im a bit disapointed, i was excited about this game but i realy got dissapointed when i saw theres a currency limit for free players... :/ by my experience 95% games that have curency limits fail... you cant get money to trade other players for EP or Shop gear, u cant get anything worth over the money that is limited... anyway to me that just ruins the experience and i wish you good luck, i wont be playing this :/

Thanks for your feedback, we are listening to your feedback.

I have personally never hit the currency limit not even close at low level. Note that if you subscribe the limit is lifted.

Hey there!

The gold cap is actually set at much higher than you would reasonably earn at each level - it's generous. It's just to keep the economy from getting out of hand at higher levels. However, if you obtain gold in lump sums by other ways (like buying it in the store) and you go over your cap, you can still spend/trade the full amount so it's not as limiting as you maybe think.

I am level 20 now guys, am getting supporter 25% gold bonus and with my income and expenses am still only at 24 Gold, so the cap may just sound worse than it actually is  :)

At the moment.

I still think the idea of adding a "rested gold" would be worth thinking about.

Here's a proposal that could work both in-favor of subscriptions and the gold cap:

The cap stays the way it currently is, however non-subscribers will still be able to earn gold once they reach 1000 gold in their inventory, basically they will have "gold they can't spend".

Free-to-play

. 1000 Gold (max gold in inventory)

. Player kills a creatures that would normally give 2 gold 2 silver.

. Inventory = 1000 Gold (spendable/tradeable) + 2 Gold 2 Silver (becomes accessible once the player subscribes)

The system would work with the following pattern:

If the player has maximum spendable/tradeable gold then any gold/silver/bronze is stored in the players "non-accessible gold".

If the player has 1000 tradeable gold and 3000 "non-accessible gold" and the player spends 200 gold, they are left with 800 tradeable gold and 3000 "non-accessible gold". The player will be able to continue to earn gold normally, but once they reach the maximum again gold will start to go back into their "non-accessible pile".

This system would not only make free-to-play players feel like they aren't losing money when they are at maximum gold, but it will also give some players incentive to pay.

that's an awesome idea I wonder how many lines more code it would add? Now we have on or off, all they have to do is add is, could happen

The only time I see the need to raise the gold limit is when there is something in the store that costs more than the current cap which atm there isn't. I understand the mentality to have this to keep the server from losing economy balance as multiple accounts/alts could just stock up infinite amounts of gold.

It is a necessary evil and unless there is something that costs over the current cap it isn't a problem, spend money instead of just trying to store so much that you can tycoon the server with multiple accounts and essentially ruin the economy. It is there for a reason.

I think OP is thinking too far in the future. You are lower than level 10 than means you probably dont even have more than 5-10 gold right now. If you actually reached the limit and it somehow got you in a bind, then maybe we can talk :P

If you play the game .. you will find that it will take you a LONG time to get near that cap. Also, if it hampers trade in the future too much .. i'm sure the cows will adjust it or remove it.
