You know what they should do for a gold sink?
As a one time event, put 15 AL750 pots (or something like that) in the special AH and let the auction run for 4-5 days.
Gold sunk in pots, maybe 30-60 mil each.. and those who didnt win the bids when it expire would be nice targets for sinking gold by PvP :P

right now the Xmas offer is putting the marketplace out of wack.
this is because market prices are heavily influenced by the supply of FSP in the game -- less FSP in the game means higher prices for FSP in the market, standard supply and demand.
currently, people are buying FSP that won't be delivered until December 22.
this drought in currently-incoming FSPshould be driving the price of FSP up in the market.
when the dam bursts and the FSP get delivered on 12/22, expect the price of FSP to decline.

long term, as fewer people play and more people decide the game is not worth investing in, FSP prices will rise. that has been the case for a while now.
but right now the price is artificially inflated by the delay in receiving Xmas FSP.

best gold sink can be if we have to invent some epics or potions with plants like Purplet ...if i remember from last Event with all creatures on the maps prices for purplet was 2.000.000 gold.

...or plants like purplet from AH and quest items from caves with 50.000 gold minimum search

no its not its high because ppl like it high the price gets pushed up and as gold serves little to no purpose . unless there is scavenging there is no reason to buy gold in vasts amount so the price stays high..the reason it has got so high can be easily traced back over to hcs mistake with the stam it ment ppl had mass stam and hunted again sooner then they normally would. so had alot more gold to get rid of with no one buying that gold ppl ,listed it higher and higher in an attempt to sell theirs.
and price only drops for a temp period during scavenging but ppl who sell fsp like getting 200k for a fsp its not ,that there is a shortage in fsp its just ppl aint selling them.. cause they have no reason too

Exactly. The bonus stamina has caused FSP prices to go from 175k on average to 195-200k on average. Also, Hades makes a good point about gold sinks. There isn't any of them anymore.

List of Sinks and Status
Arena ... dead, crappy prizes + flawed status of Arena + domination by certain players
AH specials ... good sink, but potion bazaar hurt it
Bounty Hunting ... mostly dead, with opt-out feature + PvP protection upgrades
Scavenging ... okay sink, when there is an event going on. The nerfing of FI hurt this sink

AL750 pots for leveling, gold hits for PvP, and gold sink for everyone ;)

We had a "normal" special offer 3 weeks ago. I doubt there is a lack of FSP in the game.

I'm going to put this into a couple of the gold sink threads. I love the idea of a guild arena a group of say 3 guild members use combined stats in an arena against other guilds. Items go to guild, tagged maybe make RP tourneys(with huge entry fees) special group combat moves. All other aspects of arena are same the way stats are calculated and gear restrictions everything.

Understatement.

O.K. i have been saying for months and months that more effective use of the gold sinks built into the mechanics of the game need to be utilized. The sad truth of the matter is just this; high gold prices are one of HCS' donation tools. The higher the price for FSP in the marketplace, the more people are inclined to tap that credit card genie. They could very easily lower the amount of gold in the game by introducing JUST 3 new, and sought after potions in the caves. But, that is not going to happen because this "game" that we all partake in is a "business" to those who provide it for us. The ultimate goal of the customer is to have fun and reach satisfaction with the product they have consumed; however the ultimate goal of the people who own, operate, and provide the service is to make money.

Now with all that being said, i wish the HCS team to hear and understand something. The issue of gold may be snagging you guys a small amount of revenue with donations due to people buying FSP instead of earning it in game, but the more and more you neglect the majority(those of us that can't afford to dump real money into a game, and rely on in-game income to play) of your players, you yourselves are pushing this game further and further over the cliff. Read any of the numerous ideas on how to get rid of gold out of the game, and put some of those great ideas into affect. Failing to make the majority population of your game happy is going to leave you with a game population of the 200 people that can afford to dump money into your game on a regular basis. O.K., i think i feel better now getting that off my chest.
