Should keep Arena Rewards as it is for the winners ,Tokens only for final,semi final losers .. here how to split the token rewards 

 

 

Additional thought to make token's rewards depend on number of tournament's slots

 

 

 

Rewards:

 

  • Final Loser Rewards :

4 Tokens in 16 man's tourney

2 Tokens in 8 man's tourney

1 Token in 4 man's tourney

 

  • Semi final losers Rewards:

2 Token's in 16 mans tourney

1 token in 8 man's tourney

Stuff you could buy with tokens:

 

  • Current Arena's Resources(all extract-able ones) Cost would be like 50 token.

 

  • Current Arena's Potions cost would depends on "skill level" 1 token for every 5 levels... ie Brewing master potion level 300 would cost 60 token , Last ditch level 225 would cost 45 token , Light foot level 600 cost 120 token... and so on in-case HC's would add new potions to arena.

 

  • Current Arena's Quest items cost would be like 30 token.

 

These prices figured out of my knowledge of Arena's items Supply and Demand in market..

 

Any thoughts?

Would we still sell all recipes through the vendor in (I think) Wulf's? It's in the Colosseum.

To increase activity i would like to see some new arena moves/mechanic change ups. Also new recipes with potentially new items/resources.

Shindrak, I'm not sure, but I believe your Token Prices are little low, maybe that will overflow the market.

What you think about that?

-BM300 - 80~120 Arena Tokens.
-BM300 (Bound) - 40~60 Arena Tokens.

I believe that will change the mechanics a little, and will increase the Arena activity.

And I believe some Arena prizes should stay impossible to afford with Arena Tokens, to keep the price high. Not too much, but at least 5-8 different prizes.

Not sure about potions prices was trying to make it less complicated for hoof , maybe should make different price for each potion depends on how useful it is ...

Your idea is nice  though Bound and Unbound Potions with different prices!

 

Still not easy to make 60 token though :) Do the math.. you have to get to 15 final in 16 mans tourneys to make 60 ! That's not easy when you see many players join the arena

his arena tokens idea is fine...the marketplace would be better if something would change as far as all the new invents needing at least 1 resource..that is killing  the invents and most of the prizes...the resources are few and far between..making the quest items and crystal used for invents worthless...fix this and market for quest items and crystal would increase..been a probelm for over a year now...nobody seems to want to fix it..and arena died..please fix this part of arena...or just please do something for arena...either more resource tourneys or drop the need for a resource..please make the crystal and quest items worth wanting again

No bound would eat the prices away from the unbound. Which will decrease activity and increase activity for some which will equal out so makes no sense.

But the only way to have the Arena Potions (bound) will be actually playing the Arena, and hitting semi-finals/finals a lot of times.

So I'm not 100% if that will increase or decrease the Arena acitivity...Of course the potion prices will decrease a little.

I keep up with this and am still undecided on all the options thrown out,,and talk comparing it to titans brought this to mind because as titans are the drop for the guild that secured the other places still get TKP that eventually build up enough to buy a drop.

 

I do not think tokens are a very good idea as arena was started and based on a winner take all fight and prizes reflect that. Keep in mind theres a lot of nice gear that can be made from arena items and rotation of these items is what will bring the activity.

 

On the other hand it sux to lose in the last round especially to judges coin flip so something by way of prizes for 1st and 2nd would not hurt at all. Perhaps just add a new set of arenas that gives 2 prizes and list both in the start page. ( great idea here,,, im no expert but seems to me and the limited ones I do that prize ones fill WAY faster than gold ones,,,perhaps a prize for 1st and gold for 2nd??)

 

But finally I want to throw out something,,,, how about you get a token for every arena entered and perhaps a couple for 2nd and 1st with these being available to spend in an arena store where players can buy current or even better older arena items this way??

A couple ways this could work

1 just go straight tokens for arena and the store sells the items for a pretty high cost, looking at carved bone pipe on AH right now and going for around 15-18 FSP and the arena is 5k to join. Say 200 tokens to buy a pipe in the token store? The cows can figure better than I how much they want to get before giving a item so just a suggested price to give the jist of the idea. 

2 take a page from SS2 and create a way for someone to take a item they dont need and couple tokens to transmute toa comparable item perhaps even into ones that arent in current rotation.

 

I think these 2 ways could add a bit more to arena and more activity but at the same time not give too much for something thats working ok now but not very active.

 

+1 million. Was planning on trying out arena again anyhow. (0-19, didnt know about newbie arenas, lol). I really like the transmute idea, might take a bit more to do, but most of these suggestions are relatively simple tweaks. Of the token ideas this one seems more rational. I don't think one should get tokens for a first round knockout. I've gotten to half a dozen finals based solely on gear and zero arena moves.

Some of the prices need improving.

You were the overall victor of PvP arena number...., and the price is a potion of life stealer....Death Dealer level 40, and this for a level 1000 arena. What is that worth? 100 gold? common, all this is worth is a tick on the arena victories medal. If second is going to get tokens, then the first price needs to be worth it.

make new invents that do not need an extract- if invents just needed the quest items and crystal to make- the value of those prizes would increase..maybe tokens would solve the extract probelm..not sure..and of course please correct the starting entry fees..starting fees over 100k are a joke...as we have to wait over 24hr for something to start that has these high-priced starting fees..

1 week till feb 12 and arena improvements..lets all cross our fingers that they actually do this..2 years of waiting....arena is dead..super duper slow..i have seen 5 days to start something..do this with arena tokens and maybe things will speed up a bit...lots of new prizes and adjust the starting entry fees would also help....please hcs ..do not lag behind on arena improvements...

There are 12 items still ahead of arena on the roadmap to implement. The roadmap is in dire need of a new estimated date :)
