yup , great idea , but mine doesn't work right either... :( ,,, I'll just wait a little longer :)

Can you please try clearing your browser cache?

I have waited for this for a long time! Thank you!

But you just seemed to have copied and pasted the Global Chat system without properly linking them. I still see "Game Admin", "Chat Moderator", etc. legends below the chat and my guild mates are not showing in purple, as they should. My color (orange) shows normally, though.

I have a suggestion, if anyone is interested: How about adding the abillity to designate colours to members in guild chat? Here is an explanation:

Let's say I have the following ranks in my guild: Guild Founder, War General, Recruiter, Knight, Squire, Firefly.

When giving permission to ranks, I could designate a certain color to some ranks. For example, I will make Guild Founder, War General and Recruiter purple, for Leaders (and it will show below chat as Purple = Leaders). I will also leave "Knight", "Squire" and "Firefly" untouched, and they will show with a normal white color.

The Guild will start with 1 available "Color Designation" with the abillity to buy 2 more in the Guild Upgrades. (These are just suggested numbers).

That way, a guild can personalize their Guild Chat and help new players see who's who. It might also help sink a few more FSPs/gold.

What do you think?

I like the idea of being able to color code ranks for the chat :D

The new guild chat works great! Not having any of these problems like the ones said above.

I don't think it would be wise to have a guild chat moderator though, just doesn't seem right. If they annoy you, boot em.

Gomez.

Yeah I didn't see the point in adding moderators to the guild chat :)

Did you ever want to have Game Admin powers? Now u can! Copy this into the custom theme (http://www.fallenswo...ings&m=12&tab=2) and get the red name admin power and you'll feel like a Game Admin in the Guild/Global Chat!

.chat-self .chat-username a
{
	color: #e44848!important;
}

Hurry up and get your powers while they last. Limited suply of power.

This is purely visual, you do not realy get any powers and if you don't follow the rules then BigGrim will kick your ass!

Is it possible to have the side bar guild chat update in real time also? Instead of having to refresh the page for the sidebar guild chat to update.

I don't know if this has been suggested yet, but my initial thought when seeing the guild chat made me desire the ability to pop out the chat into its own window with nothing but the chat there (Sort of like Twitch's chat).

The way it's set up, you need to have it in a separate tab/window already anyway to keep your attention constantly on the chat while doing your everyday Fallen Sword activities. Being able to pop out the global chat would also be something I would use personally and I think it would result in more people wanting to use these new chat services.

Any opinions on my own? =)

Apparently I don't rate an explanation. But for those who like the global chat this seems to be a welcome update. Even if I don't get it, it is nice to be part of a game that does do regular updates. So Thanks HCS!

So im assuming after a few days the "try new guild chat" will be replaced by a bold "active guild chat" or something more visible to indicate that its the new guild chat feature or will it be possible to toggle a preference to set it so it is automatic much like the new/old world map?

And i like the idea of adding possible colors to guild chat, more so for leaders so that new members can be more aware of a leader being online in chat and not just a green light on the guild management page and possibly on auto refresh.

I'll just go ahead and assume you didn't read my entire post. So, any opinions on my idea?

hey hoof if your still hanging around, did you see our ideas on a possible "Guild Alliance" chat in the "in-game Guild Merger" topic? It's not the best brainstormed idea yet, but i think with this new chat setup, it might be a bit easier to do. A Guild alliance chat feature would only strengthen guild alliances and i think even strengthen the FS community by building stronger bonds across the board. I don't see how adding a dynamic like that to the game would be bad thing at all.Ya you can have an outside chat source, but having a feature on the FS site offers better accessibility and will be more convenient.

I hope the items on the Roadmap are on schedule.  I like the old sidebar chat -- it's there where I can see it no matter what I'm doing.  Having THAT refresh more often would be great, but if I'm busy elsewhere whether hunting, BH'ing, etc - it does anyway, so wasn't a big deal.

This would be a great device for Alliance Chat if we could ever establish formal Alliances, but for guild ... *shrug*  I'm not going to use it when hunting as it just slows things down.

I'll be unpopular,  and state that it's about as useful as thing-a-ma-jigs on a bull.  It's bells and whistles.  When this was announced being in the works, I  was wondering what the problem was that needed fixing.  I will go so far as to say that it looks like a decent bit of programing, giving people who make mistakes, an extra thirty characters or so to catch them.

Okay so if you post in one chat it shows in both. The only real difference I see is that you can read one from top to bottom, and the other from bottom to top. So I must be missing something. Can someone explain it to me in little words so it makes sense?

Since your being ignored like I usually am, let me give it a shot. My understanding is the guild chat on the right hand side of your screen doesn't refresh automatically. The newly implemented guild chat requires no screen refresh on scrolls live. I see the biggest benefit to Titan hunters as they can chat without refresh in the entire screen. This is also helpful for folks that like to do other stuff so can leave the guild chat window open and not miss messages

Thanks yotwehc. I've received several in game messages from people explaining it to me which I also appreciate. Honestly, I thought the guild chat side screen thing auto refreshed. But then I'm usually moving around in the game so it works that way for me. While this update is not anything useful to me personally, it is obviously something that others can make use of. Having been part of games that died due to lack of updates, I don't want to take anything away from HCS for being diligent enough to keep things moving.  But like Bravekath, I hope that the Roadmap scheduled changes are not being held back because of this.

If a Titan Hunter isn't just cleaning up a titan at a leisurely, uncontested pace and instead actually going for the secure, I doubt they're going to be using this as it will slow the system down.  Typically one tries to remember to turn off everything possible.

Even if you're doing this with your team, you divide up the map - quick and dirty and focus.

+1, not sure why it was even needed..so many major aspects of the game -arena,pvp,gvg that really need to be fix are being put on the back burner for this..why ? this does very little for the overall state of the game...fix the major probelms that have needed to be fixed for a long long time...many have waited patiently for months and months..even years for arena,pvp and gvg to get fixes..only to have this be a priority.??..much confused..

Maybe that's why I stink at Titan hunting. Lol. I always thought it was my awful connectivity.

I think the arena/pvp/gvg "fix" is not as easy as you think. What exactly is broken? Ask 5 players and you will get 5 different answers. How many always get disappointed when a new "fix" is released. Wasn't the current ladder a "fix"? Wasn't limiting gvg attacks to 25 a "fix"? Just sayin. Easy to say fix it. But there is no consensus to what exactly needs to be fixed.
