I would play. I've wished for a better version of Runescape and the old sandboxy mmo's for a while now.
But seriously, what is this reoccurring pattern? Does EVERY single game that isn't a linear, themepark, hand holding, shallow, complete BORE to play have to be browser based? Or have terrible unplayable graphics? Or have a birds eye view? With a world that loads as you play and scatters small files across your computer which can also be problematic for people who aren't close to the hosted servers (Australian). Graphics have to be compromised, controls, gameplay, loading times, mechanics, delays.
Why does every game with these decent concepts also ALWAYS get made by these indie devs with like $100 budget? Will a bigger company ever stand up and actually make a fun game? Good graphics maybe? With a normal third person view, functional/non clunky WASD controls? Why always click to move?
Am I missing something here? Are the sandbox mechanics just bound to being like this? What is your problem? Honestly, why not make a game with the same concepts, but a smoother experience? Is doing the above really that hard? Besides good graphics, that's fine, I understand how successful minecraft is despite its graphics.
But the rest is compulsory in my opinion, I just can't stand these outdated click to move, bad mechanics any longer, the need to have annoying files scattered around from the browser, the horrible camera angles, etc.
Yet still, putting all that aside, I'd be very willing to actually play your game if I could at least download a client with the whole game, no loading everything as you go, just a world, installed exactly where I want it on my computer.
I know it'll probably never happen, and I don't usually post any comments or threads on the internet because it goes to no avail amongst the other millions trying to be heard, but what a shame, this game really does look good.
Maybe one day.
