What about if players with a PvP Rating greater than 0 also took XP/Gold loss when attacked for PvP Rating? (As XP was taken, they could then place a bounty on the attacker).




IF rating is above 0, then xp loss will happen, and be bountyable..sure.

If rating is 0 then its either hit for rating or hit for gold and xp, both of which should still be bountyable tho.


We want players to pvp more. PvP is all about risk. Players see the rewards and want them... they should risk something. if they go around slapping everyone in range..they should risk being bountied by all of em..or none of em. They made the choice to attack..they should deal with the consequences of their actions.. be it a hit back,.. a delevel.. a normal bounty..or nothing at all. RISK.



And instead of typing another response. @ hoof Fine, remove rating from the BB.BUT make EVERY attack bountyable.


We could make PvP Rating hits bounty-able as well, but it would be a bounty for XP/Gold, not PvP Rating. Thoughts?




YES ;). every hit bountyable. leave rating OFF the bb. I like it.

I really struggle finding out if your sarcastic or not.

To summarise what I'm currently thinking:

- When attacking a player, you choose between attacking for XP/Gold or PvP Rating.

- Only allow bounties on attacks for XP/Gold. All bounty attacks would be for XP/Gold.

- Keep the PvP Protection upgrade (this will prevent attacks for Gold/XP)

- There would be no need for an opt-in/out as PvP Ladder attacks would not take XP/Gold.

- Make PvP Ladder rewards unbound.

I understand that you're eager to make a solution that works for everyone when it comes to PvP. But every revision seem to cater more for the non-participants on the cost of the PvP perspective, and the initial thought for these suggestions was to improve and revive PvP I think. The idea above will not fix anything for PvP, it will probably make it worse. I would rather you just leave it as it is.

What's happening here is a separation of ladder play for tokens from old-school PvP. Old-school will still carry all the risk that it ever has.

Thats what we have now. Its pointless to change only the wrapping on the package. Plus make it even more risk free. The opposite of what was asked for.

Yeah make PvP rating hits bounty-able too, keep rating off the board and have the bounties function as they normally do, I like :)

This is good as it would discourage non ladder players from hitting for a guild mate

Please take a stand on this. Somewhere. Anywhere.

I can't speak for the majority as an individual, but 9 revision threads and over 250 pages of posts from EVERY side of the game should be enough to get this sorted, now.

The latest round of ideas (pages 20 and 21) seem reasonably well received. Take a stab in the dark, roll the dice, and let the fallout from the community inform any more revisions. NINE threads before a single change has even been tried is bordering on lunacy.

So, to be clear - please get a new PvP system implemented tomorrow, stop the endless bickering between sides on these threads which have slowed progress to a crawl, and get back to fixing the rest of the game. I don't mind PvP having had lots of attention - it needed it - but patience in this particular room is wearing a bit thin.

I can only hope that the same level of dedication will be shown to the GvG and Arena overhauls that have been long promised.

I say this all as a vaguely disinterested party who is simply tired of reading and re-reading the same old arguments.

a drop in PvP protection cost maybe? You were going to drop price in XP lock.

Agree with most but make PvP Rating attacks take 75% less xp
(as they will be bounty-able with 5 level loss risk)

Definately those who participate and actively hit should lose their XP and gold!

Blacky if someone drops you for a rating hit.. drop their hitters 5 each ;) problem solved.


Someone drops you over a gold hit... tough cookies! :P ( we both know how it works)

the reason for the drop in price has been removed. there is no longer a need for this

All ladder hits should take xp/gold Hoof or we will see a flood of "levelers" farming again for the rewards.I would make the ladder 100 stam hits only..
