Did a little experimenting last night with the help of Vero, while killing Garai Hawkers in Lost terraces solo, i was getting 750+xp per kill, Vero joined the kill after i initiated the attack and the xp went down to 250+ per kill, made a group with Vero and started getting 400+ left group and just got Vero to heal me rather than attack and it went back down to 250+ again, seems like the best way to level is to play the game solo and only make a group for instances ( or a tough solo boss) instances can also be solo'd if the player is patient enough to wait until they are high enough level above said instance.

PS don't random heal players or help them kill on your travels (i used to) as it reduces their XP gain considerably.

yep thats why i all ways like to solo when doing any quest myself, instead of people trying to help me with group. only time i need help with group is when needed to do a boss that i can not solo myself. :)

Thus there are no benefits from these group XP stacks.

There is no Group XP farming in this game btw... Questing questing questing... endless questing...

Dungeons take much time and simple mobs are not much XP yielding.

I would suggest a "champions locations" with lots of fast spawning champs where people tired of quests and dungeons could get to dumb mass kills...

Wonder whether the effect will be the same for guilds when they are implemented?

10% xp bonus is very's if get to lvl 5, From Mango thread's stats some about taging target get more - less for each get hit bye other player!  Are geting 25% bonus xp Found buff , add Kill Bonus 10% Group effect still then solo thought do get more kill's in!

45% exp bonus posible!

As far as killing to Questing still best xp vs killing, Minal xp gain compared to how much xp need each lvl!

Guild sys like see how that will work! Out if any kind of bonus!

Small note to for those who don't get found's buff 10% Group is still usefull bit less over still usefull!

Hmm I can't say there's a problem here, grinding mobs to gain experience has always been a solo type of thing, this goes for most games in the MMORPG genre.

It's not to say the group exp buff is useless, for example in a group you could group much more mobs at once and kill them much faster than being by yourself. The group exp buff will also raise that exp gain making it a viable substitute for leveling if you want to play with some friends or strangers.

The density, mob location and re-spawn timer will play into account for the best solo and group spots.

Given the correct location and character it is much more efficient to farm some mobs rather than do the quests (at certain levels), so not everything is quest orientated. I am judging this by the time it takes to move around, take a quest complete it and progress. When questing for experience there's allot of lost experience gain during all the movement.

Neon, there are still just a very few moderately useful  XP gain locations like Goblins or Blossom and they are not much in a way of classic XP gaining locs.

I mean there is no alternative LVL up line for those who does not care about questing lore, ect...

And the current problem is that if you are to quest\farm with your mate you get a huge XP reduction. We are still 35 now, but this will be a problem at higher levels.

I'll agree to most of Neon's points.

Don't forget it's much more fun to do the " gather this or kill that" quests in a pair or triple group.

You'll spare time, so a small penalty in XP should be okay.

I have to disagree, once there is 5-6 mobs that have a decent speed, are auto-aggressive and a decent re-spawn timer you are pretty much set for that level. There are many levels where there are these types of mobs to kill. This is the alternative other than leveling up via questing or slower through professions.

If you farm with friends, yes the exp is reduced. However the drop chance is multiplied by how many members are farming with you (if you're farming efficiently), repair costs are reduced, potion costs are reduced and the kills per hour is increased. Things even out so they are balanced and have both negative and positive effects. I haven't seen a huge problem with the experience rates.

Ok, Ok, calm down man  :D

I just want a few "champions locations", hope HCS pay their attention to HOT topics. :D

But still the only more or less "GOOD" XP farming spots i found are in Blossom and at barrows - others are almost 0 effective. So even if you are to group farm XP you wont find an appropriate place - thats the problem. 5-6 mobs you are talking about some builds do solo, even 10+ of same lvlv mobs, thus group farming becomes even more Unneeded ;)

My idea is simple: yes one can solo 5-6 mobs and do effective XP farm, but its you know... sucks... its always better to have a party fun... but since this fun gives one quite a less effectiveness....... whats the point in it? Thats the main disbalance i see here.

PS spent about an hour boosting lvl 10 guy to lvl 11 in Blossom. What about time spent on boosting lvl 34 to lvl 35?

Wow a Hornets nest, was only pointing out the fact so that new players are aware of the penalties, i for one have had players fresh from the void wanting me to wet nurse them through the game, messaging me saying they need help and it's urgent only to find out they are killing normal mobs.

Haha sorry Kezza, I thought you were opening a debate... kind of turned it into one, wasn't aware this was just for newer players.  :P

just had an idea. if you don't like some one and they are lvling, you could just follow them and heal them so they don't get as much XP. lol

might try this out on some one soon. LOL :P

Yeah, posted some details here a while ago: http://forums.hunted...showtopic=58221

I think the reduction of XP is in place to make power levelling other players less attractive... so a level 1 player can not run around tagging level 30 creeps, while 5 of their level 50 friends kill them all.

It is still possible to group a level 50 player with a level 1 player and gain them tons of XP though, I levelled Zook up to 5 in about 5 minutes doing that  :D

I think that will need looking at too.

There is a kind of geometrical progression - the more level the much more time ye need to spend - like i said before - around an hour to lvl up 10 to 11 on 35 mobs in blossom, taking 8-14 per run. 2-4 mins per run.
