you will enter arena same way till now but when areana reach 8 from 8 lets say that this arena 1 will play with 6, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 8, and 5 vs 7.... next arena 1 vs 8, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 7, 4 vs 6.... but still remain scripting problems. entering script and gaining battle script
My suggestion on reviving the Arena

The idea of randomizing all the participants before the first round is a nice idea. That way with people joining around the same time won't have to constantly battle each other and instead they will battle a random person pulled out of the participant pool.

Pure coincidence.

Yes, the only way to cheat in arenas is to have friendly 'bunnies' join arena matches (this happens a lot especially on matches with lucrative prizes - Brewer's Art, Well Read, and Twinkle Toes).
Randomizing first round starting match-ups is fairly easy to do, so I'm a bit surprised this wasn't implemented in the first place.
An indicator to show guildmate names/the number of guildmates who joined an arena match is also needed...

why a great winner like Nagoyaka dont wana tell anything about this? when you lose 99% of the important battles like hapend when fighting with this user in finals you will think twice if you want or dont want to be envolved in arena. i like arena but i dislike cheaters. and one more questions, its ok to put a friend to fight with you in first round just like
Malphas180 vs. ed2212 Malphas180happend all day long?
Cheating & Arena
In response to Command14's post ..... I do beg to differ that unfortunately you can cheat a bit in arena. I have had a couple people approach me asking me to not change my gear and enter a specific arena, and to not change gear so that I would be an auto-loss (it wasn't a match for the specified arena. One person told me that they were going around and asking several people. Of course they can't control all the players in the arena, but they can improve the odds.
Their justifications: first person wanted to finish off their 1st 100 arena wins; and the other wanted the item from the arena for some planned inventing project.
I didn't help these two players out - I'm too competitive for it for one thing. I can handle loosing, but I can't stand not trying. Also I'm nice & helpful, but not enough to compromise my values. This all being said, it's my opinion that arena is the hardest area of the game in which to cheat, thus it's my hope that it's very limited in scope.

That's was my main concern when saying this on page 2 of this topic
...
One thing I’m concern about tokens for upgrades is some players might start to exploit it. (As tokens start to have more value, it would be more tempting). E.g. Player1 use a decent setup and arrange other players to join with poor setup to loss to player1 on purpose. Then, Arena Win counts could also mean less somewhat.
....
If that kind of cheat which weah, BraveKath and Maj mentioned (have seen or just suspect) already happened. Able to use tokens for upgrades would make some players even more likely use that kind of cheat.

Brice has excellent ideas and others have contributed cool positive input, let's keep that going and get away from dwelling on the cheats, as it seems to me it derails the topic a bit. Definitely pointing fingers here isn't productive - submit that as a ticket. Yes, I'm also guilty of participating in the derailing and my apologies to Brice on that.
Fleshing out the idea of randomization seems positive though.
I respect the ideas here even though I'm not an arena player, only a dabbler and want us to get back to the positive.
Let's all sing ...
" You've got to accentuate the positive,
Eliminate the negative,
And Latch on to the affirmative,
Don't mess with Mister In-Between"
.... and while I'm no kid, I'm not old enough to have been around when this song was popular, in case you're all doing the math right now - but I still like it

It's true! As a newbie to the arena, I tend to jump on the wagon first thing, and it's kind of disconcerting to have to keep fighting the same people, in the same order. I tend to think that the combat system was put into effect because it required minimal coding, and at first glance it "does" work, just not all that well. from my illiterate coding view point it should be a quick and easy fix. Of course, we all know that the Cows do nothing all day but sit around
And Kath, I recall that song too, maybe if we threaten to do a duet we can keep things calm here. Everyone keep in mind that we all are here for the same reason, and the fighting should be reserved for the arena ![]()

Double post, primarily due to a message that stated: "An error Occurred" This reply has not been added as it has been posted too quickly. (Now I can't get the error message to go away...)

