Rats! They need to put some highly desirable critters in the caves to get rid of some gold.

One thing for sure.. The Bounty Board is alive again. For a short while anyway.

Ok, I do not like the marketplace prices either but not because I cannot afford but because it must be really discouraging to new players. And the prices are not a total surprise. I was expecting prices to normally be over 200k/FSP by Christmas anyway. We are just getting there a little early. And at a bit higher. But now I am expecting the prices to be about 210-220k normally by years end.
Why? Simple we are getting used to higher prices. The prices stayed about 120k until something happened and we had a couple of days of !40-150k. Then they stayed 130-140 until we had a couple of days of 160-170k. Then they stayed around 150-160 until we started having days of 180-190k.
Now we are having weeks of 185-200k. No by New Years the prices will probably always be over 200k with peaks (from large PvP gold gains and necessity to get rid of fast and not caring how much what it does to the marketplace as long as they have way high bid) of 230-250k.
I just worry how the rapid increase affects the attitudes of the new players. I am lucky I have enough stamina I can afford to pay high prices and still make a profit leveling. I imagine it must be very discouraging for new players.
I will say I do like the prices though. I farm plants every other time. At these prices soon to ff an item level 1-50 will only be 11 FSP. 1 sold for the gold, and the 10 others.

Yes, add more LE gear to the game... Make the gear use recipes from other pieces like the last ones so that the player(s) who learn the recipe first can corner the market buying all available pieces. Yes, a perfect solution for about 5 mins. NOT!People like to go to the caves if there are Legandary creatures in it. Maybe its time to give an weekly/biweekly event with one random legandary in it in a rather expensive cave?

solution has been given to them a hundred times 1 have potions drop they get used up so they dont hang in the game unlike the zombie brew if there cave bound there wont be 18k of em in game..
or make new le gear from recipes but have it you need a set amount of old le gear no particular item just say 10 le drops to make a piece like the bride set.. just if they leave it to any type of le gear then the ah would empty of old gear.. its such a obivious answer its smacking em in the face
hell i throw away a couple 100 spine items and le gear recently couldnt give it away
when they pic a set group of items to make something like you rightly said someone comes along and cleans the ah out of that item or set if they made it any items that couldnt happen

Both could be dropped by new creatures who lurk in the caves whenever there is too much cash in hand. Even an non-bound EW1k and/or Wither350 would be great. Just have one event every two weeks, only tricky thing would be deciding the droprate.. Too low and nobody wants to scavange and too high people will hunt them enmasse and stockpile them.. But to be honest i expect those to be stockpiled anyway.

Okay.. Lets talk about potions, an Wither250 potion would be great. You can still buy the wither350 from the AH but if you don't really need such a high one an wither250 will do fine. Also for those who aren't that rich an EW500 would be nice too.

if u can gain a higher lvl potion within the game then no one would scavenge for them ,there has to be a market or no one bothers do you think if there was a ew1k in the caves ppl would bother ,no they would as it would be more cost effective just to buy the ingame one from the special section or the bazzarr

Sorry, my mistake, should have been CAVES instead of games. :-(
The fact that you can buy an bound EW1k doesn't mean people won't scavange for the non-bound EW1k. I see often enough people selling an FI800 while we also got FI-1k's It all depends on the droprate. At this moment FSP prices are increasing to such a level that new players won't be able to buy an FSP for their hunts... and to be honest without an gold sink which will take out some gold I don't see it changing untill the Xmast-offer is going to be paid out.

Monsters in the caves are good, but they crash the AH with their drops that become worthless/low in value over time. In the end that means us complaining over how worthless those items are, and how LE/Epic gear should have value.
Instead of just a handfull of ways to spend gold, there needs to be a whole range of stuff to put ur gold in. Just like fsp upgrades.
These sinks/upgrades/buyings should have an infinite character. The more u buy, the more expensive it gets, that way players will hoard up gold and use it for whatever HCS will add in such a setup.
Eventually that will drop fsp prices, but only if it is being setup widely with many options.
