Just would like to see whether the definition of "fun" For HCS devs and its community is the same or not.

I've posted my thoughts before. I'd like to see an increased focus on strategy and skill, and a bit less on grinding, in the game overall.

I don't like the direction this game is going with the instances. I definitely won't be playing this game when they require 100 hours of mindless instance running at 50. Right now, I refuse to run RG when it takes 47 minutes a run; I won't waste 69 hours of my life that brings no enjoyment at all.

I remember when the intention of games use to be supplying entertainment. Apparently, that's been lost over the years, in favor of stretching content out so much that they expect us to be mindless drones, spending money in order to waste our life doing menial, repeated tasks, as a hobby! No thanks HC. I'll spend 69 hours of my life watching movies, reading books and playing other games instead.

Well, I think that a lot of the playerbase tends to forget that time =/= difficulty. I'm sure that if we start explaining that our desire for decreased grinding doesn't necessarily mean we want the game to be 'easy' we'll win more people to our side - and the developers have been pretty good at listening to our feedback.

well, grotto is kinda boring, mixed mobs are cool and now u have to choose  other gems not only onyx. But... final boss healing himself 3 times for full life, i dont get it, why? it makes this fight rly boring and long. Maybe fix it by adding him more abbilities instead of giving him tons of hp? :P thats just my opinion. Bochdaen is kinda fun and ok, only problem is bugged final boss :P

I think they had the right idea with To3

1. only 3 groups of mobs

2. 4 bosses that all do different things (if they fixed it so that tornado from the wind boss hits everywhere in the room so theres no safe spot, would be awesome -> same for cannonballs for last boss in SV)

3. it was hard to do for its level

Maybe allowing boss to be stunned/snared/silenced (its not like bosses can be perma-stunned/snared, not even mobs can be, and making it so silence is actually useful outside pvp), allows for more variation in fights, if these are incorporated into strategies needed to win (need to stun the 5 sec cast spell or die, randomly aggroing dps for 20 seconds - snare 6 sec + stun 3 sec still leaves time that dps has to kite for 11 seconds), stuff like that.

Not only keeps everyone on their toes, the need to learn to play as a skilled dps class becomes necessary.

Short and easy with high reward, thats what is enjoyable and considerable for humans.

Where something require unhuman dedication : non-human "players" are "hired".

It is HCS choice for who they want to create the world.

what i feel is the HCS are more keen on increasing the duration of dungeons and not difficulty to that extent ,

sorry if i said something wrong :)

Maybe allowing boss to be stunned/snared/silenced...

Exactly. Ideally bosses would have special moves that would require players to respond a certain way. If you don't 'freeze' him when he runs to the 'kill switch', everyone dies. More strategy and the utilization of more abilities.

Tbh, this kind of stuff is standard fare in most of the big-name MMOs.

I'd like to see something similar to To3. This doesn't mean just buffing the other instances, but just making it so that actual coordination is required among your team and it isn't just another mindless instance run. In RG, the only boss that requires attention is Krag, because of his adds and also his flame attack which you might have to move to avoid. Apart from that, the last boss is a complete joke, most people just semi-afk it.

Also, i'm extremely impressed with Bochdaen Tombs. There's a nice mix of mobs, and the Lumbering Skeletons that use throwing attacks mean you have to pay very close attention or you'll get one hit. It's a shame the Shadowcaster is still broken, otherwise it might actually be more beneficial to run this instance instead of BG.

HC, you really need to take the suggestions on Alteration's thread into account. You need to provide the right balance of challenge, fun and length to keep people interested, otherwise it seems like just another 'grind' to get the gear you need.

I agree, the game should be challenging but fun. also lengthy dungeons sounds like a chore  that is not at all fun. well I do love dungeons, they should be fun and make me want to complete them again.

Bochdean Tombs is quite challenging each boss spawn ads and i realy enjoy it. Rumble Grotto first boss is just grab and spank he coud have aggro reset each 30s or so, second boss is ok  and last one is just boring. Can go afk on last boss for 15min come back you still fighting it, make him heal just 1 time, increase dmg from droping shards and let him reset aggro

Bochaden tombs is fixed and can be finished. I am of the opinion a few mobs should be taken out of lvl 45 dungeon as they are just road blocks through time if that makes sense. For instance it takes time to get through them so the dungeon is being artifically extended because I would imagine hcs don't want everyone walking around with new gear asap.

I am also of the opinion the vocal minority want harder harder harder dungeons which will no doubt lead to numerous deaths and people getting frustrated as they may not be able to afford it and then elite minorites forming to run these instances and people left out in the cold. Do you understnd if you want the rock hard dungeons, that is where ascended dungeons come in. not the normal ones. Or am I wrong, who knows.

Ascended secluded valley was the first, more will follow so relax. Having a normal dungeon rock hard can be as frustrating to people trying to get gear and will add length to them making them longer just as people are complaining the grotto dungeon is artificailly extended with all the mobs. But truthfully we don't know how easy the mobs will be to kill until WE ACTUALLY GET THE NEW SETS OF GEAR and we may be able to cut through them like butter then.

So to conclude, I understand what people are saying and agree that the length is high on grotto, but if I was hcs I would have to look at both sides of the coin when it comes to hardness unless you want to alienate the average player who may not be able to cope with rock hard normal dungeons. Let's leave the harder dungeons to ascended. Just my opinion.
