MASTER THIEF BUFF

I would like to see a new buff or potion that will enable a true Master Thief 100% of the time providing that the attackers Thievery and Master Thief enchantments are also at 100% as well. I think it's only fair and reasonable to request this...
Yes, I am totally serious here. I PvP'd someone today having all my enhancements at 100% (Thievery + Master Thief) + I also had Gloat on as well and even than I was only able to capture 25% of my targets holdings. I feel this is totally unfair given how many options are available to those who do not pvp.
Honor : Reduces XP loss in PvP combat by 35% - 100% of the time ( NEVER FAILS )
Deflect: Reduces the chances of being hit by another player about 35% of the time.
Let's not leave out:
The Bounty Board which is available to post those people who attack others.
The option to XP Lock (So one doesn't lose any XP in PvP or PvE combats.
The option of Complete PvP Protection which allows players the ability to carry huge amounts of gold on hand never be hit in PvP and in addition manipulate our M.P. and increase their own FSP.
I am not gonna go into all the amazing leveling buffs as there is no point in doing so. This forum is merely pointing out the fact that this game has gone 100% PvE and anyone who dares PvP will be punished; this is all one sided and totally unfair. I would also like to note that my newest PvP target purchased FSP to increase her stam by 10,000 (which would never had been done if not for my attacks and to allow her to get out of my range faster, and in addition this person also purchased stam so she didn't have to wait 2 weeks to level again. )
If our Devs played this game at all YOU ALL would realize how vital PvP is in this game as it encourages people to: buy fsp fBuy better gear, Buffs and pots to level or attack others, iincrease stam [max or current], Buy PvP Protection, Buy XP Lock, and so many other things.
So do this game a favor bring PvP back... Give those few who are left that PvP a PvP Master Thief Buff, fix the Smasher Medal so you can gain points on it by PvPing other players. Bring the fun back into this game... or just kick back and keep watching one of your biggest money makers go down the drain and keep making it worse as you have been...
The choice is yours....

Without knowing the exact amounts, I don't see a reason to complain, personally.

So you took 25%... the amount sunk was probably another 25% (or thereabouts)... and the guy you hit was left with half of what he started with.
Without knowing the exact amounts, I don't see a reason to complain, personally.
*shrugs*
No reason to complain? I am gonna go to the bb lose 10% of my level if no one 100 stams me, and all for what? some nickel and dime pocket change? No there is plenty to complain about... I am fed up with how one sided things are in this game it makes me sick actually just to think I spent real life money here and looking at the customer service we get in return.
I think all my above statements were very clear as to why it's so one sided and unfair. I will also say that in addition to this game I found a new game similar to this however with far better graphics as well and with far better customer service. The game holds over 5 million people the servers are never laggy, the devs are paid to play the game 2 hrs a day so they can relate to their customer or in game problems. However ... I loved this game for almost 4 years and I've spent so much money here it's a shame to see it all go to waste.....

Additionally, something that was discussed in the past, that was never brought into fruition, a structure for pvp guilds that automatically taxes gold stolen by its members into the guild bank - similar to the tax from hunting. As a lot of guilds have members that don't level, so gold-hitting is their primary means of supporting their guild.
That's a good idea and I recall it being mentioned but was never implemented.
Another idea I was thinking of my self was... Another buff similar to the Honor buff, however this buff would be the opposite so you can always take 35% more XP from someone. <------ Of course many may like and many may dislike but I think it would be really nice to have a buff to counter act another buff if someone wanted too. I know people that just attack others to see the pretty red lines of XP and to be able to take additional XP from someone I think that would be really lovely and lots of fun as well !!! =D

No! The thief grabs the WALLET, maybe overlooks cash hidden elsewhere on the victim (hence not all cash is removed 100% of the time), runs to a secluded area, and in HASTE may drop some cash (gold pit). The wise don't carry excessive cash and if they do carry lots of cash, they are smart enough to protect themselves to some extent.
The pandering of the developers to the PVE'ers who are afraid to lose gold and XP must stop.
I think it is time for action. If things don't change soon, then my family will take things into our own hands.

Uh, what does this mean?If things don't change soon, then my family will take things into our own hands.
OT: I don't care if the gold theft rates are increased, everyone should know by now that you take a risk if you carry too much gold on you without protection. So I say, go ahead, make it easier to steal more gold, if only to placate the currently disgruntled pvpers

See, this is the sickness of what has happened.
Some have become too soft. Scared of PVP, scared to get hit, scared to lose XP, scared to lose gold ... and now it has become worse. My typed words are too scary.

ok maybe I should be more specific: who is your "family" (guild I presume?) and how exactly are you going to "take things into your own hands"?Mimdala and Noeni, of course you don't get it.

Now, back to the intent of the thread. Thieves don't steal just a few percentages of cash on the streets. Should be the same way here.

So your orignal post asks for more gold, then you follow it up by saying you want even less? That's a good idea and I recall it being mentioned but was never implemented.

Also you knew how much xp you were going to lose when you attacked. There's no argument there. What i suggest is to make a chart. How much gold is worth how much XP to you? If the gold doesn't meet the XP being lost, then let the player go. There's no need to set yourself up for disappointment.
EDIT : I meant to quote Fusion, and chazz

You misunderstand... LOL Read the comment and what I wrote over again perhaps it will make more sense a second time?
1. Higher gold takes yes ! Higher as in 100% higher
2. A buff that allows you to take 35% additional Xp when you attack someone

Ie: instead of 10% min - 40% Max stolen RNG, bump it to 25% - 50% or somewhere around there. ( just # im poppin out, not sure what the current thievery RNG is, but I do know its terrible)
Create a structure for master thief boosting the enhancement another 5% per level ( max of 10 level structure)
If the master Thief enhancement % was relative to the chance of a MT happening... it would make ALOT of sense.
IE:
per 10% enhancement, you have a 1 - 2% chance of a MT
so @ 100% enhancement you have a 10 - 20% chance of a Master Thief during pvp combat
@ 150% ( with the structure boost) you would have 15 - 30% chance of a MT during pvp combat.
These % seem better and more frequent, then what we currently have ( just my two cents)
Ultimately, all is naught, if there is no one to hit for gold, or players who are *unhittable* while carrying gold. *shrugs*

I have re-read it. I'd actually like to focus on other things now.

I don't see how PvP encourages anyone to do ANY of what you have said. At least it doesn't encourage them in a positive way. I'd also like to say LOL @ "Just kick back and keep watching one of your biggest money makers go down the drain and keep making it orse as you have been". Asking for help is fine. I personally don't agree with it but i honestly don't care either way. Telling the person they're doing it wrong while asking isn't smart
EDIT: Also a good number of people WOULDN'T CARE about losing gold if they didn't lose XP. A buff to make people even more cautious will just make the Marketplace higher and in the end YOU'D be the ones losing. I know if that happened I'd be sure to hold no more than 200k and send my hunting gold in-between guild members / Marketplace
