At the moment I am a tank in Eldevin. I was initially a ranger, but I realized no one could dungeon because there weren't enough tanks at higher levels. I decided to become one to help out others, but what I was met with, was the inefficiency to solo/quest.

Tanks by nature are weaker, but healthier. In one time fights that last, they can do well (I.e cursed lich, undead paladins), but in short, repetitive fights, they are hindered by their lack of damage. In solo combat, you tend to spend a lot of time healing (potions or food) and less time completing your task at hand.

I asked myself, why should I be punished for choosing to help others over choosing to play the game by myself (or group questing...I guess)?

The answer was, if anything, a compromise. A dual spec!

This way I could accomplish my selfless needs by taking hits for allies that would otherwise be fatal blows and on my off time, grind out some quests and mobs in an efficient and appealing manner.

Edit 1: Dual spec would consist of a second spec. For example, one page could be fully dedicated to templar, while having a completely seperate page dedicated to warrior.

Of course this couldn't be done in combat and it would take a span of time to convert from one set to the other. This would mitigate any theories of abusing the system.

Having multiple builds at the same time is something that will come in handy for everyone, switching between the builds that u want to play whith, when you want to play with is indeed something useful. I have also felt the need of having multiple switchable specs before, I most of times feel the need to go to a more defensive hybrid warrior when soloing and my usual offensive warrior when grouping.

So +1.

Just imagine the Possibilities!

I Agree,

+1 To this as well..

Would be Epic/And more Dungeon Instances Available!

Edit: Would give a Reason for more of the Skilling type players to also Do dungeons as well. (I'm the skiller type/All around skills)

Sorry to disagree, but I hate games that let people flip-flop between classes. You define yourself in game by the class you play, and I think that should stick. I believe that you should make a 2nd character if you want to swap classes.

I do see that it's a bit impractical expecting people to buy all their bags again for a 2nd class, considering how expensive they are. That's the only reason I have not progressed with my 2nd character past level 5.

i'm on the verge of dropping prophet to pick up mage, even with this ridiculous 60 day cooldown for reset character... i'd be fine without duel spec if the cooldown for resetting your character wasn't such a huge penalty

I completely understand, and while I haven't reached the level on this character as a tank yet that the OP has, I understand the frustration from back in Beta. I'm perfectly fine now allowing a dual spec if the cooldown for resetting your character was shorter. Maybe allow it so that if you reset within your class (ie all points in templar resets to 70% points in templar after) is only a few hour reset compared to switching classes (Ie templar switching to warrior or mage).
