Call it lag or whatever you like, but fallen sword has slowed down tremendously! It has been taking me 20-30 seconds for every page to reload to completion for the past few weeks. I have hard refreshed and cleared the cache and nothing seems to speed it up.

I am using Chrome as a browser if that helps with the solution to this problem.

Another thing, the forums seem a bit slow as well, not as bad as the actual game though. Whenever I am writing a post and the "1 post added. Click here to see it" pops up, I click it, wait, and nothing happens. I actually have to do the control-click to get a new tab for the forums to see the new post so that I do not lose my place in my post.

Anyone else having such problems as I am?

I believe its not my internet connection since all the other sites I visit come up quickly.

Sorry to say this, but I am getting really fed up with the slowness of this game.

I don't even bother to get my stamina at full because I wont be able to hunt it all when I am full as my potions will run out. Tried to finish my last 500+ stamina with doubler, grrrrrrr was frustrating to say the least.  I am not really sure if I will be able to cope with this for long. Without the good support from HCS I would have given up LONG time ago.

We're not seeing any issues on the server side, can you please click the following link, then send me the result as a PM on the forum?

...sent

while recharging stam - i'll click in to check on potions, bids, pray in temple, say howdy to friends, etc. the site works fine then

this quote describes my experience exactly:

... There is however a issue with FS eating more and more memory when using Chrome browser and for me that causes lag.... I will start our about 75k memory and as I do things on the game it creeps up I have had it as high as 800k memory...

becomes noticable for me after some 5k stam burned - i'm using Chrome, though i don't have the tech brain to know if that's related, as Shylark says

Hoof,

You may want to look at an alternative CDN besides CloudFare. CloudFront from Amazon Web Services comes to mind, if you have not already reviewed. NASA is phasing out Akami in favor of CloudFront for webservers. It is very easy to setup. Also, your servers do NOT have to be hosted on AWS. And while I'm on an Amazon roll, you should check out Route 53 for super-fast, redundant,  DNS service.

Same thing is happening to me intermittently. I am using chrome as well. I've tested on firefox as well as stealth mode in chrome with no noticeable improvement. Just opening the forum, i received that cloud flare stream. anyway, I PM'd the link info that BG asked for. hopefully they find the culprit.

Yep - same here.  Typically open up another tab and switching to that seems to help.

The majority of the images on FS are hosted on CacheFly rather than CloudFlare. I suspect its actually the images loading slowly rather than the actual pages. If you are seeing the slowness issue can you please submit a ticket and BigGrim can give you a another link to test it with.

Game is just as slow as it was two weeks ago, doing an Global event now, but I really regret starting it. I spend too much time on waiting on the refresh then i am actually hunting.

To give an idea how slow it is on my side. When I have a list of five mobs, I press 12345R then i can pick up an cup off coffee take a sip, and put it down again and when I am ready I am STILL waiting on the refresh!

EEEEEEEEEEKKK :(

Switching to IE or Google Chrome solved it.

Well I have Chrome and IE Both are Crap on FS every other site they work just fine... So HCS needs to get their Crap together here...30-55 secs at some times to get a page to load... And don't even try to say it is on my end...
