The profession XP for these pieces really needs to be looked at.  At Tailoring level 7, and it seems, for many more levels, the most efficient profession XP per piece is the Level 2 boots.  That seems ridiculous.  There should be some incentive for making the higher level pieces, but the higher level pieces require more cloth, and don't make up for it enough with increased profession XP.

You are never going to get a good ratio from making a robe. Furthermore, the robe you make is never going to be any good compared to a dungeon version. The only reason to make a robe is if you are doing Tailoring Daily 20.

Everything else does scale up. Some times it's not as cost effective as a lower level one. My tailoring is at 22 right now, and I craft level 22 items, not 2, or 16.

Simply craft 2 items with low material cost and divide the exp of each by the material to get the cost per material. At beginner levels, usually lower level items have a better ratio. After 16 or so, it's usually the highest level item that has a low material requirement.

I am well aware that they are far too hard on beginner crafters in this game. I suspect that's why we have so many quitters. If you tough it out to 16, I can guarantee that it gets easier. But still (developers), something needs to be tweaked.

my suggestion for tailoring is this:

Always create the item who cost lowest but give most exp, always next lvl check the item you create and see if it give more exp of the amount of cost of cloths.

Once you reach above 16 tailoring it will go so fast to lvling, its just to be able to reach above 16 whos taking time.

Im tailoring 40 so yes i do know what you talking about but also know its well worth the time, and shouldnt be any easier :)

1-16 should be easier, and 16-40 should be harder. Any school with a 90% dropout rate the first month of class would be in big trouble...
