1st 2 dungeons I did I wasn't the leader and I didn't roll a high roll one single time! Every time the other person would get the loot leaving me frustrated. Also does no one talk in groups? Super awkward...
Do Group Leaders roll higher in dungeons?

I know... no1 seems to use group chat, really annoys me as I'm generally on group chat while in dungeons so I don;t see junk etc >.>.
As far as rolls go, I've won a lot of items as leader and as member, so I don;t think it has an effect, I'll be interested if someone disagrees and shows evidence tho ![]()

most people like to talk in regular chat so they can make sure no one is need rolling to win everything as alot of people greed roll instead of need rolling I believe that people should only need if it is gear that is for their character and only if they don't have that item already or something better

The basics of rolling is Need if you're going to use it and it;s for your class, greed if it;s for an alt or for sale, pass if not bothered.

During beta everyone adopted the convention of 'greed' or 'pass' on relics and gems, never need. Now it seems the options are 'need' or 'need'. A person never really ~needs~ a gem or relic, and I'd love to go back to the more polite custom from beta.

Deimos, mage

I don't think so. I'm usually the group leader when I play instances and I never get the drops even when we all pick "greed".
I agree with what Irradiated said too :/ When I was in a group with someone, that person always picked "need" just because it gave them a higher roll chance to get the item. Of course not everyone is like that - most of the groups I've been in people will ask first if it's okay for them to pick "need" because they actually do need the better weapon/armor.

Everyone should follow this but .. sometimes groups make their own rules before going into an instance. Never hurts to ask quick what the rolling situation is for a dungeon before doing it. afterwards, it just going to lead to arguing.
