If you are buying or selling items you have 3 choices, an insecure trade, a secure trade, and the auction house. of the 3 choices 2 have a guarantee of receiving your item or payment for item.

When it comes to selling buffs, you have 2 options, payment before buffs and buffs before payment. With either option there is no guarantee that you will get your payment or the buffs you payed for. With the help of a few people here are a few options:

option 1
PlayerA sends a buff request to playerB with the buffs they want. PlayerB reviews it, enters the price they would like for the buffs and returns the offer to playerA who accepts or declines.

option 2

PlayerA asks playerB for buffs. PlayerB sends playerA a secure trade for the buffs. PlayerA accepts or declines

option 3
Option 1 or 2 and a Buff version of the auction house. would be a nice FSP sink."

*with the AH idea you would be able to post a buff for a price, like an item and upgrade how many you can have at a time. that is how it would be an FSP sink

I would say pvp will be an issue and it happens at all level. The hard part now with auto refresh is you miss the message and don't buff fast enough. One big falling of the interface is the personal log. If I have alot of auctions some chat and selling buffs you can miss the message and the saleo

I'd like to be able to sort the single buffs that's for sale by there lvl, if that is at all possible and Possibly packages by there lvl if u can work that part out pretty well.

My inbox gets very cluttered up with MP listing that i have lost a few players message and so i'd like to see a notification or something that helps keep it less cluttered for all of my buffs and buff deals to help encurage me to accept buff deals quickly, so our buyers don't have to wait very long then.

I'd like to be able to block market messages or just get a notification instead of a pm one day if you guys add one/both of the options in.

I'd like anonymous buff trades even if sellers are revealed I think buyers should be a mystery who they are as some others have stated before me a few times, to keep the gold thieving down when u make a deal for buffs, just like FSP trade does. I do like you were buffed by so and so message, but is there a way to not get 10 messages you were buffed 10 different types of buff if they only clicked to buff u once with all 10 buffs and not separately buff u one at a time tell u get 10 buffs?

I like the idea of a auction house system like for the items. No fees tough. Maximum of 5 buffs to start with and upgradable with dots? Something like that.

I think buffers names should be hide and buffs should comes from random buffers. Just like in fsp marketplace.

I would like to say this that buffs should be sold in the form of gold because there are people (like me) in this comunity who dont have access to fsp's...so i would request Hunted Cow to please make sure that buffs are sold in terms of gold only and not interms of fsp's...

Everyone has access to FSPs, just need to sell your gold in the FSP marketplace.

Hi all,

Next on the Development Roadmap is the Buff Marketplace. The idea of the Buff Marketplace is:

Create an easily searchable way to find players who are online and offering to sell buffs. This would also include creating a new interface to define which buffs you are selling and at what price (gold/FSP). The player wanting the buffs would be able to send a request via this page and if accepted by the other player the buffs would then be applied and the gold/FSP would be automatically transferred.

Is there anything in particular you would like to see added to this feature in addition to the above?

To answer a couple of the questions so far:

1) You'll be able to put buffs into a package and specify your own price (in either gold or FSP).

2) It will show a list of available buffs/packages from players who are currently online, then the buyer will be able to request it from the seller. If the seller accepts, the gold/FSP will be transferred and the buffs will automatically be applied. Think of it almost like a secure trade for buffs :)

So, reading the above " Buff Market Place " is a name you have come up with for this new addition and no comparison to the current " Market Place " should be made.....right?

If this addition is indeed to be comparable with the present FSHelper option " Find Buffs " then no comparison should be made between the two. There is way more to buying buffs than to buying gold.

I'm not sure i understand your intention but I'll have a stab at it. First there will be a screen listing all those who appear online selling buffs. This screen will have a filter option allowing a player to search a seller selling a particular buff say " Armour Boost " thereby reducing the number of players within the search. A gold only/fsp only or both filter could be handy too.

So you have your search narrowed down to those that are selling that particular buff. You click on that players NAME (no anonymity please) and this opens another screen detailing all their buffs, any packages and cost. And it's from here you can enter into a Secure Buff Trade.

Or are you going to be able to list the buff sellers the buffs they have for sale, the packages they may offer and cost in gold or fsp or both all on one screen? Either way filters is the way to go. :)

Selling and buying of buffs can not be fully automated there has to be some form of interaction in this type of transaction. Being able to easily find buffers with the buffs I require, or my Guild mates do, on the other hand would be horror show. :)

Cheers.

Everyone has access to FSPs, just need to sell your gold in the FSP marketplace.

While that is true, don't forget the fee involved, and the fact that you have to have "about" 170,000 or so gold on you, which makes the pvp players get all warm and quivery.  Also, keep in mind the gold income for lower level players.

i believe that there is NO NEED for this addition to the game.
there are many buffers who advertise themselves.
the system works in a way that is acceptable.

if someone really needs a buff at any time given
then just level up, and reach that buff-level on your own.

but back to the point.

i still believe there is NO NEED for this buff market addition.
it works good as it is now.

you can find a buffer who is advertising himself on the fsbox or the shoutbox,
go at his profile,  see his prices,  even negotiate,   ask the buffs,   pay,  get the buffs over.

it even improves the comunication between players.  i've made many friends throw buffing
and even more,  i've been asked for advices and i helped ppl who really didnt know what
buffs they would need and explain what does everysingle buff does.

a lvl 200  doesnt really need lvl 1600 buffs in any day..

the level 1600 buffs are mostly used for pvp/ladder/bounties

so this search buff market will help the level 200 find it if they need it or not.

level 200 is an example it could be any level or me

I like the suggestion made by mizare. Keep the buffer's name hiden on the marketplace, but show it on the Logs when the buffs are cast. That should solve the problem regarding gold thieves.

And if there's a particular person you don't want to sell your buffs to, then maybe add some kind of a Black list where you can add the name of the player who can't buy your buffs. This could also be a solution to the gold thieves instead of the suggestion above. Just add the player who bought your buffs to the black list so they can't ask for them again to trick you into a gold stealing trap.

My question to the Cows is what does it matter if a Buffer is online or off line.  It would be easier for you ( the Cows ) to make the upgrade work 24/7 as it only requires the data to run one upgrade.  In the long run the players are the ones who benefit. As they can buy buffs 24/7.     A player can set their prefrennces to either sale buffs when on and off line, or only when online.  They list their prices, have a section for them to make buff packages with prices,  and to beat the pvp players who want that gold list 2 or 3 buffs per point, it goes directly into your bank, not your purse.  To simple, so the good idea's i have seen to this point will be turned down, or ignored.  But hey,  at least we sometimes get to speak out here in our own way.

Right, so player A is out of bank deposits, they send their gold to their friend player B and ask them to purchase their buffs, player B purchase the buffs and the gold goes to player A's bank. Aren't you creating a major exploit there?

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but how about before you go adding new features to the game, fix the old ones? Since the update to the game, the quick wear and quick drink potions are gone. putting any gear on or drinking a potion takes a complete refresh of the browser page. I'd rather see those back before any buff shop. Just saying
