My wife went into labour lol and my daughter decided to make a surprise entrance so guess i got my own better reward.


Congratulations! I hope Mother and Daughter are doing well!

Big plus here - it was great to see BigGrim actively working to help us out. Top marks for playing the game with the players.


Needed done! Those Foot Soldiers weren't gonna be defeating themselves! :mrgreen:

All in all, this seems to have been a success. Lots of feedback too, which has mostly been constructive and helpful. I have a huge notepadful of suggestions and observations.

It would have been a big help for me if the items and monsters were defined in the wiki. I did not know where to go to find out how to invent the items I wanted. I did manage to obtain the cog set.


Thats kinda the whole point to figure it out, bit like players at EOC do everytime they level, you work it out and it makes it more interesting rather than following a pre made guide.

Its pretty standard stuff considering LE's levels were posted on the news post outlining the event and strangely enough, the LE's were in their level realms. Then the footsoldiers were on every map in the game.

All in all, this seems to have been a success. Lots of feedback too, which has mostly been constructive and helpful. I have a huge notepad full of suggestions and observations.

Notepad, really...?!? :)

Joking aside, a lot of good ideas were heard from many people, not many to actually repeat but a few which i find crucial for the next event(s) to be better :
[1.] Unless a reward is given to the top 100 killers (or 250, or something) for their insane number of kills, i doubt that the next global event will have that many kills...
[2.] More players would happily burn their stamina for rewards/medals/fun if some kind of doubler was used (it's one thing to burn 20k stamina by 16/kill and another by 1/kill) (someone, can't remember who, proposed a special doubler potion that will apply only to the event enemies, maybe even invent-able from the drops of the said enemies)
[3.] Another thing already proposed by a lot of players, use a higher required number of kills for qualification... either a solid 2000-2500, or a logical 500/extra tier looked logical and achievable when i read them.
[4.] Don't overlap the with LE events, unless the LE event is more limited (14 new LE's?) or their kills stack... A few more good ideas where dropped on this subject, with the best one to be reach x Tier for the LE's to spawn...
[5.] Add Guild Quests and related rewards and medals so that we can see who has the bigger stick :)

As for a few ideas :
Make the "foot soldiers" give out a bit of xp and gold maybe...? Not that it wasn't proposed by a few as well, but i believe that more would be satisfied if they at least got a bit of xp for all that stamina and gold sink... :) ( a probable code for that would require too much work, unless it would give a standard 10 gold and 0.01% of your level to be translated into xp depending on player's level ? )

Add to all players a 10th equipment slot ( like a cloak or tattoo ? ) but make the equipment extremely rare to drop from the event enemies ( maybe even code it so that buffs don't affect their drop rate ? ) as an extra motivator to kill more? And make their graphics good for the bait to work :)
A bit more thought on that would be to add a few of them, make them to not take space in the backpack (something similar to components maybe?)...
...Also, they could give a bit of stats/enchantments/passive-buffs, nothing too much to make the game much easier, nothing too little to not make them worth it...?

...Nothing else pops to my mind, keep up the good work :)

not trying to hijack the thread but thankyou to the ones who congratulated me and my family and mother and daughter and both well and at home ..

on a global note look forward to the next maybe allow doubler to be used after all its the same stam being used and the more kills can only help the commuity as a whole.. hell i would of dumped alot more stam if i could but god it was time comsuming doing what i did

If there is another along the same lines I would like to see a special section potion that acted just like doubler with the bonus of increasing kills to your kill count (not stackable with actual doubler). Would have a dual purpose of more kills and less gold in the game.

doubler multiple the exp only, new pot for multiple kill streak needed for the event :)
and the resources for invent this new pot from foot soldier too, so everyone will keep to kill the soldier for get the pot resources. the pot will give effect double kill streak but make exp from the creatures = 0.

Decent event, but a lot of people already made good suggestions for improvement. The only one I don't agree with is this doubler nonsense. People with more stamina already have an advantage, doubler would benefit the ones with tons of stam moreso than the people without. This showed who wanted it more.

Next Global should be different imo!

There should be legendaries but no LE sets coming from them!

Here is how I see it!

Legendaries at different levels (one per 100 levels tier) would drop two recipes each.
Legendaries would also drop ressources needed for those recipes.
Level 1 creatures would also drop ressources needed for those recipes.

The recipes would be some quest items needed to build a single item!
A certain amount of each of those quest items would be needed in order to get the community a new reward.

Reward system would be similar enough but with an addition!
Chests with a choice of potions depending on the amount of kills community gets and if you qualified.

Additionaly, there would be a reward to everyone that qualifies if the community manages to bring back enough of the invented quest items to create the community reward.
The reward would be an item (helm, armor, gloves, etc..) that could grow with the player.
The item would grow every time you get to a new 100 (100, 200, 300, etc.).
Every player could chose on the starting stats of their item (ie.: attack/defence, damage/defence, attack/armor, etc.).


