This comes from combining two types of events that currently take place Guy Fawkes, and Elemental Titans. hope you enjoy tried to make a little story as a background.
Fallen Sworder's Pray to the God's everyday, but recently their faith has been dwindling they either don't appreciate the blessings they receive or just have lost faith that they will ever be blessed. The God's are not happy with the lack of faith and lack of appreciation amongst their followers. They feel something should be done to restore the faith, this type of behavior is not acceptable among mortals they need to be taught a lesson. Saharia has bestoyed many of Fortune, Osversin has passed on so much knowledge and wisdom, Gurgriss has partaken and tricked many guilds into war, and Lindarsil has blessed so many with her magic buffs, and for all of them to get this treatment is just not acceptable ANYMORE.
"Come with me My Fellow Gods and lets show these Mortals what A GOD is capable of" So Saharia, Osversin, Gurgriss, and Lindersil Decent to the mortal Realm of FallenSword to Start the Wrath of the GODS
So the concept behind the event is to have 4 Gods causing havoc among Fallen sword.
Since they are Gods They would have enormous HP and need the effort of Many to be satisfied or driven back up to the Godly realm.
Each God would have an HP of 50,000 and be on maps similar to how titans roam.
Saharia would be a level 50 God
Osversin would be a level 450 God
Gurgriss would be a Level 850 God
Lindarsil would be a Level 1250 God
Then there would be 1 long quest Linking all of the gods to be defeated in order, to gain access to the next God.
1st step Defeat Saharia 500 times to gain a Level 50 Helm of the Gods with +1 Stam and XP gain
2nd step defeat Osversin 1000 times to trade in your level 50 Helm for a Level 450 Helm with +2 Stam and xp Gain
3rd Step Defeat Gurgriss 2000 times to trade in your level 450 Helm for a Level 850 Helm with +3 Stam and XP gain
4th Step Defeat Lindarsil 3000 times to trade in your level 850 Helm for a Level 1250 Helm with +4 stam gain and XP gain.
The Helms would be unbound, but you have to have the required helm to finish the step and move on to the next God.
This would be an announced event to spawn them, I was thinking there could also be a time limit on how long they stay regardless of being fully defeated 2-4 days and then they ascend back to their realm to 1 day come back and restore the faith among the doubters. (maybe 2-4 times a year)

The only way to bypass the requirement for them to be bound would be to have individual quests for each of the gods. However this would invalidate your idea of a long quest chain.

As nice as the EP weapons are, they broke many sets and are overpowered in my opinion. They shouldn't do that again with helms.
P.S I bet Godless guild is going to have a field day on this one, : )
Perhaps the the number 1 killer of each god would have an advantage in the next temple blessing too. That would be interesting.
Overall, most people don't care about "the Temple" or the Gods for that matter. Only a small percentage of the player base has gotten anything from them. I like incorporating that people have lost faith in the Gods (aka temple) because its TRUE.

Btw, check out the wickerman and how many kills can be done in an hour, 50k wont last for more than 10 hours(for the first 2 gods).This inevitably lead to people clamoring about the fact that they weren't on for the event => more HP is released to appease the crowd. This would also mean that the 2nd or 3rd iteration will have a drop off in participation.
I would rather see something like...
A 2 weeks event in which new creatures are released every couple days but will have a lot harder stat than the previous ones(individual kills only) with the last having near Elite/SE type stats. Set a level limit for that creature or something ie lv 50 creature can only be killed by +/- lv 50 of it. The harder the creature the higher amount of points received(but there are less creature/spawn). No cheap kills( XP lock + DW) AND have some ability to nullify some buffs. No drops, No xp gained, No gold dropped. Only to "defend" the realm.
Oh and If a set number of total kills are not met, you get nothing, ie the god are still angry :twisted:
2 weeks/2-3 days per waves is plenty of time for participation. Give a chance for people to level up to get access to other gears that can help them kill harder creatures.
God allow the users to enter their personal storage(prize shop) or something at the end of the event to pick from their collection for a job well done. Prize shop can contain potions and OP materials because is 2+ weeks of stamina were used on this(not the 2k stam used for the EP items).

The top 'hunters' can get ~1000+ kills an hour. This drops when there is a crowded map. In order for this event to be viable to those who don't have 8-10 hours at a time to put into 'god' hunting, the 'gods' must remain out for at least 1 week with unlimited HP over that time. Preferably 2 weeks.
The 1-2 week continual 'alive' period allows the average player to have a chance to get out there. The experienced hunters will get out there and in the first 1-2 days get all the kills they need.
1-2 weeks also allows for those who don't have easy access to the lf 1250 potions. Getting a lot of kills on a 'god' seriously drains stamina. More so on a crowded map. Having 1-2 weeks allows those with less max stam to have a chance as well.
This kind of event can not take place until the old style map interface is fully removed. Only when there is a 'level' playing field in the beta map, can people feel they have a fair and reasonable chance of enjoying an event like this.
The idea has a good base to it, but the entire community needs to be considered. Not just a niche group of players who would currently dominate an event like this and likely profit handsomely. I understand the concept of the gods returning after x time. Even if a lot of people completed the quests the first time, there will still be people who missed out for whatever reason or people who have since leveled up. This draws value to the event returning every so often. (looks at the elemental titans, they still tick over as people level up.

also I thought about doing the event where the Gods had unlimited HP for 48 hours and I personally would prefer this to them having HP, I just tried to pick a number I thought may Be high enough to where people can see them diminishing but still let a lot of people participate. If not unlimited just raise the HP more to 100k or so?
or even make this on par with other quest based events and have it last 1 week with unlimited HP as it would take a lot of time regardless of competition to finish all the quests, I do appreciate the constructive feedback as I am just looking for ways to make the game a bit more fun.

Currently there's:
~22 people at level 1250 or higher @ 3000 kills per person.
~ 1000 people level 850 or higher @ 2000 kills per person.
~ 4750 people level 450 or higher @ 1000 kills per person..
So what then is a fair number? those numbers above will be increasing so that should also be taken into consideration. Also a low initial spawn period would create an outrage. 4750+ people potentially trying to get their kills in. only certain people will make it through that slaughterfest.

ok, make the 'god' creatures classed as 'god' and rarity would be slightly harder to find then a legendary, so actuall make a new rarity class
example:
Osverin
rarity: god
level: ???
[stats, description, ect]
as for the quests, they could be chained, but if you do, you should make them repeatable. the reward to each quest would still be a item however. i say item, because i have a idea
i saw a thing about making the level to attack to be within 50 levels of it, but that would make the entire quest chain unavailible to anyone over level 100 :/ so i suggest a no to that.
an idea that would be fun
Gold / Kill peaks at about Level 310 or so - and then drops again twice - once at 1601 (from average 300g / kill with no doubler/mer/th to 250g / kill) and then again at at 1626 (down another 50g / kill to an average of 200g / kill)

But i cannot be bothered to chase them around for scraps. It will be like the fawkes wickerman and nobody (expect titan hunters) will win.
Why not triple the amount of kills needed and make it a legendary event instead of a titan one.
As was said before, if the event would last something like two weeks, all the fast hunters would already have their kills in, so everyone else would have ample opportunity to get them.
If there is to be some kind of competition to get the kills in, having everyone switched to new map is imperative. The titan kill logs right now are just an irritation. Having extended the Wickerman so two guilds can have some more fsp is just an extra aggravation.

speaking of, why not make the tiatans only availible to a guild that has defeated it after the next one of its kind is defeated? open up the oggy and kracen from guilds mining the items off them. course it would be difficult for the elemental guardian, since ffs is the only guild that can really hunt it lol
