REVISION 3 (LOL):

OK, so playing off of luisspamer's ingeniously simple idea, how about the following?:


- Dominance medals are awarded for total victorious hits measured in "Dominance Reward Points" (DRPs)


- Only hitting players within +/- 10% of your Virtual Level earn DRPs (on or off the BB).


- 10 stamina is 1 DRP 20 stamina is 2 DRPs, 100 stamina is 10 DRPs.


- Cleared bounties are 5 DRPs, regardless of stamina used.



That's IT! :D

In this version, I've widened the range at higher levels (where there are the least targets) and lessened the range for lower levels (where there are the most targets). If you are level 1200, you can hit as low as 1080 and as high as 1320. If you are level 50, you can hit 45-55.

Just a suggestion,

but why until a solution is found, we dont go back to the pre-ladder situation?

I mean going back to the era...
when PvPers were PvPing,
when non-PvPers were hiding gold,
when Bounty Board was active,
when players used to hit for gold instead that for meaningless rating,
when we didnt have 10 revisions with 25 pages each in forum,
when forum was a place to write and read and not a place for arguing,
when PvPers were happy,
when non-PvPers were happy,
when players were more interested in having fun than in making profit,
when, without all this forum fights, FS was a better place to stay,
and when FS community was the best possible community?

Try for a month and see what happens, im sure it would be a great improvement to the game.
(if it can help i could even write it in iambic pentameters, maybe a sonnet is more effective)

Though I didn't saw to much of pre-ladder it was probably is better than this....anything is better than this...
But there was a reason why HCS changed that...sadly they've also added rewards...
And this happened..haha...

But hey,maybe complicating everything even more will fix things...
And yes-add more rewards-new inventable epics for example...that would be great for the game...

Ok I think bound potions are a great idea. But im kinda stuck with bound or unbound items.

Bound items = New items slightly better then normal gear. This means that there can be no farmers and that levelers can pvp for their own armour.

Unbound = Items remain as normal. This means farmers and merchant the gear as normal. Levelers dont pvp.

I think i prefer bound items but that my opinion. Whats yours??

I seem to see the same people posting over and over on these threads, why not just post your opinion/ideas and leave, rather than just trying to make out your opinion/ideas are more important than anyone else????

The Cows are trying to determine what's best for the FS community as a whole, not just best for those that shout loudest, or post more replies than anyone else!!!

i was not interested in PvP until i saw the suggestions hoof made.
the only thing i don't understand is this:

You can place a bounty for both an XP/Gold and PvP Rating attack, however only XP/Gold can be taken during a bounty (no PvP Rating gain).

why should i have to lose xp/gold in case i attack that player only for PvP rating and the only thing he will lose is 1 PvP rating ?
is this some kind of punishment ?
it is ok if i hit him/she for xp/gold.
i take the risk to be hitted for the same.
but as long as i think that there is the chance to lose 5 lvls because of that , i stay with 0 PvP ranking to protect my xp/gold.
i believe that this will make a lot of players like me to don't participate in the PvP ladder.
sorry if you allready answered this before but i don't have the time to read 25 pages to find it out.

Why should a player be able to attack someone risk free? That's GvG ;)


Theres little risk to pvp ladder hits..with revision 10 suggestion..unless your in the top ten. Then its gold, xp and rating.I seriously doubt any rating hits or top 10 hits will be bountied...altho some players dont like being 100 stammed in the top 10's of ladders.

The Cows are trying to determine what's best for the FS community as a whole, not just best for those that shout loudest, or post more replies than anyone else!!!



I think the reason behind that is others may bring something up that brings up other ideas they may of not thought of before. more ideas that are tossed around and talked about like/ dislike would be working towards something as a whole all together which could result in less the cows have to deal with.

the part that might be bit hard to trying to have atleast one other then the cows keep track of things sorta like what CommieDevo has been doing so far.

Why not just have one of those conference calls again and have the players they want to listen to voice their opinions on there like last time? It worked so well then, so why not do it again?

that could work too, but not exactly sure but some might not be able to take part in it or are unable to for one reason or another. so being this way is open to all and is laid out in open.

love it! :D i would put the work to get that. but maybe higher like 100K attack. 10k comes too easy.

please do away with the ladder it does make a mockery of what pvp really is and the people championing the ladder are only doing it for selfish profit making reasons. Pvp in my eyes was never about profit and no real pvper does it for profit, FACT!

How about a simple in game poll "Do you want to leave PvP as it is?" Simple 'yes' or 'no'. If Yes wins then stop trying to please the handful of active forum 'real' pvpers and forget about any changes????


Wow ... this totally got overlooked. I keep hearing how there are xx% that PvP and xx% who hunt .... wouldnt his show the difference to remove that issue COMPLETELY?

100 stam hits should be 15 or 20 DRP? since they are indeed the more risky?

If theres no limit on bounties/ level difference...high levels will still farm low levels on the board ;) no skill in clearing those lower then you

And i seriously doubt hcs will get rid of rewards... rewards are worth more then titan drops now ( some of them) new ones will be even more. Thats $$$ to the cows. remember that.


Great. I assume that we keep opt-out. Otherwise i will see PvP ers targetting offline levellers who are wearing their stamina gear.

So, you've no issue hitting for gold / profit, and risking losing 5 levels, Yet hitting for rating ( once again for profit) and risking a bounty is Not fair? O.o


Hits would be 5 - 50 rating if you hit someone with 0 rating, But once you hit someone WITH rating, its xp loss, gold, and rating. If simple rating hits were made unbountyable, it would make an even more joke of the current system. Risk = Reward. ( tho i truly hate the rewards and what they have done to the system)
