So I started out playing eldevin inside the chrome web browser, and I was having issues with the game lagging real bad in areas with lots of effects or objects in the scene. I have a really good computer that I built just recently, so I knew it wasn't my computer.

I switched to firefox and game is running much more smoothly now.

Anyone else have any issues with the game running slowly in chrome?

I think Chrome only uses 32bit Java by default, might explain the jump in performance when moving to a different browser. Though I thought Firefox was the same, so that might not be the issue.

I've always been on chrome and I play on max FPS. I've never had any serious lag problems with the game, momentary lag but that's either server side or my internet playing up.

The only thing that makes me lag in-game is in specific places. When I'm near some sort of "hot air vent" and it's on a higher level so it's kind of in my face that drops me to about 5 FPS.. but that's not chrome.. just thought I'd mention it though. :P

I have the same issue, game is basically unplayable for me in full screen on chrome. Almost no problems with internet explorer bar a few areas, I still play with a lower resolution though because I prefer 60 fps over the 30 I get with full screen.

I'm using Chrome and have absolutely no issues.

Hell I was even Downloading a Beta for a different game while playing the other day and had another page open surfing the net for some info and didn't have a hiccup.

Make sure you uncap your FPS (can do it in game) and delete your browser Cache in chrome. Go to settings in the top right hand corner, show advance settings at the bottom, clear browsing data, then untick everything (unless you want to delete cookies but you'll lose your pro saved Pwords so don't bother) except for empty the cache.

This increased my FPS and i'm now running at 120 with no issue.

I tried it in Chrome, but didn't like the performance. I run it in Safari and aside from a few non-performance Mac problems, it runs smooth as glass.

Game runs better for me in Explorer than Chrome, must be the 64 bit java as mentioned before as I know Explorer has that version yet Chrome doesn't. A standalone launcher though would be great, just saying.
