Lets face it , not everyone is going to be spending FSP to get to high composing level. From what I can tell only 1-2 players from any given guild is farming composing levels for their guild to make potions, probably more for some of the bigger guilds.

As a result, most lower level guild members are sending items for higher levels to fragment and make them potions in return. As a matter of convenience, I would suggest a "check box"  option (for the player sending items)  that would auto frag to the player receiving the items.

Hmm... how is this improving the system.... and I don't see how there is an issue if people are willing to be the go to people for their guilds?

I refer to the post here came to mind when I read this.

Being able to buy and sell frags, rather than the actual items that give the frags, negates the need for BP upgrades - and has been ruled out several times already :)

yeah, I'm with Pardoux on this one.  This would actually benefit me but not the game as I would no longer need to buy more backpack spaces.

I don't like the idea of selling frags.

But I really like the idea of auto-fragmenting for the members of your OWN guild.

I dont really see how this is significate different from the current way things work, just makes it easier. I never said it was possible to trade frags, just making the item process easier to deal with. I dont really see how this affects BP spaces . i already have 100s so this is not an issue for me, but its just having to frag more times , aka sending 10 items per time or 50.

edit: i agree with yghor, could me limited to guild only use

Scenario:

Say I have 20 open BP spaces and a guildmate who normally sends me items to fragment typically gets 60 drops per hunt.  Currently, I would need to buy an additional 10 BP spaces to hold half of the drops now and to accept a ST of an additional 30 later.

With your idea, there is no need for me to buy any more spaces because my guildmate can just send me the 60 items in 3 waves of 20 and everything gets fragmented automatically.

How ever much I like the idea as it would greatly benefit me personally, I feel it takes away from the game itself by cutting in to a lot of potential profit that is used to fund the development of this great game.

Hey there.

Nope. It does not cost FSP to level composing. It's a free aspect of the game. It is easy to get fragments. People sell items to help others who wish to gain Frags but everyone can hunt enemies to get frags. This really is not required.

Well each potion creation costs gold. So it is not "free" as you say.

Attaining any sort of significant potion level and you are required to pump out potions all day long, not useful ones.. but just ones to get XP as easily as possible .... costing more gold and frags.

.... AND there is a big cost to those that get really high levels , skipping the potion creation time, especially on higher XP potions.

Due to this cost, both in FSP and in fragment amounts, only a small portion of players actually try to level composing seriously. Since potions can be guild locked it makes the most sense to have guild members with high composing levels make the potions and other members to help in fragment farming that do not want to shoulder the FSP cost. (Look at any high level composer bio - they have notes to the guild about how much each potion cost in fragments).

If there was a general guild composing center that was based on the highest crafter in that guild it would be another story, but noone is going to break down frags to make a level 180 Conserve potion, when their guildie can make them a level 220 at the same cost.

I think you should reconsider. It is more than just "everyone can get frags, so everyone can make potions"

They have to come online anyway to put up their potions, so they can at the same time fragment everything you send to them. If you want to send more items, then talk to them, so they are online while you hunt.

Gold is an in game currency that is gained for free during hunting. Thus, Composing is a free aspect of the game.

Additionally, the upcoming Frag Stash item addition will be another way of gaining Frags. Frag Stashes will be used in new Global Events (free to participate in) and Realm Chest (openned with keys bought with gold (free) or Loyalty points (also free).

Well, I am not trying to argue details. But the fact remains that the "free gold" or "free fsp" (by your definition since gold can be exchanged for fsp in game, then fsp is free as well....hmmmmm), is a "free" cost that not all players are willing to shoulder to get to high composing level. This is not theory, but this is how composing is functioning. One or two guild members are composing while the rest of the guild is sending them frags in exchange for their composing pots. My proposal was totally sidetracked, and I think I my suggestion is a good way to make things simpler for those that compose for their guild.

In response to your original post that it is not required: There are many things that have been added to the game that are "not required". However, they are added as it makes it an easier and more enjoyable experience fro the player.

The original suggestion to auto-fragment items that are received from guildies, I feel, could be a useful addition to the game.

I'm still vehemently against the transfer of fragments (as the thread sidetracked into) but the original idea has merit.

Just not quite sure how to differentiate between items sent from guildies for fragmenting and other items being passed around but that's something to iron out once the original idea gains momentum.

sending frags? just send the items instead ... composing is great as it is right now if you want to help others with sending fragments just send the items when  you hunt ...

rather see other things improved first

and grim can't wait for the frag stash events and chest frags ^^ would be a nice upgrade!
