You can only gain PvP Points from attacks you initiated.

why would you do this ? if i win while defending i should get the point !
Overall it looks the ladder is not changing much at all , just changing the numbers used for the rating , A cow is a cow even if you call it a pig.

The 500 stam limit per person is silly too , should be no limit , sometimes resets go the full 47 hours

lost attack will give less chance to get 1st place ...
some players got 5 hours to play and some got 20 hours ...so limit to stop farming !

Define farming? Regardless of aspect of the game, some are more active then others, some are online to hunt more titans, some are online more to sell more buffs, some are online more to enter more arenas, Some are Online more to pvp More.

For GVG's, are you able to defend with just 1 person, or do you need multiple people as well? For example, 2 level 1k+ people hit me for 50 hits, and they only have minimum amount of members needed to GVG. If the remaining targets they have are 1050+, can I hit for 50 hits back to tie/win by myself, or can I only hit 25?

Defenders should be able to hit back completely by themselves, or this opens the ability to manipulate GVG and take advantage of "farming" guilds. Example - you recruit 4 members who are 50 and you are level 1200. You have your members attack guilds who only have 1 person within the attackable level range and make sure you (high level) can't be hit by a member of the other guild. Your guild goes 50/50, but if they only have 1 target who can hit your members, they would only be able to hit 25/50, thus never able to achieve a draw as the defending guild. (Sorry just realized this as an example as I was looking at people around my level range to see how many targets I currently have).

It is mentioned the max 25 hits is only for the attacking guild, defending guild can use just one player.

They can't choose the time of the defend, have a timelimit and this way will be able to defend exactly the same way as the GvG as it stands now.

In the higher levels, and using all pvp buffs/pots, I don't believe a 100 levels is always going to be such a big difference as you seem to think. BB is full of lower levels managing even pvpers that are more than 100 levels above them.

Also, the points awarded for at least completing all the attacks, makes even a loss more interesting.

The flaw in your logic however is assuming there has to be equality in exp lost between a 'victim' and attacker.. If the attacker is 'caught' (placed on the BB) doesn't it simply make sense to make their 'punishment' exponentially worse?


You discussing equality on a forum that you were banned from is ridiculous. How is it that you were even reinstated to this forum anyways? I read what you posted to get yourself banned and I for one do not agree with your ban being lifted.

Might as well throw in my tuppence-worth on GVG.

The proposal to limit each GVGer to 25 battles will probably kill off GVG in my guild. We only have one long-term member who plays GVG. We do occassionally get new members who wish to GVG, but almost invariably they refuse to listen to our advice and end up losing some rounds. Requiring a successful GVGer to pair up with them will just leave both unsatisfied.

And while I applaud the attempt to make a draw worth fighting for, I doubt that the numbers will stack up. 500 stamina for 5 GRP probably won't seem like a good enough reward - unless the initiation cost is significant. The GVGers will prefer to use their stam where they can expect to get full value, and the non-GVGers clearly don't find the full reward enough of an enticement, so why be tempted by 50% reward?

How about allowing up to 50 battles per player, but then adding a slight premium for 75- and 100-hit GVGs (say buy having the same initiation cost for all three, or giving 10, 16 and 21 RP for 50, 75 and 100 battle contests). That way we could still run with 1-player GVGs, but there would be an incentive to try for more team-oriented battles. Or even add 1 guild RP for every player who does at least 10 battles in a contest? or ...

I think you know what he means Mae, you're a good pvp'er, shouldn't you be testing yourself against more than just the targets that you can find offline or 'easy'. I've seen some of the setups you wear, some of the stats you can pull. Surely you'd find it more enjoyable pitting your skills against a variety of opponents to determine who was the overall best, instead of simply targeting someone over and over to 'farm' wins.

Nothing personal just opinions.. oh You are guru of lost lvls but we didn't talk about lvls lost in this arguing ..and that doesn't mean your opinion always right.
If you see farming as different view then don't quote me to explain im wrong...

You can see it that way, or, you can see it as a test of skill. setup vs setup. A limited amount of hits makes that second scenario possible. Not taking sides here, just pointing out what I think the update is hoping to achieve.

If you log into the ladder expecting nobody to hit you because you are offline for 2 days or 18 hours a day, go to toys 'R' us and buy a soother. If you only have the time to play in the weekend, then opt in on thursday night so you'll be opted in after the ladder resets and play the same game. Otherwise, see my opening statement about buying a soother.

and how exactly is it not set up VS set up as it is now? all the reduced hits is going to do is make it more profitable for someone to wait till the person they are hitting is offline and unbuffed

if your hit(while opted in the ladder) by someone else (opted in the ladder) no matter how many times they hit you no putting bountys on them. your just going to have to trade blows till the ladder resets. On the side note if what i just said gets implimented, Ill be concerned.

Bounties dont apply to any PVP ladder hits.

...P.S. Im just kidding im just pointing out the extreme on the pvp side, though i guess it could get worse than this.
