LOVE the eggs! Is the 225 the only one that got this? It would be pretty cool if more or all the dragons had an egg.

I don't remember if it was in global chat or on the forum, but Grim said the 225 is the only one who has an egg drop.

My feedback. To much of the same stats, not enough diversity in the sets released. With more diversity, more players would have been satisfied. This goes for both waves imo, allthough the first wave seemed a LOT better.

There's no next time , Its not the old set ( the old set had like 60%hp 40% dmg) Now both sets got same name with different stats so its a "bug"
You read next time wink.png

Be civil please. They are right. It is the same set but with the stats shifted to their new placement, old craft hung around. If you want one with the updated craft, hunt a new set. The event was extended to allow this after all.

Only Lakota has an egg. If fit it's theme. I might add eggs to the others in the future.

Err, is the date mistyped? It seems very similar to the previous end-date.

Nope. I simply added 24 hours to the event, so instead of ending on Thursday, it ends on Friday. I edited the news and forum posts to prevent further confusion.

The Pontius the Magic Dragon (lvl 1500) is holding something close to Flask of Death on his hand, and c'mon, he's a MAGIC Dragon xD

Maybe in the future can receive an 'egg'...They're sharp and triangular....Poor dragon lol

Can someone update the official Fallen Sword guide so that it includes the creatures in the current legendary event please?

I want to take part in it but have no idea of what creatures have what sets, so the guide at the moment is pretty much useless...

or is anyone able to add a link so that the creatures and their drops are listed at all please?

maybe HCS can then add the list to the official guide... thanks :)

wiki also has no listing of any of the new creatures or sets...

how come no-one can be bothered to update either of these two sites?

feel free to update the wiki yourself ;) it's very easy to find out the sets but asking guildmates/friends/allies or strangers in Global Chat OR just check the Auction House *shrugs* you know the level of the creature which is normally the level of the equipment it drops

The Ultimate Fallen Sword Guide will be updated AFTER the event. Beyond that, the UFSG IS up to date.

The Ultimate Guide is always updated later, so that we "have to" (get to) actually discover new things ourselves. The wiki is updated by players, so if no one has updated it, *shrug* oh well (maybe you can do it after you get the info? since you want it there so bad).  It's pretty easy to find out what each creature drops; just search for their name in the Auction House, or for Legendary items of the creature's level. As for finding where they are, do what I did: go to the realm of their level, and wander until you find them. It's really not that hard. Good luck! :)

wiki can only be updated by players that registered before a certain date (date unknown to myself, but there have been several threads about this in the past), which was before most players came to actually play the game... I have tried updating it in the past to correct errors and such, but am blocked from doing so... as is (I figure) over 80% of FS active players...  had I the option to update it on things I knew and are incorrect in wiki, I would...

in response to the UFSG being updated after the event and asking guildmates:  is this event only for large active guilds that are online enough to share this information? How about players not in a guild or don't know many players?  They are expected to either not take part or wander about aimlessly hoping to somehow bump into a creature?  Come on... surely not?

As I said before, I found out all the info I needed on my own. I didn't go around asking anyone. Beside, why does being in a big guild or not matter? We have tools for whole-community communication (forum and global chat), so anyone could ask for hints if they desired; no one is restricted to only talking to their guild.

All you need to do is think a bit, and you can easily find out what items are available and where the creatures are, especially this far into the event when all the gear is in the Auction House, and the guide lists all realms by level, and the creatures' levels are provided in the news posting.

While I appreciate the option of discovering things for myself, I'm not about to spend the stamina to check on various realms to get items of unknown value and stats that probably I  can only use for composing. (Not that that is a bad thing..)  I suppose one could ask on global chat, but that hadn't occurred to me, as I have never seen much on chat the few times that I checked in, that was useful. (plus not being fluent in text-speak) As for updating wiki, I agree with silenced, I've tried to go on and correct a couple of minor errors, and couldn't do it.  I DO like the idea of the event however  :)

Go to your Character menu and click preferences. When that loads, hit the 'Wiki' tab. You will see the following message :

Once you reach character level 25, you can generate a password so you can contribute to the Fallen Sword Wiki.

Which has a link to the wiki. Under this is a button that says 'Generate Password. Once this is done, follow the link to the wiki and use the password to sign in, after which you ought to be able to edit the wiki.

If this does not work for you, contact Support and in a ticket tell us exactly what happens as well as an error messages you may have received and we'll help you out.

