5-hit kill if nothing special will happen.

celestial, raven set( 850 one) the jack set ( 1000) and the sanguidere set.

bone set ( ring weapon) barbnasis set (boots gloves) the agiads set or chul set, and then the sanguidere set... just some examples... but attack is hella easy to get in the high levels. and that critter has low armor if i beleive? so just hp?Easy smashing, especially with counter attack. Heck i can break 35000 attack without potions. and thats with 1000 and lower gear ;) ( yes i have 1000 into level up for attack..so remove a small amount due to that.)..still..attack is easy to get

No potions, 10% relics. 1000 gear and lower. it gets crazy at 1100 and 1200 lol

The Sanguire set has a rune and the quests demands you'll wear a certain rune. So we can't use Sanguire. :?
It would definitely be in my setup if we could use runes though. :wink:

Maybe Jack, Celestial, Wicked Raven and Fat Man is a nice setup. :mrgreen:

ahh forgot the rune thingy dee doo! :P

and yes..the one you listed would work and still have decent damage

Agreed, but no one in my guild on for a group, I couldn't find solid mercs, and don't have the two recent story book quest sets on hand to set up attack/damage/imp deal, so i just killed a couple hundred stam in unresolved combats before I got a DW.

As long as it costs a ton of stam to do like it did me, the loophole could be open, but this is the problem with low attack / high defense creatures (except SE's where DW doesn't work).

Maybe Elites at least should be added to the no-DW list.

I hated the droprate on this .. not only is the map huge and made in a very annoying way, and only 1 elite present at a time - but with a low droprate as this, it's just annoying the *bleep* outta me... ridiculous really.

It has to be very annoying to have farmers running on the map, while trying to get a kill for the quest alone?

And why the *bleepbleepitybleepbleep* doesn't it like to drop the armor? 2 ppl burning around 10K stam combined, both with FI1050 and over hundred kills.. not a single armor dropped >.< I, am not amused ... although it did take away my Sunday morning, so.. not time wasted at least lol

From the guide (+AH listings):
18 weapons in game
15 shields in game
7 armors in game

you could do what everyone is doing with the new SE. just use mesmerize and a DC pot. 17.5% chance to activate at 175.
