The player base is, unfortunately, in free-fall - and for that to be happening, players are obviously quitting. Saying they're not is just ludicrous.

 

Some people trot this debate (you will see players quitting the game) out whenever their mode of gameplay is threatened - heck, I've used it myself in the past when a proposed change to something was suggested but to say "hear that all the time, never see it" ? - unbelievable ...

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

Sadly, there will probably never, ever be any ladder fixes. People wanted PvP to die in this game, and if you look at the numbers, they got their wish. It's too late to fix anything since the people that left will never return.
