i voted no as frankly the set breaks sets already used for hunting so changing the stats makes very little difference.
Would you like to see the new 1800 set with altered stats?

Makes absolutely no sense as the change would make future setups a lot more viable than a pointless HP set.

No sense to you maybe, I am entitled to my opinion and I have made it, one set is not going to magically change future hunting setups.Makes absolutely no sense as the change would make future setups a lot more viable than a pointless HP set.

Same thing Pard. Dust Def comes first in the list of stats so I listed it first.
Still Def 30% and Dam 70% though.
But, but, but alphabetical order and stat wise...damage should come first!

Grrr!! Def appears above Dam in our attributes and on our profile so it comes first. (In my head anyway lol)

I voted no.
I agree with the title, the set should be altered, I just don't agree with having Def on a damage set, especially at the higher levels, looking at the sets I've used since 1300 or so and looking ahead majority of damage oriented gear(mainly used for hunting) is atk/DAM or ATK/dam, def is near on useless due to how easy you can pile up attack and use NMV to achieve whatever def you need, therefore I would like to see, if any change is made, an atk/dam set - keeps up with the trend that seems to be going on since level 1300 or so.
i voted no as frankly the set breaks sets already used for hunting so changing the stats makes very little difference.
I see Sohail's point about all the attack being used to create defence via NMV, but having def as a secondary set gives more variety and possible arena/pvp/gvg/offline uses. Not everyone goes with the NMV approach - I certainly do and it works very well. I don't think that is enough to vote against changing a badly hamstrung set to something useful.
Davros - if the new set was damage heavy in boot rune we could use ponamu/griffs/santork or shroud assassin with it plus shield of choice. That would probably be an improvement on what we have now. Probably. Switch it just to damage 60% HP 40% and that would be way better... (I'd prefer 70/30!! LOL!). Arguing against a new set because it breaks old sets... LOL!
I recall folk saying in the past that hunting had gotten too easy and wanted more of a challenge - well in not getting a damage heavy set that fits somewhere with existing sets, that wish is granted!! As we go forward monsters will get harder to 1 hit. But the game is not fixed, more sets will come along. Something will turn up that is damage heavy and fits with things we already like, or fit with new things like Prof Morbidstein's set, I'd like to find a way to make that baby work, even if epic forge and craft don't boost it that much!! Keep an eye out for a sexy elite or champ set to show up! Eventually one will out-stat Kellos or Fiery santork - LOL!
Or maybe there will be new buffs that make HP wildly attractive (as someone else said elsewhere (egami I think)) we don't know what is in development there.
I voted yes. I'd like a dam heavy set, don't care about the secondary stat - let it be HP - but after this chat, maybe I want the challenge of hunting to increase again... but my suspicion is that the only thing that will increase is the number of potions I use to get extra damage....

I don't get it Grim. This forum is used as a way for players to suggest things, then when they do you pretty much tell them to stop. HP/Damage is so useless it's crazy. Why would we need HP at level 1800? How does that benefit the levels that can use it? This is another instance where you've listened to people that don't really have a grasp of what is needed. When the stats for helhearts were crazy high and you nerfed them, we were okay with it because it was over-powered. Now, when we actually ask for stats to be changed, you choose to take offense and back away.
Will you please change the stats of the twins set to defense/damage? We aren't attacking you and we aren't mad, we just feel that HP/Damage does not benefit anyone 1800+. Thanks for your time

Even down here at lower levels HP is valuable in PvP/GvG and Arena. it is a handy stat to have as a player if used properly. But for the players with little to no PvP use for an item it is as you say, useless.
Yes, I understand the usefullness for HP in some cases. I even got beat in arena today by a HP set. I hit him, but he had so much HP, he only lost half of it in 1 hit. That was versus the 845 DEF/HP set (Ni Hong). HP can be usefull, but you then need a lot of it. That is why I think that HP should not be added on a 1 to 1 bases like the other stats. When you add level-up points you should get 2 points versus the normal 1 if you add them into HP. Then maybe some people might use it. Also on equipment the HP needs to be increased, because if they are added on a 1 to 1 bases, then any other stat will beat HP, because of the way combat works here. Every round of combat that HP is hit, it will decrease for the next round, while the other stats don't decrease.

That brings up another point. Arenas stop at like level 1150 or something, so how could we ever use a level 1800 set for something that doesn't exist?

Not to go off topic but the level 225 set is Armor / Def. to me that is a waste of a set... I really have to wonder just why they made sets like this??? Any one I have looked at that was on the BB either has maxed Armor or maxed Def. not both..... I do know some swap between the sets to put a hunter off..

Do the right thing Grim, while people still have chance to hunt it...
