Hi all,

Many thanks to all players who gave feedback on the previous revision. Please take a look at the suggestions below and let us know what you like/dislike. If you don't like something, please let us know why.

Additions/changes from the previous revision are colored blue.

[*:19dqn3n2]PvP Rating starts at 0 when the PvP Ladder resets.

[*:19dqn3n2]Remove the need for the PvP Ladder opt-in/out by reducing the xp loss by 75% when a player has 0 PvP Rating or less. (This does not apply to bounty attacks.)

[*:19dqn3n2]PvP Rating can only be gained once per ladder reset from a player who has a PvP Rating of 0 or less. (This prevents players not wanting to participate from being hit hourly for PvP Rating).

[*:19dqn3n2]You can only gain PvP Rating from a maximum of 5 players with 0 PvP Rating or less after each ladder reset. You cannot gain PvP Rating from players with a PvP Rating of -5. (This means that after a player with 0 PvP Rating has been defeated 5 times, it will no longer be possible to gain any PvP Rating from them unless they increase their PvP Rating.)

[*:19dqn3n2]If you are defeated in combat while attacking, you will lose 50% of the equivalent PvP Rating you would have gained if you won the combat. Note that your PvP Rating can never be reduced below -5. Note also you can only gain PvP Rating when initiating combat.

[*:19dqn3n2]If you are defeated in combat while defending, you lose 1 PvP Rating (You cannot drop below -5 PvP Rating).

[*:19dqn3n2]Reduce the cost of the Protect XP upgrade (XP Lock). If you initiate any PvP attack, XP Lock will not work in PvP until the next ladder reset.

[*:19dqn3n2]Remove the PvP Protection upgrades. (With the exception of it being automatically applied to new players. We feel with the 75% reduction to xp loss for 0 PvP Rating and also the reduction in cost for the Protect XP upgrade these upgrades are no longer required.)

[*:19dqn3n2]PvP Rating can only be gained from a player who has been active in the last 48 hours. This excludes players in the top 10 of

[*:19dqn3n2]Players can only attack other players within +/-10 of their virtual level. Players can always attack the top 10 players in their band regardless of if the target is active or within +/-10 of their virtual level.

[*:19dqn3n2]PvP Rating is gained with the following formula outwith the bounty board:
PvP Rating Gain = floor(Stamina Used * 0.5) + (floor(Stamina Used * 0.5) * (MAX(0, Opponent PvP Rating) / MIN(1, Your PvP Rating))
The PvP Rating Gain is then capped by the amount of stamina used.

[*:19dqn3n2]PvP Rating is gained with the following formula when completing bounties:
PvP Rating Gain = floor(Stamina Used * 0.1) * (Opponent Level / Your Level) + (10 * (Wins / (Wins + Loses)))

[*:19dqn3n2]Change the Gloat/Honor skill to take/protect more gold.

[*:19dqn3n2]Addition of new bound potions and bound items for PvP rewards.

[*:19dqn3n2]Change Bounty Tickets so they are purchased with gold instead of Fallen Sword Points. (If this change goes ahead, your current Bounty Tickets will be converted back into Fallen Sword Points).
An in-game poll will be available shortly for this latest revision :)

Very much like most of this!

However, I am still not liking the constant 75% reduction in EXP loss than what it currentlt is.
If it was just after the first hit on the player then it goes back to normal. (or even after they reach -5) then yeah, it is pretty sound! But until them, I unfortunatly do not want this in the game!

Can we have the option to buy different amounts of bounty tickets. E.g
10 Bounty tickets
100 Bounty tickets
500 Bounty tickets

Why does the BB need to be connected to the PVP ladder. I'm disgusted with the idea that I can do an ally a favor and clear him/her from the bb and end up being attacked for ratings for the duration of the ladder.

You need to keep the opt-in. Even with a reduced exp loss it's going to piss off a lot of players and disrupt the community. Dont you remember why the opt-in was introduced to begin with? It's going to go right back to that. The pvp ladder is a mini-game, dont drag the whole game into it. Let the ladder players beat up on each other all they want, there no need for them to be beating up on levelers or other players that dont want to play.

I will continue to disagree with this as long as it removes the option to opt out of the ladder. Let the PvPers keep fighting each other. It proves nothing of skill for them to beat offline players who don't PvP.

NO!

PvP protection is only thing that helps keeping hunted gold safe. With FSH find target feature players who hunt are easy targets. If PvP protection is removed, all levelers will dump their gold as soon as possible, thus MP will skyrocket.

There is nothing wrong on PvP protection. If you need, rise the price of PvP protection (and gold cap), but please do NOT remove it.

I still wish there was a way to gain rating from a successful defense. But I understand that the creature murderers (aka, levelers) who are a "bit" anti-PvP don't want that. Nuts... maybe if we're on the Ladder we could implement that? Just a thought.

Like the whole thing...

TO THE ANTI-PVPERS: please focus on the fact that your XP loss is getting reduced by 75%!!!! What more could a whiner ask for? ,oP Try Strongly Agree or Agree to save your precious XP (o0

Seems contradictory to me? Unless the exchange is not 'even' ie you can only lose 1 rating but but the attacker gains whatever the above formulae spit out?

Can you clarify?

And bound items? Unbound is much better.....

No bound items! That is just pointless. We are trying to make more people get involved. If the things are bound they will play until they get one then never do it again. It is just pointless. You guys are still not listening. Do not remove the opt in/out. Most everyone is saying this. Still strongly disagree and as every new Rev. is basically the same, I will keep disagreeing. PvP needs to be ignored for awhile anyway. Fix GvG!

Agreed opt in must stay nothing seems to have changed here, pvp ladder is a mini game just like titans and the arena, something no one should be forced to participate in!!!!

Still a big fat NO from me...there are many reasons to keep pvp protection, besides losing XP. Those of us that are merchants and potion sellers are willing to pay a LOT for the freedom of keeping our profits safe. You could make it zero XP lost and I would STILL VOTE NO :!:
