hcs values fsp at 50k gold check the upgrade allow 25 stam to be bought for 150k 3x what they say its worth and the mp will drop to 150k.. what ever hcs decided the value was the mp would drop to that and stay there..
so they could do the upgrade so its either 25 stam for 150k gold or 1 fsp like now
either way fsp and gold would be sunk ..ppl like me who dont need the fsp would buy gold to level instead of using the fsp but the fsp would still be used, as someone who does need them would of exchanged their gold for it..so the cycle is completed they get the fsp they want i get to lvl and the gold is permently gone from the game.
but sadly will never ever happen it doesnt benefit hcs or so they think fact is it would ..prices of gold drop, means i would need to sell more fsp to get the gold i need for forging or scavenging. so there is a win for hcs as it happens game wide..
in fact anything where fsp is sold for gold would cost more fsp as prices drop u get less for ur fsp meaning more fsp used..
problem for a long time was always more gold in game, then fsp ppl are willing to sell. but there is alot ppl who buy stam.who would trade it for gold and therefore its gold removed and not mass fsp wasted instead there still gone just used in upgrades etc ..would also allow more non donators to get upgrades as they have another means to gain fsp
anyway tis but a dream cause out of all upgrades the +25 stam is endless in its use so no loss
only pvper suffer as less gold on hand

Question: If I don't post sceen shots, but only the sinks, will my sinks still count towards the 2 bill target? I think others need the rewards more than I do, but I'd like to join the fun. Just dont feel much like taking screen shots and uploading them every single time I buy a special pot, scavenge, repair, PvP etc. Too much work
If you could for anything you'd be claiming a prize/reward for that would be great, or for especially big sinks so we can get a feel for that too! - feel free to just post smaller amounts though

Okay, last post, and then I have to go to bed.
The price of FSP goes up because of two things:
1) people make gold-into-FSP 'requests' at a slightly faster rate than people sell the FSP-into-gold (except during LE events, where the opposite is true, and, subsequently, FSP prices fall), and
2) when people make their gold-into-FSP 'requests', they tend to place their requests at a higher rate than the current highest rate, in order to get rid of the gold faster.
So the price of FSP in the Marketplace does a dance like this:
up
up
up
down
up
down
up
up
down
up
up
up
down
down
etc etc etc -- there are more "ups" than there are "downs"
So, I can't help thinking that the solution to high FSP prices is ridiculously simple: never make a request for more gold than the guy at the top, and instead always make it for lower.
This gets rid of the "ups" altogether - leaving only "downs".
...Am I wrong? It feels like it can't be right - though, not for any reason that I can think of, and maybe only because I can't believe the solution is so simple.
if this was applied in RL too I think you would have quite possibly solved any and all global economic crisis's.
FTW!

This is because a noob like me pwnt the crap outta him. 8)Hooftest is easy to beat, but as it's a test char, you can't attack it.If i send my bank to hoof do i win fallensword?
no but if you kill hooftest then I'll send u all my fsps....its in the 4 digit range atm..though not all of it is mine..but who cares :twisted:INFORMATION It is not possible to attack a test character.
Ohhhh...this took WAY too much stamina. Upwards of 1200 stamina completely naked with 2 Attack, 1 Defense, 1 Armor, 85 HP, and 1550 Damage.

Wonderful! I didn't know any of these were still out there but thank you for including it in the gold sink challenge

1. Reduce the cost of bank slots from 50 FSP to 15 FSP.
2. Allow the number of bank slots to increase from 10 to 100. (It is probably just a counter)
3. Reduce the cost of resetting bank deposits to 3 FSP.
I do not know how many people have purchased banking upgrades so I do not know how much HCS has made due to the banking rules, but I really expect a lot more people would purchase additional bank slots if they were cheaper.
As someone pointed out the purchasing of FSP is done mostly to hide/keep safe gold. Additional bank slots would do this also.
Of course, a some (or maybe almost all, I would not be one) of those that have bought bank slots would complain if FSP were not refunded if the price were reduced.
I can see people that like robbing others of gold complaining because less gold is available. But on the other hand they could bank a lot more of the gold stolen.

1. A lot of FSP are bought because people are afraid of being robbed. This is a big driving force for buying FSP when hunting.
2. A lot of FSP are bought at big overbid prices current market prices by gold thieves. They want to get the gold off-hand before a bounty is placed on them. And since they just used 100 stamina to get the gold, it is major profit over hunting. At best hunting with Merchant and Treasure Hunter is going yield from a single round of combat about 720 gold/stamina point. On average I think with distil 150, treasure hunter 200, merchant 200, conserve 200, (I am ignoring the Potion of the Canny Warrior (level 250 - 51 exist), Potion of Preservation (level 500 - 97 exist), and Conserve Potion (level 500 -6476 exist).) and hunting creatures level 300+ you will make 596.16 gold/stamina point. Using conserve 500 instead this increase to 745.2 gold/stamina point. At 100 stamina that is 74520 gold. Except for someone hitting me just for the ladder (I had less than 1k gold when they started, and they did de-level me 2 times over a 24 hour period), I cannot remember the last time I was robbed of less than that amount. This would allow the people to bank the gold and not have to place bids often 10-20k/fsp higher than the current high bid.
3. Gold in banks is gold out of play. It does not affect marketplace prices until removed from the bank and then only if used to buy FSP.
4. More deposits could mean more gold donated to guilds. This would mean for many guilds (like mine) having more structures or more highly upgraded structures. This removes gold from the game.
No, I think this idea would help ALL players regardless of playing style (PvP/GvG/Levelers/Arena) and regardless if new to the game or an EOC player.
AND it can be done VERY SIMPLY.
Heck if the increase the maximum number of slots to 100 for members than have bought slots at 50 FSP they can just give them more slots instead of refunding FSP, in the case of uneven multiple like 1 upgrade would yield 3 1/3 bank slots or 2 upgrades yields 6 2/3 , round up or give a 5/10 (respectively) refund. That way their are no complaints.

Yes, for a change. I am all for lowering prices in the Marketplace, but as someone pointed out gold banked and left banked is gold out of the game.

Make a thread for your ideas to be discussed, this ones about sinking gold in fun or evil or absolutely silly ways
