gives a chance to win a random item.
theres 4 slots.
common [cost]=(LVL*1000gold)*1
rare [cost]=(LVL*3000gold)*1
SE [cost]=(LVL*7000gold)*1.7
crystal [cost]=(LVL*15000gold)*2.3
[LVL is the item in the lottery slot]
each each one gives you a different item from that type of item at random.
it would work like temple of gods, but with a few tweaks.
the chances that you get the item depend on how many people 'bid' on a 'lottery ticket' for that slot. you can only get one 'ticket' from each section, but you can get a 'ticket' from each section.
basicaly, if you have the money, you can take a chance at each item up for the lottery.
Gold / Kill peaks at about Level 310 or so - and then drops again twice - once at 1601 (from average 300g / kill with no doubler/mer/th to 250g / kill) and then again at at 1626 (down another 50g / kill to an average of 200g / kill)

FS used to have a lottery which had to cease, as I understood it, because they didn't have a gaming licence.

Only a small gold sink, I know - but something is better than nothing at this point.

that would be gambling, and illegal for age purposes

Get rid of the arena entry fee decay.
It will drop more gold as people won't wait until the entry fee is 1K, and the arena will speed up for the same reason. This will kill 2 widely complained about birds with 1 stone.
Only a small gold sink, I know - but something is better than nothing at this point.
Not sure that's right - the whole point of the arena entry decay price was to fill up stagnent arenas that waited DAYS before they could start...

Understood, but currently people are waiting until the entry fee is next to nothing before entering. If the entry fee was more reasonable for some of the items, they would fill up fast. 100K for a chronos piece that won't re-sell for that isn't attractive to people. I've seen some items that were less than 1000 gold entry and still not full. That's not helping anything.
If there was a flat fee for arena entries, I'd bet they would fill up in a reasonable amount of time. How many more arenas a day would run if they entry fee was a flat 25K for everything? I'm going with a bunch.

Oh, I'd agree with you there - some of the arena entry prices now, relative to the reward value, are simply ludicrous. Like other aspects of the game, the cows need to keep a close eye on it and adjust things on the fly rather than let it completely stagnate again and then address it.

How about tweaking FI to work better + adding some more potions in the caves? That would make me happy.