I would find this cool enough! :)

EDIT: You could even make other areas of game come into account.
Like needing a certain amount of SE's kills too.
Or like needing a certain amount of XP loss with PvP. :P

to be honest instead of sets would been better to be able to make potions at least they are used up . after the zombie brew drops there was well over 18k of them we are now down to 10k so they do get used .. problem is with sets is there farmed so heavily that new sets within a day and worthless you cant give the damn things away.. now i bet there was millions of lvl 1 guy drops by the end you could of used a 100 per pot made and at least had a reason to kill so much with a few le drop resources to finish a pot off..

Similar to how the sacrifice christmas pots were made? It would be great for an event like that again with multiple types of potions, instead of gear.


And agreed on the new sets, there's tonnes of them in game now lol. Either tweak the invention rate a bit lower, or lower the drop rate on resources, or both ;)

Weird, I made a bunch of sets for friends in a manner of minutes. inventing gear, inventor 250 and inv2.

I still hate inventing stuff tho >.<

yes, as long all LE not appear in same time, 2-3 LE in every unlocked tier.
recycle new set in to new item.

I have a feeling the invent rates were changed near the end of the invent.

running invent 288 and inv II, I was failing on ~50% of what I was making at the start of the event. Towards the end I was only failing about 15-20% of invents.

odd i only failed on about 30% of trys from start to finish and that was using standard inv1 and 2 didnt even bother swaping into gear to up master invent lvl

Since that subject came up, I'll add that my friend B***** had nearly 100% success rate and I don't think he was running anything so fancy as Inv250. He, of course, was giggling at my repeated failures, but was also kind enough to show pity on me and simply give me some of the sets I was unable to make. I just figured he had some kind of ridiculous good luck, but it looks like others had a similar experience.

Perhaps there was something wrong with the code? (truly, I don't know, just throwing it out there)

I didn't ask him specifically but I think he only failed a couple of times and he was inventing all the first evening along with me. He basically ended up making the sets my guild will be using-- as it was to be my goal to make the sets for my guild. I, on the other hand, was well under 30% success rate-- despite the "Above Average Chance of Success" or "High Chance" the inventing screen kept giving me. Something is/was amiss. At the least perhaps the markers for likelihood in the inventing screen are set a bit unrealistically.

BTW, no one in my guild was particularly successful at inventing during the event. Seemed to put a damper on everything anyone was trying to make. *shrugs*

Great efforts for HCS in come up with this Globe Event. I must say this is really great idea overall :) and would be much better if some of things were set differently:

:arrow: Personally, I think for what types of items Zorgrom Stashes gives, there are more than enough supplies of those types for most players’ needs already. I worried about the negative affects on the portion of community in potion making and buffs selling. So I think it’s better to making reward goal harder to get instead easier. So reckon changing tier to 3,000,000 kills wasn’t a good idea.

:arrow: To increase the community’s participation: Why not increase # kills to qualify for reward much more (than 250 for this event) and make the reward unbounded? If the ‘# kills to qualify’ is high enough, it cannot be reached by multi's created by certain people, so not abuse. Then, players would have more incentives to contribute more killings from unbounded reward.

Edit: I have read a bit more of what other suggested. Most Belaric' ideas in http://forum.fallens...05916&start=390are great. In paritcular, the idea about getting penalised if we failed in the future globel event.

:arrow: The ‘body resource’ drops are common, I got more than enough without buffs. So I don’t think it hurts to make the drop rare in future events.

:arrow: I was a bit worried 4 days might be a bit too long for a legendary Event. Not just the oversupplied of the legendary items, but how everyday items (Rare, Unique…) are made absolute…

When I start killing the creatures during the event, I have noticed order of creatures (assigned with #1-8) randomly change each time page reloads and the same creatures don’t group together anymore. This still happening today…E.g:

Hell Hound 2
Ramdal Stalker 3
Hell Hound 4
Hell Hound 5

Instead of before and order would not change when reload the page as shown blow

Untill we come to an number which is both achievable but not too easily achievable we should be having it at 3million for now and maye alter it futher. IF the next event is the same, mindlessly killing crap, then 15million will still be difficult to get, especialy if people who got alot this time around decide it simply wasn't/isnt worth it due to EVERYONE's contributions or for some other reason.

Making 'em ubound? Im sure I don't have to spell out Multi Abuse for you to see how yes additional participation will deffinatly be there, just for pure greed for the most part. Although requiring more kills that 250 is certainly a must. 250 for first tier than 750 for second then 1500 for 3rd.. Somthing along those lines :)

I too got more than plenty w/o a Find Item active, though with the amount of kills required I don't think changing there drop rates would make a huge differant, Unless they are really low and ofcourse, a decrease in the items they create would be there. Which sounds quite alright

As it is, with Smashing Hammer and the two Coord buffs, these items are becoming obsolete without new gear being made available and naturaly many items are overpowering to these types regardless of newly items, though they have tried to boost I think champion item stats from 1000 or so to see if they would be of any use then..
