So there is a bug right now where the first person to click on a backpack will get the gem rather than it being rolled for by a group. We'll hot fix it tomorrow.

Some of the level 50 craftable items say [0-2] gem slots. Is that as you have not decided what to rate them as or is this a hint of randomness in crafted items.

The Heavy Armor and 2 Medium Armor Special sets show that they will take a gem, but the Light Armor special set is not showing that notation in the recipe.

[0-2] means based on your skill level you will either get the item with 0, 1 or 2 gem slots when crafting. The higher your skill level the better chance you have/

What light set are you talking about?

  • Slightly reduced gold gain from selling crafted items to vendors.

In fact, you have reduced the income to 1/3.

What was the reason for this horrible reduction ?

The reduction is , maybe, ok for the high skill levels. But how about the low levels ?

i.e. Copper Sword lvl 1: Costs 56 copper, old price 68 cp, new price 22 cp. So you have to pay for working !

Imho you should get rewarded for your work with both skill xp AND money.

My suggestion would be to start with higher prices and to reduce the rate of increase through the skill levels.

Anyway, I didn`t have any problems with somebody earning lots of money for doing a really boring job for hours and hours.

As an official altaholic (hi, my name is Shava and I'm an altaholic) I am back in the beta...:).

Planning on getting myself a founder pack probably once I get a paycheck in...  Just spent my discretionary on my birthday last week, and I'm tapped atm.

Thanks!

You can get level 2 weaponsmith almost instantly and at level 2 you can craft 2h axe that sells for 1 silver and costs 66 copper to make. Of course it is not a very effective weapon to make if your goal is to train weaponsmithing fast, but you have now a choice - either make money and train slow or pay for fast training. I even think it's better this way than it was before.

I haven't trained any professions atall (despite some alchemy) this round of beta so I can't say I know.. But from what this sounds like this is the best way to have proffesions..

In my opinion the key factors you need in any crafting profession (with the exception of a few) are:

. A way to make money at the expense of experience.. however the money is not ridiculous amounts and is more of a "consistent money maker" rather than going out and hoping at the chance of a good valuable drop.

. A way to gain experience at faster rates at the expense of income.. however the experience rates shouldn't be extreme.. the experience gain should only be a slight increase..

. A point to the profession, something of value, use or achievement that is gained once you max the profession.
