TOC for short, you see it being said a lot in chat these days. For good reason. Gems are dropping there for minimal effort. 4 rounds and everyone agrees to die, and they get a chest they split. Anyone think this is a bit too over rewarding for something so easy. World Boss battles have died down dramatically since people have realised this is way easier and drops equal loot. Some people are just grinding toc for 4 rounds then they die and repeat and are getting no repair costs to boot. Basically really really easy loot with glims put in there.

 

I was all for making the loot way better equal to effort. But I am not in favor of making the loot way better for so little effort. I think to make TOC a lasting thing. You should have to try to survive and do numerous rounds a lot longer than 4 rounds. Should be kind of random but a good marker would be at least to survive until bosses pop out. The gem market it collapsing because glimmering gems and fair are dropping easy there. I have to bring it up as I think it breaking the game a little.

 

Complaints were made before because people were aiming to do 40 rounds and hitting the bosses but getting 1 average drop to divide amongst one person. Now it seems to be gone in reverse. Pure easy and easy tasty loot. Where is the challenge. I think to spice it up every week to whatever team gets the best score gets a chest to divide up or something like that with decent stuff. Expand and make people want to keep pushing. Make people want to survive. Isn't that what is was intended for. Feel free to disagree. Was just throwing this up for discussion. Not out to step on any toes etc if this is how you get your gems. I just think it is a little game breaking how easy it is.

might be a bad idea but instead of trying to balance the loot drops there they can just do away with them completly....  instead give valor or prastiege points based on the number of waves you complete.

 

make it progressive so that there is reason to do lots of waves.. something like...

 

Wave 1 = 50 valor (or prestiege)

Wave 2 = 50 per wave + 10 = 110

Wave 3 = 50 per wave + 20 = 170

Wave 4 = 50 per wave + 40 = 240

Wave 5 = 50 per wave +80 = 330

and so on....

(those are random numbers not actual suggested numbers HCS could make them anything they wanted)

also they would have to eliminate durability loss completly as you'ld be making no gold to pay repairs this way.

personally I think it should be 0 loot till the first boss is defeated. I agree that right now it is a joke that you can easily and quickly farm gems there. Make people at least work a bit more for it.

It needs fixing and I hope it is fixed soon. Gems dropping like sweets is not how it is meant to be.  :P

well they also totaly need to add more to the valor and prestiege shops aswell the suggestion was kinda dependant on that (supose i should had mentioned it)

I agree with ernzor. You should definitely have to defeat the first boss before having the chance to get ELITE loot. This would mean that you'd need a proper team and it wouldn't be easily exploitable. Definitely needs to be fixed, or the prices of gems will fall even further.

Praetor, it is only so popular now becuase of the imbalance of reward to risk.  There is little to no risk and very generous rewards. I think nothing should be off the table, suggestion wise. Awol only put forth an alternative. Ernzor, I agree. Something needs to be changed and if anything people will get more use out of toc enjoying trying to keep the team playing and surviving, rather than hitting wave four and going ok, let's all die now to get easy loot. Is that really a trial of the champions.
 Personally I think because this is so easy it is killing the motivation for people to do boss battles and die a lot, have repair bills or ...... they can go to toc and have no repairs and easy loot.

It is a kick in the teeth to any player that has made an effort to obtain Gems. Also if the gem prices crash, it will also be a poke in the eye to everyone who has been spending lots on them... while they were reasonably "difficult" to obtain.

 

Fix please! :D

think about the future gems as well...? Soon as this update comes...it will be defined gems in those chests....which will not only continue to crash gems already in existent within the game,but further crash gems that aren't even made yet before anyone even gets to them.

Yeah I actually thought of you while I was typing ernz, as I know you invested quite a bit in your Gems. I am hoping it will get enough attention from the devs and be hotfixed asap, fingers crossed.

Believe it or not, I agree that they need to fix ToC up a bit. However, they can't just remove gems on low levels and keep the high levels as total garbage loot. The loot drops need to get better every 5 or 10 waves, instead of worse. I am all for no gems from 1-5, 5-10 being fine gems, 11-15 or 11-15 glems, and increasing every 5 or 10 levels (whether or not anyone revives). Right now it's 5-20 something gives the same drops. What's the incentive in going past 5 then? It's not the players' fault, but the programmer that made it pointless to go past round 5. When my group did 100 rounds, we got worse loot than when we did 5. So, it's really a no-brainer.

 

It would be necessary for difficulty to increase after 20 if they increase loot. Right now from 20-100 it's the same difficulty and people just quit from boredom.

 

I am all for a linear loot list, but don't just nerf the thing so that no one ever does it (like so many other things in the game)

 

Also, those crying over gem prices, they really have not dropped at all in the past month, it's all just paranoia and assumptions. I see people buying glim onyx for 200g today, when they bought them for about 220g a month ago. So, it's really not such a disaster. In fact, I recall trading Mongo some glim Rubies for about 100ep a month ago. Guess what they sell for now? 150g, or 100ep. Why that's the same price!

 

Keep in mind if you are comparing this to AoE grinding, you need to divide your loot by 5 and factor in that there is no fusion powder drops in ToC. So, do you get 1 green drop or 1 gem every 5-10 minutes AoE grinding? I am willing to be that you do. Also, you don't have to wait for a team to solo AoE grind either.

 

Also, shouldn't this thread be in suggestions if you expect any developer to look at it?

I am up for anything sensible. I just refuse to do another 100 rounds (in 2 hours) and get nothing but green garbage.

No one was crying over gem prices, or comparing anything to aoe grinding.  No one called for nerfs so no one would use it. So far people are having a discussion about the rewards to risk and if glims and fair gems should be appearing as rewards after four rounds and people actually let themselves die to start again with no repair bill either. That is pretty good rewards for such an easy thing as four rounds.

 

Also I made this thread here to have a discussion with the community and put my view across, I have zero doubt also developers would read this thread in this forums as I usually see them reading threads here if it is community releated.  I never stated any expectations I have from developers or players to loo at it. No one else seemed to mind this thread being here. I thought it was a good discussion point.

No offense but what planet are you living on? The only gems that have even close to maintained there same values are onyx and ruby. And who are you seeing buying rubies for 100 EP? If you know them I am definitely interested in selling.
