I just passed by a 'Bronze Deposit'; bronze is an alloy, NOT a pure metal ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze ).

As such, there is no ore for it to mine, therefore no deposits; it would need to be crafted from copper and tin.

Any 'Bronze Deposits' around would need to become deposits for an ore that actually exists (maybe tin is there is not any yet).

It's not real life o_O.

These things happen in games I mean a tree wouldn't come to life and chase after you..

Bronze deposits just show how advanced Eldevin is. The deposits form the alloy themselves .

We did originally have Bronze made from copper and tin, but we felt it then required too much extra time and effort to craft Bronze gear.  You have to mine twice as much, spend twice as long at the forge, and eventually we decided that keeping the crafting process fun was an acceptable trade-off for realism.  So in the magical world of Eldevin you get dragons, you get talking trees, and you get Bronze ore ;)

Than why not just make it so that you get double the bars as you use double the ores? That would mean you would only have to keep track of mining em in the right amounts but wouldnt increase the total amount of time spent mining.

Well, if you did not want people to have to spend more time making the bronze. You could just change the Bronze ore right now, to tin that also gives a decent amount of coal. Not exactly realistic, but helps alleviate the oddity of mining Bronze as a ore. Of course this might cause certain problems from people just mining the tin for future use of not making Bronze bars(coal), so I guess that suggestion isn't exactly helpful. But, something along those lines might help people who want abit more realism when it comes to mining ore. /shrug

Maybe its fanlore time?

There may be giant worm or worm like creatures that ingest ore particularly tin and copper, what you are mining is just petrified worm "left overs"....

Edit: Added detail because I could....

Could even go into greater detail, instead of ingesting just ore, maybe tin and copper happen to be a main supplement in their diet, which has caused tin and copper alone to become extremely scarce, even more so than gold itself. This has caused an unfortunate die-off of these worms. The only evidence left of these worms are the bronze deposits left by their death. Or excretion however you'd like to think of it.

Actually, getting a certain amount of finished metal should require more or less the same total amount of ores, either from 1 type for pure metals, or for alloys.

In the case of bronze, copper is the main metal and tin is in much lower amount; it should not be difficult to add those metals without to have to double the ores and the mining, but using the same total amount, just shared between both metals, in uneven proportion to match bronze composition.

Or just keep it as it is, but replace 'Bronze' with an imaginary metal; there are plenty of those in RPG, and at least one from legends... (http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Orichalcum)

If they change the bronze ore then they'll have to change every piece of crafted gear that requires bronze... Personally I'd rather them keep working on more important issues like major bug fixes and getting the Lv 31-50 content  ready to roll out and test so they can make the necessary adjustments for OBT.

If you want realism go outside and dig a hole.
