There was a lot of feedback asking us to remove the common items as they cluttered up the backpack. We actioned that feedback.

Yes, but that was before composing came out. Now that common items have a use, (and are required for said use) they should be reintroduced. They dont have to be anything special, just something we can break down.

+1 ... composing increased the need for commons now :)

Like I said, I'll consider adding one basic common per update. I could possibly add them back down the way if need be.

If you do reuse artwork for the items please use obscure worthless items from the past so there is no opportunity for item confusion in the AH, as if the 1900+ common gear looked like anything valuable it could cause issues. Or name them as Fishing knife1912 etc., something to avoid any confusion in the AH if these items start being sold.

Good-bye and hello, as always.

please keep them out of new content...  the lack of common drops at higher levels gives lower levels a new profit area to work with..

Aww see, now you're brain is just being amazing Grim. Yes adding one every 25 levels or so to 1601+ areas would be pretty awesome.

For the images of the items. Using the same one for all of the common items you add into 1601+ would make sense I think?

(I've always been partial to the Lancroft Family crest image.

Shame the UFSG hasn't gotten that far. Figures though, I usually don't like these guides, but when I need it it fails me!

Haha :P

this will be the first 5 fragment common item(i think!).. let's see how this hurts the business of the lower levels.

I don't come on the forums very often, and while not speaking for everyone, I'm sure this statement applies to a some players.

I don't buy common items, or any other type of item from lower players for the purpose of fragmenting. when my supply runs low, I venture to an area with a large FI to gain what items I require.

The fact BG has placed a single item at 1876, I don't think this will affect business of the lower levels, being that those that farm now will still sell in the AH, whether that be a high level player farming a 910+ area or a 900 level player farming the same area. Those of us who don't farm to sell have the chance to stock up as we level.

If your statement is targeting the AH and a higher level farmer placing these common items in the AH to compete with you directly, then you've always had competition with the AH with other sellers of common items, each of you battling with the re-sale value to make it more attractive to buy and under cutting your competitors, this is the exact same principal for the potion / LE item recipe makers.

To take terminology associated with the stock market, it could be a "bull market" - google it!

I'd probably just drop doubler entirely for whichever level that common was at and hunt a full level 1 creep at a time if you did.

Think I'd return to that level after a hunt and farm the bejaysus outta 'em ...

But yeah, IF they come back, great - if not, I'll carry on farming in Karthak for my frags :)

(oh, I see they have, at 1876) - wonder if it's a 5 frag item ?  (should be, given the level ... ). Guess I'll find out over the weekend :)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

I went through the 2xXP event with fi1000 and got 2 common items. that got me 10 common fragments. But I still cant make any potions as it says i dont have enough gold. It say gold cost: NaN  <<< what the hell does that mean?

Are you setting the duration of the potion at something extremely high?

Here's an idea:

Image of a coin, item is a rune, with name of "Common Token".  Double meaning, you know.

Use the same item image and name every time, just change the level as needed.