HCS... IF YOU BOTHER TO READ ANY OF THIS, SKIP TO "CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM... NAH A SUGGESTION" below. I do think the rest is relevant, but I'm well aware that there are more important things to do ,oP

Preamble: I'm leaving out references to specific players who have posted here because I don't want the tone to be mistakenly misinterpreted, one way or the other.

TO START:

I really want to again applaud HCS for all the time and effort they have put into this event and especially the same increased communication on the work they have been doing in the last few months, at least. I think it rocks and it makes me glad to have continued playing for these last six years. (o0

I'd also like to give that message to them 100 fold so that it would help to take the bite out of... well... other comments. Along those lines, I finally put a signature up shortly after my first post in this thread because I myself have been fed up with a large portion of the FS player population's negative "me me" attitude. I decided to choose the sig because it's the issue that irks me time and time again every time I come to the forum. Hopefully, it's edifying.... but this is a global game and I doubt I'm capable of correcting world-wide iniquities.

I also really liked this event because, at least metaphorically, it made a mark on a move towards considering game options other than leveling. I'm not interested in whether players think it was "effective" or not. It would just get way out of hand. What I would like to do is to say, quite sincerely, "thank you" to all those players that pointed out that it was, at least, an LE farming opportunity.

In any case, thank you HCS... many of us out here think you're doing great work.

CONCERN:

I've put that title because I want to underline that this is NOT a "complaint". I will try to "de-Egamify" (some may understand the reference if I say "de-Belaricfy", lol) THIS explanation. I don't want to dwell.

I'm concerned about the decision made to change the 1800 set stats. I say "concerned" not because of the decision made but the perception it, in my opinion, causes and because there was a parallel issue not so long ago.

I want to make very clear that I'm not stating that the decision was wrong (no idea) or that the process was mistaken (no certain knowledge of what was involved in the decision process).

I'm simply worried about the lack of communication to the FS Community. That said, I did follow this process to the best of my abilities, was well aware of the vote and read the comments in the thread where rational arguments were indeed made (as they were both for and against here in this thread). However, it wasn't officially advertised by HCS at all. While I was aware of it, no link was present in this thread (a comment that it existed was) and, barring the Global Chat (which I rarely check), there was absolutely no in-game reference to it. Again, only while my eye was watching.

The actual outcome to me is irrelevant, but the perception of the occurrence is, for me, a cause of concern. I'll leave that, like they say in the movies presented for Oscar nominations "for your consideration". And that will be take me to THE IMPORTANT PART OF THIS POST:

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM... NAH, SUGGESTION:

I myself would consider that the implementation of both the Development Roadmap http://forums.hunted...showtopic=59035 and the Content Roadmap http://forums.hunted...showtopic=58948 (notice that I posted them here, lol) were the two best things that HCS has done for the game in the last year. This isn't meant downplay the composing process or the LEs or the globals or the events, etc., etc. Simply put, they represent a HUGE move by HCS in communicating their work and letting people know what's going on. I'm not even talking about the process that lead up to it, which I think is phenomenal despite what I considered to be inherent flaws. Regardless, that is an all around positive.

Obviously, in any feedback system there are too many variables. The essential raw data is difficult to get to and even a player-driven feedback thread can end up acting against those self-same players that would most benefit from them (was anybody here when I huge gold sink stam gain structure was suggested something like over 5 years ago? wish I could take pictures of the jaws dropping open while reading this). I won't bother with theories or studies in retail. Simply put, a client can be their own worst enemy and a company has to walk a fine line between short-term customer satisfaction and winning client loyalty by convincing them of what they really want.

Interior monologue: Egami, please de-Egamify...

My suggestion is simple though its effectiveness is indeed questionable. Here it is:

What if HCS had placed a STATEMENT OF INTENT at the end of the post on this current Legendary Event?

Now the content is mostly irrelevant so you shouldn't take my example to heart (ie, could be way off base) but it'd give you idea.

LE announcement as is and then before the end date and sign off...

"We have created this second LE to fill in level gaps present in the initial portion of this "Dragon Event" with new creatures and artwork. This second portion was meant to be directed towards players who are at levels that were far away from the levels of those first creatures and thus give them an opportunity to farm LE fragments with less of a penalty to their XP gain while at the same time providing them the opportunity to participate not only in Composing but the new wave of possibilities that has been created for players via farming.

"At the same time, we have attempted to focus the sets' stats towards the many aspects of the game that aren't necessarily directly involved in leveling. We realize that a large portion of the game population will not be interested in these stats, but we are attempting to respond to long-standing requests from those portions of the FS Community interested in some of the other multitudinous gaming options such as PvP (regular, Arena and Ladder), GvG, Relics (attack and defense) and, in some cases, Titan Hunting.

