I really like almost all of the ideas in here! Only thing I dont like is displaying the players with gold on hand. People could honestly just sit with auto refresh on and take out people right as they are about to depo or hunt. Sounds like a royal pain to me :/

 

And a note on displaying inactive players and guilds on the "top players" or "top guilds" list. Why not have 2 tabs for each? An active and overall tab. If you select the active tab, it shows only active players. If you select the overall tab, it shows it no matter activity. I think you guys are WAY over thinking this lol.

 

I just have a question for HCS. Some of these upgrades are fairly obvious and quick to add, why are they just being added now? Did you guys take a lot of the focus off FS for a bit, and are now putting more attention to it? No attitude or negativity intended, just wondering :D

I'd like to suggest that the BP improvement be implemented as an upgrade (paid for via FSP) to a character.  This would make it available to those players with mammoth BPs (for whom the cost of an upgrade is not a significant hurdle) and leave it out of the basic player set up where it is irrelevant.

 

( edit: This is assuming that the upgrade is a GS style sorting system for items in one's BP.)

and really if someone has been gone from the game for 3 years .does it really matter if they are on the top rated list ?if they haven't been online in 3 years do you think they really care ?

 

Maybe you're right and most of them would not care whether they're still on the list. But I as an active player would care, for two reasons:

 

1) It's a part of the FS history, and I think it's never a good idea to let the history disappear, even if it is just a virtual history.

 

2) It's like the difference between being the current world champion and having a world record. The current world champion is the best one currently around, but he may actually never have been good enough to beat the world record.

There's a good reason why in sports you have both of them and do not simply throw away the knowledge about world records just because the athletes are not active anymore.

The cows can easily implement that system by having two lists: one for the current champions that reflects the status quo, one for the record holders that preserves FS history (independent of activity). That would probably be the best compromise.

One major thing that is really freakin disturbing!

 

If you get overbid on ah, you cant bid again unless you have the full amout.

 

If you bid 100 and someone bid 101, you need to have 102 gold on you just to overbid with 1 gold so the bid is 103. Either you should get the full amout returned if you get overbid, or make it possible to overbid without needing insane amout just to overbid

 

Maybe its best to return your bids when someone overbid you to prevent people from using auctions as a "temp bank" for massive gold amouts

You only have to increase your last bid? so if i bid 100 gold and get outbid by 106 gold if i pay an extra 10 gold will push my current bid to 110 gold.

this is already in the FSHelper so it's only fair to introduce it to the whole game.. 

 

no matter how 'bad' it sounds for those holding gold, open world PvP needs some juice pumped into it.. an interface for PvP targets will not only get PvPers out there more, but will bring new players in as well. 

 

the bounty board needs to fill up more often and players could always do with more interaction with randoms..

 

a better PvP target interface and the addition of off the ladder/bounty board hits counting towards the Smasher medal = PvP's 'second' wind

A personal FSP bank is just that, PERSONAL.

 

Being able to withdraw from a guild FSP bank is not personal. The person with the permission (if it were ever granted) may well have not contributed ANY fsp ...

 

Historically, fsp withdrawals from the guild kitty have always been denied as a measure of "safety" for the guild fortunes - I personally see no reason to change it.

 

If guilds need fsp's for new gear, or to pay for gvg'rs, or whatever, then the founder can just ask for donations from members directly, rather than into the upgrade "bank".

 

I don't see this logic holding any more. I suspect that most guilds have far more value locked up in the equipment than they do in the guild FSP bank, yet we are all trusted to manage the risk of having the guild equipment raided.

 

And for the last 5 years in my guild, guild founders have been telling people NOT to bank FSPs, but to give them to key guild members instead -- precisely because they can't be withdrawn from the guild FSP bank. I would have thought that this is at least as open to abuse as letting guild founders (and those they choose to delegate the permission to) the ability to withdraw FSP from the guild bank.

 

My own view is that the bigger abuse lies in the loss of FSPs for no valued return by having them locked in a store that can only be used to provide unwanted upgrades. (By definition they are unwanted --- if they were wanted, then the FSPs would have been used up!)

The top rated lists highlight who has done something in the game over the 7 years the game has been in existence. Why wipe the slate clean and ignore the names of past players who many people still remember. Once those names are off those lists they will disappear as if they had their account terminated.

they are medal given to players that support their guild ... not guild medals

At the risk of provoking a certain players wrath (he knows who he is LOL) - there's too much gold in the game anyway. Bringing even more in is a bad idea ...

 

The "+10 Gold Gain" should be removed as an upgrade completely ... It doesn't pay for itself.

I know this isnt on the road map but maybe a suggestion for HCS maybe some bound  and unbound items including epics  that we buy directly from HUNTED COW SHOP that are always available!   like many other games do. Could be potions like plus 20% xp on top of our leveling potions or anything really.  bound item could be a krimson helm as an example that cant be traded. could be bought for $5-$15. merchants still have there purpose and some items maybe cheaper for the common player.

That would be a step in the right direction, though it wouldn't deal with the FSP still stuck in those banks.

 

In new guilds, with little track record by which to judge the honesty of the founders, I could see this block as giving confidence for players to know their investment would be put into the guild. But I would have thought most guilds now have been around long enough for people to know whether or not those in charge can be trusted, and it is now appropriate to assume the FS community has enough maturity to manage its own risk.

I know for a fact I drove people out of FS gvging. I luckily got into a good guild with an experienced gvg team. I was equipt/buffed to the max and hammered the same people in the same guilds. I was level 25 and so was my partner. Not many players got out of our range before going inactive. Was that all me no but some of them had to get tired of logging on to find out several guilds had hit them and there was nothing they or there guild could do to stop it.

 

No offense, but your assumption is that they quit because of your GvGing. Did they send you pms saying they were quitting because you filled their logs once? lol.

 

Keep in mind that, being in a Guild, they hit that level within one week of joining. That means you would hit them... they'd lose little... and then 7 days later you'd farm again...

 

So for info... what you're saying is that a player quit that you had hit twice? Three times? If it was three, I "might" believe they quit because of that... heck... it'd be three weeks... but I really doubt it.

The gain will pay for itself eventually.. you just have to wait until it does.  :)

 

But if we were to eliminate it completely, the people who have upgraded that upgrade should be refunded their FSP...

Adding this feature would decrease the value of just about everything... especially since its bound and untradeable

Why not add an option to be able to take out FSP from the guild bank? It could work like a permission given or something only the guild founder could do. Food for thought :)

Anybody have a link to a Forum discussing this?

 

I have a lot of mixed feelings about the idea even though I happen to be the so-called GF.

 

I see positives and negatives and I'd be interested in seeing any discussion that has gone on.

 

EDIT: Just saw Pardoux's reponse... Figure the issue is scammers... guess I'm going to stick to the "no" group, lol.
