I am curious how 1 of the winners created his photo without editing it. The photo appears to be 3-4 different photos overlayed than faded down to blend/merge together. I'm not an expert with cameras and I thought that was an effect only obtainable with editing software like Photoshop/GIMP but I can see now that I was wrong since the entered pictures were not suppose to be editted. I would love to learn how to take pictures like that with my camera.

If you talk about mine, i had to jump through hoops to edit the map...Congrats to the winners!! There was some really creative pictures. And nice to put faces to a few names.

For this one : http://a1.sphotos.ak... ... 3124_n.jpg , it's a very different approach...
[Edit : When you say soon, should i be worried i haven't got my reward yet...? ]

@Narael I believe cqinmi was talking about sleepysocks entry (only one that looks layered) but he did explain how he did it in the original competition thread

in good cameras you can select the shutter to not close instantly, thus allowing for what looks like multiple layers...
it's tricky, but great
That's the one I meant and what I wanted to try. (Love trick photography).

Also a good photography trick (in case you can remove your lens (because after it it WILL need cleaning)) is to apply Vaseline (don't laugh) in a circular pattern on the lens (thicker outside, none at the center)... The result will be likea focus blur effect...