"The HP stats are meant to spawn or respawn interest not only in these game aspects, but possibly in buffs (or even level up points) which have remained largely irrelevant due to the current state of the game such as Chi Strike, Ageless or Anchored.

"We also truly believe that LEs need to remain "special events" of short-term duration. However, in this case, and especially during this holiday season, we wanted to give the FS Community another chance to get their hard-to-come-by LE frags for composing.

"Furthermore, as we continue to fine tune the implementation of the Buff Marketplace http://forums.hunted...=61413&hl=buffs , we are also working hard to bring the “new buffs” discussed here (dang it's late, can't remember, but you get the picture, lol) into the game. You may or may not find the sets offered in this portion of the LE to have relevance in light of those discussions. (And I couldn't resist my favorite typical HCS Home Page comment) Who knows?"

Ok, I didn't de-Egamify. I could have simply left it at some mention of fragmenting and set purpose... but hey... since I decided to take the time, I went full out on the suggestion, lmao!

The point? I think it "might" derail some of the typical responses. It won't get rid of complaints, but hey... it might make the Forum feedback a little more positive... not because the idea is better, but because it is better communicated.

It says in a nutshell: “Hey, we're responding to other people. We know maybe you personally aren't interested but we're working a bit on those aspects which some of the FS players have been requesting for a long time. We're also trying to give players that missed the first part a chance to get some more fragments and, hey, you can take advantage as well. We're here, we're listening. If you're not-at-all interested... feel free to continue playing as if nothing had happened.”

CONCLUSION:

Getting rid of complaints is only a dreamer's utopia. Player input is also fundamental for improvement. In any case, PR is essential for a "free" online game.

A statement of intent is little more than an active attempt to communicate. Probably the most important thing in the world. I think my suggestion will help cut down on (not eliminate) at least those negative comments by "some" players that say "these sets suck" and then go actively farm them for their own game benefit.

If that happens even to a minimal degree, I believe it would be a positive for HCS morale and I, personally, would appreciate it. Apart from that, it's a huge PR opportunity for HCS to show players even further that the company is active and listening.

In any case, thanks again HCS and thanks out to all the players out there who post comments that help me think outside of my box in regard to the game. Those that disagree with me may help to convince me... talking to myself, while fun, is largely ineffectual. Not to mention (have you seen how long this post is?) way too time-consuming, hehe.

Prosperous smacking everybody! (o0

Shorter: awesome job HCS!

Have to agree, we are sometimes our own worst enemies. And a new set could've been introduced later. I couldn't vote on the original poll about changing stats since for purely selfish reasons, I wanted it but for precedence sake, this just encourages more pitchfork and torches.

What's done is done.

Really loving all the activity. Keep up the great work. Don't let the Debbie downers get to you!

We've had pitchforks and torches before. Sometimes something happens, other times the villagers get ignored. This time something happened. I have in the past been frustrated by HCS changes to things, I'm happy to admit that this time the change is to my liking, so I have no complaint. HCS acts in good faith when it does these things, it is easy to forget that. I do not believe they sit in an office and debate how most to mess with the players this week. Us happy = them happy.

The recent activity has been amazing. I really felt the game was in the doldrums last spring/summer, this autumn/winter has been fabulous. I look forward to a new content roadmap - sorry BG!! And further progress on the Development roadmap.

I like the idea of a statement of intent as an attempt to defuse moaning.... but it could simply provide a platform for more pedantic and focused moaning. Players play, and they complain, look back through the forum (I recently did, as part of my application for no life status) and you find complaints about almost every issue ever raised. Some tings a lot more than others. Universal praise is hard to come by.

But yeah, a clear statement of "Folks, this one is for the arena players... chill." might be cool. If only to be met with "well, what about us farmers?" "and us gvg players? When do we get us some candy, eh? eh?"

Do we forget that we can all do all these different game activities if we wish? FS has the scope to allow you to try out almost every activity in the game without much in the way of penalty. Other than a slow down in gain of levels, as far as I can see. We need not be different types of players at each other's throats and fighting for attention. True, some things will burn stam and slow levelling, but if that is taken as a default setting for players, everything else exists as possible fun detours - farming/potion making/titan or SE hunting, PvP and arena playing. GvGing. Now composing and shard collecting can be added to that. You can do all of those things, and still go back to leveling any old time. It is a remarkably rich environment, I think.

*Debelaricify* LOL!

Good-bye and hello, as always.

The Ultimate Fallen Sword Guide will be updated AFTER the event. Beyond that, the UFSG IS up to date.

The Statue of Gurgriss Wrath is not updated.
