this thread is kinda like people saying they want to keep their old 286 comp because it has memories for them , but the reality is they know they want to use the latest fastest computer they can buy yet they keep denying it or refuse to accept change.

I prefer the old UI as my trusty 286 can handle it better lol. Seriously though, I prefer the old UI, the new one seems to be just a mess, tried navigating the map and it's all over the place. I agree, though, that both should be available so people can enjoy the game in their own way.

+1 Judging from the poll results, about half the people like each of the UIs, so why not have the choice? I'm sure this would please everyone.

I like the new UI and the map. Once all the bugs are fixed, it will be better and faster.

I tried the new ui. Other than the pretty background options that were offered, it was quite useless. Game play slowed to almost a crawling point. The overlapping text was no fun either.

I voted for the old because there is a lot about it that i liked. Im ok with the new one but for me i would like the good parts of the old put into the new, then it would be perfect

On the left side of the new UI it keeps oppening up the guild preference and i have to keep closing it down. Also all the opptions on the left are to samey for me, i struggle to find things as it looks the blimmin same. The old UI was better for this in my oppinion.

While I understand your frustration at change, I feel it would be far better served to help the cows by being constructive towards the new UI as that is the direction we are headed we would be better served getting that interface off the ground and running. Are there issues yes, but they are working hard to fix them. Is there lag? No more than I've noticed on the old UI but they even said when it's completed it will be faster I'll take the wait and see approach. The old UI is on its way out there isn't anything we can do about it

I like the old UI, but i also like the new UI,, but which one is better?
theres only one way to find out................FIGHT!

but seriously the new UI is good and this thread is pointless because the cows have put a lot of effort into the new UI and they arent going to run 2 different UI's now are they

I like the old interface better, it has fewer bugs and is easier to use. And i like the new map for leveling when it's working right. But that's only a couple hours every 3 weeks or so.

i've resisted trying the new UI because of the many comments like this one - i'm hoping these bugs are worked out before being forced onto the new one

i'm wondering what percentage of players HCS will outright lose when the new UI is forced on everyone

I think comments on buginess are null and void. They will be worked out in due time, so in the end they don't really matter in the overall argument.

Game mechanics still same... i doubt ppl will quit game because of theme...
I'm sure HC's will fix the new UI bugs... and this new map much better and fair than old one, I was about to retire before this new map but now i feel the game much better than before so im playing it more...

I really do like the new map. Aside from that I don't like the new UI. However, it is enough to make me hunt on the new UI. After the hunt I go back to the old, though. The hunt is very much faster, but loading pages for my log, the market place, buffs, etc take much longer.

The only other issue I have is the jiggling/immovable map. I can hardly ever find myself on it unless it is on the tiniest setting.

I didn't get a single error from new UI or map its working awesome for me though :)
I think only FShelper users find it odd since its not working yet on new UI

helper is the reason i prefer old ui

traveling in the new map system is awful, there is still a delay for the "non loading" map to load the monsters on that spot - so whats the point.

If i wanted to play a game with moving polygons there are much better free options out there

I have to agree. I really won't be encouraged to play when the new UI becomes the only option.

The new UI & map are working just fine for me, just takes a bit of getting used to. Obviously there's still some work to be done but I'm very impressed so far... I'm using FF 8.0 & the FS Helper. The Cows & the Helper team have done an awesome job. :D
