My idea is fairly simple and should be easy to implement. With the current christmas event and the recent special offer, many people have been buying and selling FSPs at the MP. This suggestion will help both the buyers and sellers.

Have a box near the top of the marketplace where sellers place the amount of FSPs they want to sell and the game automatically sells that number of FSPs starting from the top.

The advantage is that players can buy a large sum of gold at once. This would avoid errors like "x is above the amount the player has to requested." This should indirectly bring the price down without creating any gold sinks.

I'm not quite sure what you're wanting to do here but it sounds like you are wanting a feature like the Listings part of the Marketplace.  You can choose Requests or Listings at the top of the Marketplace page but the default page is Requests.

I can see the merit in this and somewhat like the idea but if they fix the Listings section of the Marketplace, it would reduce this need some by allowing those wanting to cash in a lot of FSP for Gold to set their price and allow those looking to unload some gold to buy the FSP at the set rate.  Of course, there is still the time factor here which your solution would eliminate so +1 to your idea.

I would however add the option to do similarly on the Listings page where players can set how much gold to sell off for FSP (perhaps an option to auto-fill total gold on hand) and trade all the gold up to the set amount for as many FSP available starting with cheapest first without going over the set gold limit.  For example, if I put 500k gold in the box and the cheapest list price is 180k gold, I would get 2 FSP for 360k gold even if I had enough gold (an additional 40k) on hand for a third FSP.

These could be a nice addition to the "Improve Marketplace (4th Mar 2014)" changes in the Development Roadmap

The main point of this idea is to allow sellers to buy large amounts of gold at once for their FSPs. This cannot be done with the listings section of the marketplace.

I'll post an example to make this idea more clear. In the marketplace, currently, there are these requests:

Suppose a player wants to sell 30 of his FSPs for gold. Instead of clicking the entries one at a time, the player types 30 in a box then he sells the FSPs and receives the amount of gold (in this case, around 5.2 million). The first 6 entries will be removed and on the 7th entry, 4 FSPs are traded and the players receive their gold/FSPs, in one click.

Possible uses for this is for scavenging, large bank deposits and buying potions.

What happens when multiple people are trying to sell at the same time?  Let's say I buy the first 5 listings while you are typing in your request and suddenly you get the next 5 requests.  With your system you would be stuck with whatever you got which is a lower price than you were expecting.  With the current system you have control over how much to buy and sell and at what price.  A couple of thousand gold per point may not matter much but I've seen prices drop 20-30K per point in a hurry when someone goes on a spree.  That could add up to major losses.  I don't think this is a good idea so I vote no.