I would like to get back on the topic of the Guild Tag Team Arena possibility .... I think that this is one new avenue the Arena could go...if it was set up just the same as the current Arena but all items and gold went to guild you were in...is another way to contribute to your guild....but still needs more input...still hoping the COWS read this Forum too!!!
this would be simple enough, make it a preferemce
similar to arena opt in or remove creatures when titan is out ![]()
Gold / Kill peaks at about Level 310 or so - and then drops again twice - once at 1601 (from average 300g / kill with no doubler/mer/th to 250g / kill) and then again at at 1626 (down another 50g / kill to an average of 200g / kill)

well how i see the tag team was metioned before but
Butn i think it should be 16 players
with a gold to enter of 50k split each
Grand prize 1-5M which goes in to guild bank
but i thought of this in my head
what about guild brackets so if a guild win X times lets say 7 and a guild wins X 5 times
and they verse each 2v2 the price could go higher maybe instead of gold the prize could be a randomize eoc epic idk lol
Either way i do like the idea of Guild tag team

hello arena players..just curious as to how everyone feels about the fatigue after 10 rounds in non-combat moves tourneys...is it working correctly...does it need adjusting ( i feel slight adjusting is needed), probably only because i lose 97% of the time fatigue hits (yes i keep track of every thing i do in arena)..and to me too high a %, seems fatigue will always reward the better gear setup, now while many players think this is correct, i dont because if the best gear setup always wins...there would be no arena...nobody would play- to me, like in real life..sometimes one person is in better shape than the other..and no matter how big or better the out of shape person is, they can lose...should be the same way in arena...sometimes the lesser gear should win..still unsure how exactly fatigue works..to me each time fatigue hits...each player should lose x% of stats- but not the same % for both or the highest stat...yes this brings a little more luck into arena..but you cant have the same players and same gear always win...or arena dies even more than it has...

Good idea to make the tokens used for upgrades that will surely increase arena activity ![]()
But better to keep the tokens rewards like i suggested ...
Rewards:
- Final Loser Rewards :
4 Tokens in 16 man's tourney
2 Tokens in 8 man's tourney
1 Token in 4 man's tourney
- Semi final losers Rewards:
2 Token's in 16 mans tourney
1 token in 8 man's tourney
The winner wins the item ![]()
But how many tourneys will be available in each bracket? Beginners 20 Intermediate 30 Professional 50?

Again, my newbie point of view.
If the arena was a store right now, I would be running around trying to find someone to wait on me, or even another customer. ("Gawd, it is SO good to see you! Let's fight!") This kind of inactivity also lends itself to the dubious behavior mentioned before, especially since a level ten, or a bunch of them, if they have the gold, could do a level 500 combat. Depending on the rewards, it might be worth it. (keep in mind I just started here, I have no idea of the value of the items that could be won.)
What I really see now, is that the arena is as quiet as a funeral home in the after-hours. This certainly doesn't encourage new blood into the arena.
My first thought on new comers thinking the arena was tilted in favor of more experience players was, "Can't these characters read?" I always complain about the lack of decent tutorials in the game, but in the arena this is spelled out in short syllables, kind of hard to miss it IF you read anything about it. That's not to say that there shouldn't be a tad more work in allowing the new comers to fight amongst themselves. Just as an example: A guildless player, or one from a small starter guild, is at a great disadvantage compared to a player who has many items of guild gear to choose from (I'm including myself here).
Rewards. I'm all for rewards. Medals are nice, but tangible virtual rewards are better! (an oxymoron if there ever was one
) The current system seems to be centered on inventing arena gear. I've nothing against that, but it does take up a bit of your backpack, and if you don't have much space (9, count 'em, NINE chests! Where the $#%@ am I going to put them before I loose them???) it starts to be a big problem. Yes, if you've got the gold, or the FSP you can get more, but a newer player doesn't necessarily have either of those. A reward of 1 extra stamina might work, and since it's worth 25,000 gold currently, it's not a bad reward. (Especially for an aspect of the game that uses no stamina
) It also doesn't flood the game with more gear. (The AH looks more like a rummage sale these days....) A few shards might work too.
Part of the problem does lie with the bovines in the barn, and it doesn't require any coding, or any prizes (Grim, this is a FREE fix!!). How about a tad of advertising in the various spots of the game once in a while? By the looks of things lately, most new players come to hack and slash, and maybe use (shudder!) global chat. I went five years without having any idea about the arena (Thanks Brice and Yodamus!) and there are others out there, so a line like, "Have you tried the arena yet? The newest participant is Goodgulf, level 8, who just won a flabble rune." Of course this could be done for various game aspects too.
Just my thoughts as a newcomer. I now return to the arena, to look longingly at the participant listings......
