A guild gets additional xp every time a player levels and/or relevels.

This is true, is it not?

player levels... guild gains xp

player relevels... guild gains xp.

Not sure what exactly your arguing?

Hitting a monster above your level yields more xp from that hit than a monster at or below you. Simple. If my VL is 10 levels under the monsters I'm hitting, then I'm getting a significant amount of additional gold/xp per hit. The leveling is faster and the extra xp and gold benefit the guild as well.

I don't really have a problem with the guild benefiting, I just think a person's xp per hit should be linked to that VL. If the player is at the 650 realm but their VL is 640, they should be getting the same xp and gold per hit as if they were back at 640 (which would be ideal for me, but if this is easier, then so be it).

Fix the exploit. Make VL more relevant and the bounty board more "painful". Losing levels really DOESN'T matter when the system allows you all the benefits to make the re-leveling as easy as possible.

Example: PvPer at level 499

If PvPer levels to 509 the PvPer gains more xp (thus Guild gains more xp) than if player delevels and to 489 and levels back to 499. Aryann's point.

But some PvPers find a "sweet level" where they can maximize GvG or gold, so these PvPers will not level above this "sweet level". These PvPers will accept deleveling and then level back up to the " sweet level" thus gaining xp for Guild. Maehdros's point.

Can someone actually tell me how much extra XP you gain from huntin' in a realm a couple of levels above your AL and how big of a problem it is for the game as a whole? What if you're stuck in a realm which requires some gear which you can't wear to 1-hit? Exploits is when people level off creatures hundreds of levels above their highest reachable realm.

My character have been 60-70 levels below VL at times and if I understand it correctly he'll only be able to hit others that have had that much fun? Do you know how long it would take to get back up to VL and get to PvP again? And if you're thinking about saying "level more often" 60-70 levels can disappear pretty fast depending on what you do and takes like 15-20 weeks or whatever to regain at my level.

And it's the same old cry, "bounty board is too soft" ... guess what, it's not up to the board to decide what should happen, it's up to you gamers to make something with your stam other than whack some static creatures. If you think the board is too soft just PM my character and I can help you experience BB in a whole new way.

But I guess this game is on it's last breath anyway so do whatever you like with it ...

What group?

PvP was a small and viral part of the game when I joined, it has slowly been killed off by HCS trying to add new ways of making sure that the game keeps generating income. Not sure what group you're dreaming up but for example, we tried to fix a broken dominance medal by spending time discussing ideas on how to make a system that would be as "fair" as possible ... giving more or less anyone a chance at it. Nothing close to what the cows managed to put out in an update ... was no rewards, just the same old "motivation" as before, gold, levels and fun. Rewards was introduced by HCS and the old system wasn't really fixed, actually it's probably worse than it was before they changed it. People now saw an opportunity to make pinkies, everyone was hit left and right, new commers were farmed by multis/low level accounts, I feel like it was at this point people started to complain about PvP and frankly I can't blame them ...

And this group ... levelers have been crying for XP reduction when getting hit. Cows did just that. Guess what? Now it required a lot MORE work to hit someone on the bounty board and pay back lost gold and XP. Now the same group that cried for XP reduction is crying for BB to get meaner, LOL.

Where did all the fun people go that used to play this game?

Seems to me a lot of player bandy a lot of nonsense around, again, seems just the mention of PvP throws out brains, just see the red flag and.... CHARGE

One suggestion, from Mae, simple fix, someone who is placed on BB can not hit the 'victim' again, until bounty is cleared. (was wrongly interpreted by someone).
Instead of bounties hanging around, to give the people posted the chance of 'free' 100stam hits on posters, it would be in the interest of the bountied party to get cleared quick. It would also then be in the interest of the 'victim' to post a bounty as fast as possible, which should make for more online bounties, again, should make for more lively BB.

As far as Guild xp goes, releveling does give XP to guild, but I didn't see anything anywhere relevant to people liking being deleveled just for that. It is just a game mechanic, as presumably it is difficult to calculate the guild xp lost when getting deleveled, besides, the actual releveling DOES get done. Nor did anyone say a guild gains MORE from a deleveled player, then from that player if he had not been deleveled and had gone on leveling up.

As for it being much easier to relevel in a higher realm, this bug was fixed years ago. Now goldgain is nerfed, and xp gained is based on what you would get from hitting creatures at your real level. Easiest place to relevel would be an undead realm, to compensate for having to use inferior gear at times, but in no way would you gain higher XP. Of course, using Sacrifice is more usefull, with the gold nerfed.

Mickeus understands. It would take "weeks". It would be a pain in the a$$.

Yep.

That's the point.

Again (4th time?), we can simply tie VL to xp earned per hit and you can stay in the realm your gear worked on, but hitting those monsters doesn't give the extra gold/xp that would normally come from having been deleveled (and don't compare "a couple" to 10, 20, or 60+ levels, that's a lot of levels). It WILL take longer to level. It will make taking those initial swings slightly more of a risk. Not a terrible one, just enough that it makes PvP more strategic.

Just to clarify something since level 500 or so for me when the cows changed how you get XP from creatures above your actual level.

YOU DO NOT GET MORE XP when you are deleveled if you stay in the same realm. while it may seem like you level a bit faster, this is because you get the same amount of Xp from the creatures as if you were that level. so being deleveled has NO advantage to getting more XP NONE.

Fine. But you SHOULD be getting xp from the VL. Not from the realm you happen to be standing in.

We just said that you DO get the XP as if you are hitting creatures from your real level, not the XP you get from the creatures in the realm you are running in. So if you are deleveld to lvl 100, and sitting in a 200 realm, you get the xp a lvl 100 would get from hitting creatures lvl 100
