Since composed potions can not be sold outside your guild and many players like to give their guild members free stuff or make an equal trade (ex. if a potion costs 20,000 gold total they might charge 20,000 gold) I believe composing should be mostly a guild thing I could see many benefits for guilds here.

Also new buff options that will help players with getting frags.

New frag types that will help players get the frags they need when 90% of what is dropped is rare.

My ideas for this:

First off I will give you the numbers in which I think are possible of going together.

Many are seeing this as an all in one idea. What I am describing could be split into 3 different groups. Group one: Guild Composing 1, 1.1,1.2, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 Image of Guild Composing page at the bottom.
Group 2: Buffs 6, 7

Group 3: Player Composing 5, 6, 7

1. Make the structure to where every time you upgrade it's level you can create +1 potion simultaneously

ex. The structure is level two and can create 2 potions at once so say any player can choose to create what ever potion they want and the gold cost will be taken out of the players on hand gold. The potion will then take time to be made and when the potion is done it will be awaiting collection by the player who requested it or could be sent to the players mailbox automatically unless guild tagged then it is put in the guild store/guild mailbox. When the potion is done it will add the xp to guilds composing level.

1.1) Add MAX Potions per rank simultaneously. This is so that the guild can control who can make potions and how many so they could keep the queue empty as possible. And so If the top ranks want to make 20 and their rank allows then they can make 20 but a trial member can't make any (if the ranks permit)

1.2) Make it so that one player can only make one type of potion at a time UNLESS permitted by the rank to create multiple similar potions which could again be set to a max in the rank.

Example of 1.1 and 2.2 together: Player A Has max rank  and Player B has lower rank.

Player A creates 10 potions. Set to half max allowed by structure in the rank, but also set by rank max of 5 similar potions simultaneously so he creates 5x doubler and adept learner 5x conserve+light foot.

Player B creates 5 potions set in rank for a max of 5 with 2 simultaneous potions. He creates 3x conserve+light foot and 2x doubler+adept learner.

2.Guild composing level working similar to player levels such as the way buff levels, time, type, etc. but are harder to achieve the next levels. Say its 2,500 xp to get level 2 since guilds could make more potions when they upgrade the structure.

3. Another guild upgrade could be added to add a tax per potion made. Similar to hunting tax the guild could buy 1% for 10 or so FSP leading up to 25%. Also add how much money the guild had made from the player and how many potions the player made in guild advisory.

4. Guild fragmenting:

  1. Players could auto-frag items to the guild or manually just like they do with their own composing.

  2. Although I doubt many guilds would use this it could be possible for guilds to purchase the frags from players such as setting for every type or common frag the player gains 100 gold rare frags 50 gold unique 200 gold, set it to where the people with the correct ranks can set this to how ever they please.

  3. Add the fragments players deposited in guild advisory.

5. Another structure if none of the above is liked could be a composing enhancement giving +5% per level of the structure. For ex. a level 20 structure would give +100% Composing enhancement.

The composing enhancement could give so much more composing xp to the player for every potion made.

6. Buffs:

    1. Create a buff that for every level on the buff there is a chance when fragmenting an item you get either +1 more frag or double the frags.

    2. A buff that has +__% chance per level that when fragmenting an item it is added to a random frag type. For ex. a rare (which there is an abundance of) will be made into a common, SE, LE, ETC. Or this could be added to a new type of frag. See #7

7. This goes along with buff #2. When the item is turned into another item it could be made into a new frag type called "Diminished" and count every frag in the item as .5 Diminished frags. For every frag type you can make a certain amount of Diminished into another type of frag. I will provide an example and I will swap priory of rare and common as rare is usually the one everyone has too much of and common nobody has.

Example:

Rare = 1 Diminished

Common = 2 Diminished

Unique = 3 Diminished

And so on.

When I start typing my ideas I tend to leave stuff out so If I remember something I will update this.

Thank you for reading as this took me over two hours to make.

People complain game is too easy then now they complain composing is too hard :/
I think this hurts the smaller guilds. It's working well enough as it is. Let's go to the dev roadmap and give other parts of the game some love

I actually think that the time it takes to gain levels (So far) is fine as there are only 50 levels so make people work for them. But composing is basically guild based so why not move it more towards guilds? Could be added to the end of the dev road. They need some more people so they can pump out this stuff faster lol.

hehe ok Why would you care if people complain or not ? Stick to your suggestion or comment and no need to talk about others would be more helpful to the game...

