Hi all,
I'd like to give you a little update on where we are with the closed beta and what's ahead.
So over the last 4 months we've added a number of things from our development list. However we are working around the clock to continue to improve the game.
Our next update will be v0.8 and this is a big step towards launch. We're aiming to have this update live on the 31st of July. It will include the following features:
- Socketable armors, weapons and gems with bonus stats.
- Gems and Gem Components added to loot tables throughout the world.
- 300 new achievements.
- Multiple character slots per account. (Upgradable to 16 slots)
- PvP Game Mode : Capture the Flag
- PvP Game Mode : Domination
And as always there are a bunch of fixes, smaller improvements and content such as new emotes and as always more items including 2 new sets for the rangers at level 15 and 25. Shortly after this update (August) we'll be rolling out the 35-40 content for testing and we plan on then transitioning to Open Beta (September), where anyone without a key will be able to join the beta! (Note : After the Open Beta all characters will be wiped for the game launch)
So looking back at our first two progress reports, I hope you can all see how many of the features we promised to add have been implemented, nearly all of them!
Along with the v0.8 update, we're going to be releasing the Founder Packs. This will allow you to pre-purchase a pack to show your support of the game and in doing so get some great exclusive rewards which will be applied to your account when the game goes live.
There is still a lot for us to do! And the forums are filled with great suggestions and ways we could continue to improve the game and there's still 15 levels of content we've yet to show you. Our target release date for the official launch is November 2013 and we'll be launching with an additional 5 levels than previously planned which will mean the level cap at launch will be 45. (40-45 content will be on the beta server in October.) As mentioned in Progress Report #2, update 1.1 will increase the level cap to 50, add lots of new content, endgame dungeons and improved crafting professions.
We've been listening to your feedback and we've discussed internally and there are a few major improvements we are working on. The first will be belts. People felt they'd be better suited as a toolbar so you could store them in bags and also the quick potion toolbar could be much more usable, i.e. store usable quest items. Secondly we've also been looking at the prices of bags, respecs and other items in the premium shop and we've reduced prices and buffed some items, like in the case of respec tokens and bags.
I hope you all see the potential we see in Eldevin and I hope you are all looking forward to the many updates we have scheduled as we approach launch.
