Thereby FORCING my guild and allies to PVP, when they dont want to. Ya, great solution.




Then what would you suggest? If You dont want someone to defend you, or take levels on a player who wronged you, what do you propose?

Players can only attack other players within +/-10 of their virtual level. Players can always attack the top 10 players in their band regardless of if the target is active or within +/-10 of their virtual level.<---


This part has me curious, If i am top ten.. anyone can hit me..but i can only hit back if they are top ten? That makes no sense. It should be..To hit others in the top ten, you have to BE in the top ten.


Rating, xp gold loss..should always apply to top ten hits.


I was thinking the same thing, but not even sure if hoof is paying attention here anymore?




Me thinks this idea is going to go through, maybe if we're lucky..so will kits.. then hoof and the newbie coder ( waves at zorg) can go at fixing many many other things in game. 10 revisions is more then enough. No ones ever gonna agree 100%.


Fix the top ten..hitting only one another, and move on to a next fix.

I think this revision looks the most promising. I'm not saying there won't need to be improvements to other aspects of PvP, but I do like the separation of the PvP Ladder from 'normal' PvP.

Can you comment on the issue with hitting top ten players? Anyone can hit the top ten? How can top ten player hit back?



If you think this looks promising, and it seems more are for this then any other revision , implement it..and move on. ( mentions kits idea) gvg, arena, need ALOT of love, I dont play either ( ALOT of others do tho) but i hope they get as much attention as pvp has. Would be interesting to play other aspects of the game again, if they are actually FUN.

And pvp protection, Hoof? Will it protect against all attacks still? (provided gold held is within current limits of course)

I ask because of the buff stealing buffs - spell breaker and spell leech. These are the reason I buy pvp protection while I hunt - not a fear of losing gold or xp but because I do no want my one chance in up to 14 days to be ruined by someone that is just after my rating or my gold.

How about FIXING the bounty board, so the cowards cant have their free hits? Or is that too logical?

Ive no issue with disallowing free hits from the board, However...someone isnt a coward for repeatedly hitting a player, who wont do anything about it, other then post a bounty and forget about it. Want revenge? DO something. ;)

When I pvped, I asked permission before doing so, and quite a few people will recall me because of that. I have NEVER bullied anyone in FS. So, nope, not karma...just bullies. God forbid they should actually test their SKILL on a real pvp target, someone that actually enjoys fighting back and would be an actual challenge. How are free hits from the bounty board on a leveler, a challenge or test of skill?

There is no forcing anyone to do anything in this game. If you choose not to level, you miss out and have to deal with consequences. Same if you choose not to titan hunt, GvG, invent, scavenge, play the arena, the ladder or retaliate on PvP attacks. There are ways to avoid all of the above and still don't miss out too much on the gains, by spending FSP. Or you can choose to both not deal with it and miss out, by ignoring it, or complaining about it.

And almost every PvP-er got on BB at least once in order to test their skill against higher level players...Some even do it all the time...Why bullies?-if they can hit-they WILL hit...Nothing wrong with that.

I think if a player attacks someone in the top 10 of the PvP Band (and they are outwith the +/-10), then the player in the top 10 gets an opportunity to attack that player back equal to the amount of times they were attacked (no more, no less). Unless anyone has any better ideas? :)

Asking permission just means I didnt get bountied...they were buffed though!

Top ten hitting one another is xp loss, gold , rating gain.


If someone ( not in the top ten, as you suggest) hits a player in top ten, the defender loses xp, gold, and attacker gains rating.


If I ( top ten player) hit back someone not in the top ten, they lose nothing ( no xp or gold, since they arent in top ten), and i gain rating.




. Its better that..to be able to hit someone in the top ten, a player Must BE in the top ten.Seems more fair, i think. Rating, xp loss, gold goes both ways then.

I do see your point tho... eventually if top ten hit one another enough... when someone who inst in top ten just starts hitting for rating ,...even if they hit 5 x 0 rated players...wont be able to hit anyone in the top ten since they cant make the top ten. They have to hope..a top ten player is in +/- 10 level range