I have to disagree, it's not guild based. It's an option but not guild based. Your idea has a lot of merit but I think it hurts the little guys. It also looks like it would take a lot of dev time. Let's give the arena, gvg, eoc and pvp folks some love. As composing is now, it's been a boon for lower level players as an easy way to make fsp. I fear a side effect of your suggestion is a drop in demand and less gold for the new players.
Above all else, I would prefer the focus being on getting and keeping new players. In GC today, a new player ended up quitting out of frustration of getting past lvl 40. I would imagine not too many players quit because they can't make enough composing potions but I could be wrong

Sorry if it seems directed at you. Not my intent. I agree it is hard. But you should hear a lot of people talking about how easy things are. I guess you and i are the only ones that find stuff in the game hard

My question is WHY? I've done some calculations on how much I have personally spent on fragging, and I for one would be peeved to have my efforts directed to the guild (if I am reading the OP correctly).  I'm currently level 11 and consistent in my efforts to level up.  I can create "distil"able pots that include AL 200, LF 250, and Con 230.  Not freakin bad.  So, remind me again why anything has to change with this?  Are the attention spans of gamers these days so short that we all need a win button at every turn? (sorry for the old timer rant, I'm not that old, just old enough)

I see only more complication and centralizing the game, when the actives are down, as are number of active guilds, so how does this follow current trends?

-1 for me, a big one.

I agree with DeadParrot, doing this would screw over those that are already at high composing level. And I dont see anyway to implement this without being grossly unfair to people in larger / higher level guilds.

I made another thread that is active atm, about auto fragging from guild members that send you items . I think this is something to consider when making composing a more enjoyable process.

Not saying that your effort was for nothing but just add a guild composer. Working similar to players but slightly different. Why not have both? Having a taxable guild composer would benefit the guild plus the ability to make higher level potions for the guild members as multiple members at a wide range of levels would deposit fragments so there would always be plenty. Besides the average guild has few high level composers. If players want a tax free version and want to do it on their own then go to the normal composing page.

And to players saying this would be a loss of profit for players selling higher level potions then why not take of the bound part of composing and allow player to sell them to everyone? Keep the ones created by the guild bound to the guild.

Definitely should not be unbound. This is a great example of give an inch, take a mile. Part of the reason for the implementation was to give value to the junk we find and boy did that ever work well. Now we want more automation and ability to sell? Again, nothing really broken. Let start with the broken stuff. Stay focused. Prioritize ideas that will grow the game.

I like some of the ideas but have to agree that they would make it too easy as well as being unfair to those that have slogged their way to a high level.  I could see a buff like extractor II or inventor II that would reduce the number of fragments used somehow. Maybe even a structure to so something similar. I'm not sufficiently well versed in game design to say which might work better.

I think at the lease number 6 option two and number 7 should be added since most of the items you find above level 70 are rare items that way people can turn them into different types.

The only thing I agree with is the frag converter, perhaps THAT could be a guild structure.

4. Guild fragmenting:

  1. Players could auto-frag items to the guild or manually just like they do with their own composing.

ill figure out quoting some other time but that by the OP gave me the impression you could still do your own composing OR for guild not all OUR progress would be lost, maybe *I* misinterpreted the concept? maybe :)

The above quote out of your proposal BOTHERS me greatly -- you propose that the Guild will control who is composing and what they're composing.

Absolutely against that!

Everyone should be entitled to compose and choose what type of potions they want to compose.  I'm not a fan of Dictatorships.

1) As one is leveling, it's up to the player to choose what they want to compose.
2) I have to have farm the frags to compose, thus that shapes what potions I compose, as perhaps I don't want to make the one that requires SE frags, etc.
3) What if I want to make X potion for myself, but the guild blocks me from this?

4) If someone wants to compose potions just for themselves - it's their right.

Also Auto-Frag to guild -- No Way!  Again taking away a player's own freedom.  This whole thing was suppose to be about teamwork and if a guild can't or the individuals chose not to, then no GF should be given the power to enforce it with a FS button.  They can make rules and have consequences - that is their right.

This takes away a player's freedom. I know many guilds are dictatorships and that's fine and some are set up that the leaders just bleed the underlings dry, but everyone there is ultimately making a choice and not forced to adhere based on a FS programmed feature.

Other aspects of your idea I have no problem with other than not having the potions bound (do away with that and you loose the core of the concept), but this restrictive aspect is abhorrent to me and sorry my reaction is so strong, but I would just hate to see these limiting aspects of the idea ever implemented.

Let me quote BraveHeart "FREEDOM!!!!"
