A suggestion for the new tutorial:

I'm assuming it will be in an area exclusive to the tutorial so how about allowing unlimited stamina in just this area and repeatable quests (if that's how you do it). The stam and xp would not carry over to the game proper.

Completion of the tutorial could then award the starting stam (which should still be increased).

can we test it once it is ready? maybe in alpha? theres a chance some good suggestion may come


Good idea! Another use for the Alpha server and chance for experienced players to give input to the tutorial (and maybe some might learn something too :lol: )

I agree - once we have it ready we'll put it up on the alpha for everyone to take a look at and give feedback on what could be improved :)

Well, groovy! Thanks everyone for chiming in, especially to Lahona for taking the ball and running with it, and to Hoof for responding and letting us know a better tutorial is in development. Dummy running it on alpha and allowing feedback would be a great idea. Hopefully its release will be tied into a renewed promotional push for the game as a whole...... and not in the too far distant future? Marketing! Advertise!

We're making good progress with it :)

Update v2.0.003b included the new quest indicators which are going to be explained in the tutorial.

We're hoping to have the new tutorial on the alpha server within the next two weeks for everyone to try out and give feedback on :)

Hoof, is there any word on the possibility of changing anything about max stamina, allowing players to have reserve stamina as part of the tutorial, and allowing more BP spaces for when you create an account? Are these ideas even being considered? From the sounds of it, there are many players who believe that this would not only help the game as a whole, but help to retain new players. Could we possibly start a thread on discussions/problems that might be driving newer players away? One that is closely monitored so that it doesn't get derailed?

I don't even recall a tutorial back in 2009. You guys must have made that up recently. Glad there is an improved version on the way.

+1 here also.

I see a lot of Free 2 play games advertised on "Steam" these days and they have help other f2p games grow in numbers.
