Now i don't know what the rest of the community think but i personally think that most of the current items are now little to no value. Maybe have a temporarily removal of the current items for a brief period of time when introducing the new arena items into the game. I think the arena needs monthly (2monthly, 3monthly ????) changes with rotation of items to keep the game interesting and could make more people compete in the arena as certain monthly items are available.

Let's just hope BG has read these arena threads and taken these item rotation matters into account.

I knew this would be the problem from day 1 when this was proposed. Its just the same arena players farming these arenas now and others have no interest as items have no value.
Gear has little meaning in arena now as there is so much luck. When gear has less of a function than move placement and random luck, no matter what items you put into arena the value will be low.
The mechanics of arena should have been changed back to what they were and minor improvements should have been done from there.
All the praise I see for making all these junky low gold arenas are people that have no foresight for what this is going to cause to the arena based economy.

not sure if increasing number of components required to invent will help. only way i can think of right now is to stop production of current components, reintroduce in say 6months? then stop production of 'other batch' of components.

Fast arena more interesting !
we still have to take out crystalline sets from arena
and add new interesting sets inventable that required current rewards in arena to make it more active and keep the rewards value balanced

I know a lot of casual arena players only play a few level ranges, and thus get bored of winning the same thing over and over either cause its worthless or has no use for them after they have won and made the set they wanted.
My suggestion would be to expand the range of the components in the arena so people can enter and play for a larger variety of items.
how? could be done a bunch of ways
1. All items can appear in any level range from 5-1200
2. Items Appear from 100 levels below to 1200 (this 1 is because you can only invent items if you are with in 100 levels of the recipe)
3. Items Appear +/- 350 levels
Any are fine with me would just like to see some variety in different levels as it really does get boring entering the same items over and over.

Can't agree with you there...taking days for tournaments to fill, and showing around (and only) 70 or so arena completed -- way too slow.
I am all for new items to appear -- value of existing items will rise a bit again as they become more scarce. New items too...

one big benefit i see is the marketplace price are down a bit, not like before where it has swelled up. but i think its gonna go back since arena components aren't that appealing now.

I one who don't care that much if the current rewards in arena got devalued, however some rewards will stay profitable for sure ...like good Potions, Icon of styx and many others used to make gr8 set so there will be interest for it ... 30 or 40 or 50 fsps still profit for selling this reward.. 100 fsp for one quest item is crazy price tbh!

Sorry mate have to disagree with you a little here.
There is only so much supply any market can take before the prices drop BIG TIME. Acherons is selling cheaper by the week and at the moment the prices have stabilised mostly due to the lack of availability of the other components like tarbidas shields etc.. and people hoarding the icons. If we stay with 40 item tournies the prices of everything will crash. I say keep 40 gold tournies and only 20 item.
But the best fix would be to create some new items with current arena components (possibly use also some SE gear like triclopse Destroyer Swords etc..) make invention rates low and make the sets good (ie) a level 700-800 defense/damage set that doesnt use boots or helm
Thoughts BG?

On some points i do agree though: Return to 16 player tournaments, for all resource items. Scrap the outdated potions. Make some new potions, or even better, make some invent-able potions using the arena resource items.
Wild idea: champions potions: using both prestige,pvp-points and arena resources!

Crystaline items seems to very easily outdated- the best thing you could do for the arena in this concern would be to turn smashing hammer into cursed hammer, or maybe make a cursed apprentice buff (+xp -unbreakable)... they have to break.

I just think its so unprofessional to start fixing a problem, and stop halfway.. people have been stressing for the last 2 weeks with bugs still within the arena and you 'HCS' have ignored the positive feedback that we provide.. could we maybe have a comment on this thread please?
and with regards to crystline items either get rid of them or get rid of ub190.. personally i would say get rid of ub190.. we have the lvl175 buff, and we can start to see crystal gear being broken!
