PvP Prestige - New buffs and more.

PvP Prestige is a great way to bring levelers into the PvP, since we all like 10% XP Bonus during big hunts. So I'm thinking on a way to explore that aspect of the game a little more.

Problems we have on the actual PvP Prestige system:

- The 'All or nothing' system.
I know some players with 60.000+ of PvP Prestige, and they are not going to burn that Prestige into a 10% XP bonus for 2 obvious reasons: That bring respect to the player, and because they almost never level up.

- Only 1 buff to choose.
PvPers don't as much as leveler do, so they don't really need that XP bonus, will be very more usefull if they can use this on other buffs.

And some ideas I had.

1 - New PvP Prestige buffs.
Add a 'PvP Prestige tab' into the Actions, or in the other part of the Attack Player screen, where you can choose between 10 buffs, and for each buff you choose the duration for it, and that show you how much PvP Prestige the buff will cost, for example:

Leveling - 10% XP Bonus (187 minutes) - 1.131 PvP Prestige. 
Gold hits - 10-30% bonus on gold stole on Normal Attacks (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Titan hunting - 10-30% less stamina usage on world map moves. (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Composing - 10-30% more XP for each potion composed (X minutes) - X Prestige.
Damage - 20% bonus damage 
Attack - 20% bonus attack
Defense - 20% bonus Defense
Armor - 20% bonus Armor
HP - 50% bonus HP

Of course we will need to talk about formulas and a lot of numbers, but that is just the start of an idea, but I believe that can bring a LOT of new people into PvP.

(Of course "Prestige hits" must stay bountyable, so BB can come back to life, maybe)

What you all think about it?

Yeah, that is what I was thinking, but I'm not 100% about it, because 10% XP bonus should costa unless 400 Prestige I believe, for 30mins to start.

And 20% bonus on each stat it's too much, that's why I'm thinking on kick off that option.

I think one of the key thing that causes levelers from not pvping is the lower incentive in it. They can get all they need to 1-hit kill pretty much anything other than some SEs and Elites without this system. I think changing the PvP Prestige buff to use a slider of how much of it they use for the PvP Prestige buff and raise the cap to 20% XP boost (with about 2-3X the amount needed to get to 10%, but increasing the amount of time each bit gives by 2x, or doubling the base time it gives instead)

The composing one would never get added I'd say. Same with Titan Hunting one. With LF/Gold Foot along with just the overall thing I just don't see getting bumped up that fast.

I like having options to choose from and I really like the ability to use a partial amount of prestige instead of all or nothing.

If nothing else, being able to use a partial amount of prestige like we used to be able to would be great.  LOL - I'm not imaging that am I?  Could have sworn ages ago we could choose how much we used at any one time. :)  But as I say, even that tiny change would be nice.

Open to other suggestions for it's application as suggested above in this thread -- as I think anything to make it more valuable to the players would be good for the game in the long run.

Gutie - you've started speculating about my motives, and I thought I could probably speculate about my motives more accurately. :)

 

Speaking personally, incentive has got nothing to do with it.

 

I have got my fun out of this game by working out how to level up as efficiently as possible - within the constraints of my own finite resources. Random loss of Xp/levels for reasons I have absolutely no influence over (which includes prestige-based PVP hits) completely undermines that enjoyment.

 

Given that is my own reaction, I am not about to start removing other people's Xp, and so will not initiate PVP as long as Xp loss is part of it.

 

My response to gold loss is similar, but at least there players can control their risk/exposure (without having to invest lots of resources in to getting the protection).

 

I suspect that, in this respect, I am not unusual among levelers.

I do both lvl and pvp, and I love the prestige.  I think it should give more than 10% though.
